Madi first discovered porn at the age of 13. She was quickly consumed by shame and the belief that she was the only girl looking at pornography. The cycle of looking at porn as an escape and the feelings of shame kept her from breaking free. Once she opened up to others about the struggle she was experiencing, she was able to understand that she wasn’t alone and connect with her true identity.
Fight the New Drug is a non-religious and non-legislative organization that exists to provide individuals the opportunity to make an informed decision regarding pornography by raising awareness on its harmful effects using only science, facts, and personal accounts.

We need meaningful relationships and interactions. Like she described in this video, knowing we are loved and valued can really make a difference. But also having self worth to reject and block porn because we love and value ourselves.

      What is? Religion?

    • @VivianStorm

Pornography is everywhere, even when I do not want to see it, and religion is as well. You may be under the impression that only religious people are against pornography, but Im an atheist, and Im well aware off all the negative impacts that porn has on relationships, people and culture@@larrycarter3765

@@larrycarter3765Lol. Dude, don't be a fool, religion is not like it used to be, I would think that about 80 years ago you could still find it even in soup, but nowadays there are fewer and fewer religious people for x or y reason. Tremendous nonsense you just said.

I like her advice about mindfulness (4:20). I oftentimes let myself indulge in my very first thought without taking the time to think about what I'm actually doing. Thank you FTND for staying committed to relaying the message

It's so great to hear the perspective of a woman. I really appreciate her being able to open up and talk about it. I imagine it's not easy to do, as a woman. It takes a lot of courage.

What a wonderfully articulated outline to fighting and winning the battle with what desires, at a dark level, to overtake your heart soul and mind. So thankful you highlighted the negativity of shame and the positivity of the I AM statements. Glad you had a trusted adult in your life to talk to.

So brave for telling your story. The stigma around viewing porn is really oppressive so it heartens me to see stories like these. People just being willing to step out into the light of day and say yes I struggled with this and that doesn’t make me bad or disgusting. Grateful for your courage!!!ty.

Disturbing thing I've seen back when Periscope was a thing is weird underage-ish scenarios where seems are underage but aren't reporting it or seems gets much attention before it would be reported . Recently on Twitter was a profile similar and is uncomfortable being the one that says something like Age?? In a bunch of comments saying Hot and Sexy.....

I use to be in my Woodworking shop a good part of the and sometimes into the evenings … Now, the passing of my late wife of 43 years all I do is Repeatedly scroll RUclips and FB all day … I sometimes have to recharge My iPad … My TV in my Smokehouse is on RUclips so I even watch it when taking a break from it to have a smoke … Which in turn leads me to staying out there for an hour VS just having a smoke and coming back in the house … Computers went from being a Great Learning Tool and Helpful Work tool to a place to occupy the time of lonely people … It sometimes is the most interaction i get with other people ….

Please do some videos about young religious people and porn and masturbation. So many commit suicide because they feel guilty to masturbate because they are forbidden to in their church and religions. Many also turn to porn. Would love to hear their stories

There are times where we where very deep on porn addiction. I'm free from the habit now, but the only thing that helps me was God. Even if I don't feel the presence i would pray everything. Jesus was my counselor and friend untill now. Also join nofap community it would help you to navigate all things, read the bad things that pornography will give you. Look that up and judge your past, it was great to be on screen all the time? You would be productive when you objectify women's? That would open the freedom gate surely.
