    The first time I used mine I could not believe how much stain it removed. My teeth looked and felt t like I just came home from the dentist. Not sure how it compares to the 5100 or the 4100. Amazon had it on sale for $99 wasn't much of a price difference. Highly recommended.

    I was wondering why the brushing vibration was changing! Thanks for explain it was the pressure sensor. Just upgraded from a much older Sonicare model so that’s new to me.

    Did they fix the common issue these series had? The loose screw causing the brush head attachment to become very loose to the point were it caused the electric brush to become an expensive normal brush. My last one lasted about seven months before that issue came up. It’s fixable, but they make it a pain to take apart.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  8 месяцев назад

      I've not experienced such an issue. I can't say I recall anyone experiencing this issue with this brush, but that isn't to say it hasn't happened.

    I learned from you website that 6100 brushsync auto switches between modes based on if you snap a g2, or w2, or c2.
    But does it auto switch as well if they detect a g3, c3, or w3? Have you tested this?

    I am wondering about the "Intensity Setting" the 6100 version has, compared to the 4100 and 5100 that don't have this feature. Does the setting on "high" mean there is more than 31,000 strokes? Will it feel much stronger? Thank you for the reply!

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  4 года назад +1

      No, not that I can tell. As far as I am aware, the high intensity on the clean mode on the 6100 is the same as clean on the 4100 or 5100.
      Unfortunately Sonicare don't give any information on precisely how the intensity settings vary in terms of brush strokes.
      This article may be helpful for you to round off the explanation and understanding: www.electricteeth.com/philips-sonicare-cleaning-modes/

    • @Magnulus76
      @Magnulus76 2 года назад

      @@ElectricTeeth Most of the Sonicare toothbrushes seem to vary the intensity by changing the volume of the brush movement, not the rate.

      6100 has 62,00 strokes. You have that on Philips official website.

  • @donrichitt

    There are numerous model #s for the 'model' 6100... HX6471/03, HX6871/21 and HX6871/49 are the few I found. Could be others. They are all priced differently. Is there a difference between them, other than color?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  2 года назад

      The model numbers can relate to the box contents and handle color normally. So one might have a white handle and another a black one. They can also relate to the country or region in which they are sold. One might be for the US market whilst another might be for European countries for example.
      The Philips Sonicare website will usually list the main variants and allows you to compare.

    I have one and I cant feel a pressure change or sound change when I press really hard with the toothbrush head against my teeth. Also theres no real pause between zones to the point where I’m not sure if that feature is even working correctly because it’s only like a half of a second or less pause. I’m using the diamond clean head. Can you tell me if you think my device is broken? It brand new. Thanks

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  3 года назад

      Hi Mark. When the pressure sensor is activated, you should feel a vibration in the handle. Below is a link to some FAQ's one of which shows how to recalibrate the sensor. Or it may have been turned off. There is an explanation of how to turn it back on in the manual linked below.
      As for the pause between zones it is very brief (less than a second), so that sounds like it is working normally.

      This is what I worry about. That it might not feel like it's cleaning your teeth. I cannot even find a demonstration on youtube where they actually turn the brush on. I would like to see how it moves on actual teeth.

    How do the intensity settings compare to the 4100 model. I regret buying that one cause the low intensity feels like it isn’t doing anything and the high intensity mode feels too aggressive

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  2 года назад

      The high and low setting on the 6100 are the same as the 2 options on the 4100 as far as I am aware.

    I can’t change mine from the highest intensity. Is this due to the replacement brush head I bought?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  7 месяцев назад

      It shouldn't be. There is no logical reason why the brush head would restrict you from changing intensity levels. Does the button feel like it is working correctly?

    Picked up two 6100s for $100 ($50 each.) You said they are normally $110 to $130. Did they really drop in price that much after a couple of years?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  4 года назад +2

      Prices are always changing with different deals etc. That is a great price though. I wouldn't expect to typically see the 6100 at this price even after a couple of years. You have got yourself a great toothbrush for the money.

    Does this brush give you the option to choose the mode before you turn the brush on?
    I am undecided between the sonicare healthywhite+, 6100 and flexcare whitening. Any recommendations? :)

      I like the word 'awesome' :-)
      Yes, you can change the mode before turning on the brush.

    Great informative review. Does it have the same built in pressure sensor as in 4100 where after relieving the pressure
    motion returns to normal? Do you know 6100 is similar to 7000 expert results found in USA Costco? Thanks

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  4 года назад +3

      The pressure sensor works in the same way on the 6100 as it does the 4100. As the pressure is relieved, the motor returns to full speed.
      I have not actually gone hands on with the ExpertResults 7000, but from what I can tell it is identical. What differs is the box contents & price.

    just get the 4100 if you dont have sensitive teeth/gums. the different modes is kind of redundant. it ultimately comes down to your brushing technique

    So do you have to move the brush or just hold it and it moves on it's own??

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  2 года назад +4

      Sonicare suggest moving the brush from tooth to tooth and let the brush do all the work. That said our in-house dentists recommend using small circular motions as they believe this is beneficial.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  4 года назад

      Which DiamondClean model in particular are you wishing to compare it to?
      As per previous comments Jair, the definition of best is subjective. I actually think that the Sonicare ProtectiveClean 4100 is the 'best' toothbrush for most people. This is because of what it offers for the price.
      Technically, the DiamondClean Smart for example is better/best, but I don't think that by default makes it the best toothbrush for someone to own.
