I'm coming to realize a big regret of mine was not seeing Camera Obscura live. They came through Chapel Hill several times while I was in school there and I always thought I'd catch them, but was always "too busy". But now, I'm regretting not making it happen!
Their last four albums are aces all the way through. I sure hope they keep performing and putting out new music even though they'll have to do it without Carey. The band members are such superb musicians and her voice is so enjoyable to listen to, not to mention the music creation and writing is so superb too.
Their first is pretty good as well! All of their albums are awesome! Let's Get Out of This Country and My Maudlin Career are on a whole different level though. I wish they would've made more but I totally understand why choose not to.

how can a girls voice be so beautiful without any editing etc? i guess there is some echo thrown into the amp or something. it seems like most other artists sound like garbage and need to make their voice sound like robots though. this is singing live in an open space with poor acoustics and its like a recording
