Imagine seeing the $10 one for the first time. Weird dangly glowing bits in the dark of the sea. You go to see if they are something you can harvest, and when you get too close, the lights on it turn on and illuminate a giant terrifying face with rows of teeth and cold unfeeling eyes Pants: Shat
7:34 it would look good with centipede like limbs and can be found on the sea floor or swimming a little above it. Camouflage that make it near invisible until it attacks, and maybe it can make certain clicking sounds depending on how close it to you . That would be pretty scary
The third Leviathan could have tons of potential lore-wise. Called something along the lines of the “Sea Wanderer”, it could be one of the first rough drafts for the Warper, created by the Precursors as a creature capable of going both on land and swimming around in the sea, killing anything and everything infected with the virus. Although around the size of the warper, the Precursors could not stop it from growing, and becoming more and more destructive. Eventually, they trapped it deep underwater, away from where it could destroy the entire planet.
but why would the precursors make it so human? it looks like it would be dead within hours of swimming into the ocean if Rileys experience is anything to go off.
The Daikaiju is my favorite, but I can also imagine the Roach fitting in as the leviathan to keep the player out of the Void. The artist said that it could burrow and ambush, so maybe it could wait in the ground along the drop and jump out some time after it "hears" you when you actually enter the biome. it would be similar to the Ghosts, but much quicker, larger, and more devastating.
Lore-wise, it could burrow into the sides of the crater in the OG game at the edge of the void and hunt the adult ghosties when they get too close (or the player when they're in a vehicle). I'd like to think it would be like many deep sea creatures on Earth, many of which can go for years without a meal and tend to move very little to conserve energy unless prey is nearby. Essentially, by lodging itself in the void wall, it avoids predators like the gargantuan leviathan and is able to hunt ghost leviathans and the other large beasties that used to exist when they wander too close. Since most of its prey is now extinct (or at least no longer present in the area the game takes place), the 1-3 that would be present in the game are likely the last of its kind. Just a random idea. The Daikaiju is also my favorite. I'd like to think that it would be capable of killing and eating amp eels since it would probably have a natural resistance to electric current, making it also immune to the perimeter defense system of the Seamoth.
Honestly the 10$ one looks like an amazing concept for the colossal leviathan skull that you find in the lost river next to the research facility you get the cuddlefish in.
@@ovenmitch4635 I think they're talking about the OTHER huge leviathan that looks like it could have walked the seafloor, but hope they maybe manage to add that in the de-extinction mod
I really like the Roach, but mainly the humanoid $50 one. I think a cool idea would be that in a future installment, you character contracts some mutated strain of Karaa, and develops hallucinations and starts fainting. You could be in the void, faint from the virus progressing, and wake up to see it in-front of you, with it basically stalking you from that point on. They could have the PDA not recognise any creature, any suggest that the player is merely experiencing psychological symptoms from the virus. As it continues stalking, the frequency of the events increases, with audible tapping on the wall of your cyclops/sub (or base) being present. It could even open base hatches and sub doors, requiring bulkheads. You could even return to a separate base, only to find it destroyed by breaking the windows and flooding it. Not having it leviathan size, but larger than a Warper would be much more interesting than a killer leviathan limited to a certain biome. It could track you from every biome, only watching from afar e.g., you are floating on the edge of a drop-off at night outside of your sub, and see a bio-luminescent figure floating off in the distance. When you look away or at your PDA, it swims full-speed at the player, then darting off when reaching you. Having the first sentient creature, bar the Emperor, would be thrilling.
Because money isn’t everything. Most likely the other artists hadn’t heard of Subnautica, or they just didn’t care much for it. And there’s the chance that the $10 artist actually knew about the game and had possibly played it before. Who knows though...
Hey mate, Just sending you a message to let you know that I found one of the time capsules you left in Subnautica from before the pre-release. You asked that whoever found the capsule send you a message, so here I am. Thank you very much for the capsule! Have a good one mate.
I genuinely liked all of them, the first one is spot on and looks incredible, the second one i feel could fit the game but would need to scale down, the third one could hold so much lore potential and would seem terrifying but needs a scale-up. and for the last one could work, but just not as a leviathan.
the roach leviathan would really fit on the crash zone or the dunes ngl, spooky looking and it could come out of the sand and hunt a reaper or something, plus slap any creatures attacking it with its tail or bite em with that creepy face.
It would be so cool if there was a scripted event where a reaper could come charging at you from nowhere only to get snatched up like 20 meters away from you after brushing against what looked like some flora by the leviathan before retreating back into the sand. Would be really cool to teach the player, “that plant right there might not be what it seems”
That flashlight idea is actually really cool Imagine swimming in a totally dark place (like void or something) and suddenly you see a bright light amidst the darkness. That’d be thrilling
The second leviathan really got me thinking. The long tentacle bits on the tail can whip out and attach to the submarine and drag the player closer to its mandibles, and I was thinking it could screech really loudly it shakes the submarine and shuts down power putting you and the creature in complete darkness for like 5 seconds for it to open it's eyes and bite down.
My order: 1-4-2-3 The first is in subnautica style and this is why I like it the most. The fourth looks good but is not in subnautica style, it still is good. The second isn't finished. The third sucks xD
Oh god, the 2nd leviathan would be TERRIFYING. Imagine you're going through the void, you turn on a light on your submarine and you see that large face.
Imagine you are voyaging around the ocean in your cyclops and all of a sudden you hear a clicking sound getting closer, you turn on the the lights and see this creature that is gigantic with mandibles and no arms right in front of you. I'd have a heart attack before it had the chance to kill me.
I almost see the Mantis Shrimp with the 4th Leviathan. Imagine it punching the water, creating eddies and cavitation bubbles disrupting your submarine control, or pouncing out of a wall/ more enclosed late game area in Subnautica.
The one at 6:44 Hmm I'm thinking of maybe like a constricter, due too the lack of limbs it wraps around it's prey and squeezes it to death or something like that
I like that you typed “witch” when you meant “which”, because I like the idea of calling it the “Witch leviathan” or something like that based on your description and it’s humanoid-ish form.
The second one could be named the kathu leviathan (after kathulu) because I imagine it's tail actually being 10 segments that split apart and grab you. It could also have the ability to constrict around your submarine and crush you before eating you. The third one could be named the qzra (named after a random word generator) and it would be around the size of the cyclops, it could wrap you up in a web trap that it leaves behind when it attacks, it's basically spider man in the fact that it can puke up large bits of webbing that would engulf anything that they come in contact with.
I feel like the last leviathan would sit in an area filled with rocky spires and crawl along the spires with its dagger-like legs. Once engaged after popping up from the ground, it would then give chase by crawling along the spires, which it would do instead of swimming after the player. Should the player stray to far away from the spires but still within the leashed area for the leviathan, it would leap from the nearest spire and swim after the player. The name of this leviathan? The Dalamustacion.
$10 - 1st, $100 - 2nd, $25 - 3rd, $50 - hard pass. Cool idea for a video by the way, wish it hadn’t cost you so much just for the cheapest to be your favourite though. I’d say “do it again!”, but honestly you don’t have to. Keep up the good work.
this is a accurate tier list i could defo see 1 in below zero (orca colors) and the roach that can be in either subnatica 25 was cool but a bit too big and we dont talk about 50 dollers
I would have a hard pass on any but the first. Especially the 3rd. The face looks like a completely different art style from the rest of the piece. I hate that.
The third one be my second favorite! Cause when you look at it looks elastic and like stretchy and with the mark between it's body it looks like it can rip open and attack! So when you get too close it like stretches out it's arm and shoves you into it's body and slowly crushes your sea-moth and after it releases you! But when it's on land (sorry i didn't include this but it looks like it would walk on land) when you get too close (this is a death animation) it runs towards you with that grin it has and opens up it's chest and puts you in and crushes you. For the prawn suit it know that if it opens up it'll get destroyed so what it does is it a streach with it's arm and slams you to the ground damaging you for 10 hp and your prawn for 25, i forgot the giant ships name but when too close it will wrap it's arm around the ship and fulls on slams you down doing damage to you for 15 and for the ship everything would get damaged! And the name i have for it is the "??? Leviathan" i didn't have a name lmaoo
I think the $20 one was really good. It was snakelike, which fits Subnautica’s fauna. Also the teeth, mouth, and eyes are fitting as well. But it was a bit humanoid, and I kinda thought that was cool, it’s fits the Below Zero stuff, so I feel like this creature could somewhere in the void halfway between our tropical world of the first Subnautica and halfway to Below Zero’s chilled waters.
@@minestar2247 I mean they couldn't have taken 30seconds to google it? The $25 is one thing. That isn't a ton to spend. The $50 guy though should have at least done a quick search. He would have quickly seen that he was completely wrong.
For the second creature it’s body could give off a EMP that shuts down any electronics including vehicles when it notices the player. It’s eyes glow in the dark and it’s scream lures in lower class leviathan and creatures like the reaper.
You've made it a several hundred thousand meters into the void when everything goes quietly, then you hear a low hum, you turn on the lights of your ship and you see its face staring back at you
The $10 one is my favorite and it reminds me of the bone shark. The $25 one is a pretty cool concept. The $50 one got the wrong message but still reminds me of the warper. The $100 one is my 2nd favorite and it really reminds me of the sea treader.
Great video. But what if next time you specify one single feature the leviathan should have. That way the artist aren't completely in the dark, although it turned ot well this time. Maybe for that you could use some fanmade leviathans that don't have a scetch yet.
The third one would be able to move really fast and be able to brute force it’s way through sea walls and it would be able to blend into walls or coral reefs and use its squid like head to attract unsuspecting fish or other animals near it to eat
The first and the last one is the one's I like the most. The only thing with the fourth is that it didn't really explain unique abilities as good as the first one did. Other than that. I get what Aci is saying with it not really fitting the Subnautica theme, but it's really awesome nonetheless.
I feel like the last one, if scaled down, could be added to the void near the Crag fields, or just in the crag fields, just to add some flavor to the area since it's so barren. it gives me the feeling that it would lurk amongst the rocky spires and hide amongst them. if it's not too scaled down it could even be placed near the edge of the Crag Fields and encounter the Ghost Leviathans in the void and fight with them occasionally as they're natural enemies.
I can imagine the leviathan with a human like body with no arms and a tail using it's tail to smack the living daylight out of the cyclops and grabbing it with it's mouth doing 75 damage and the tail smack could do 25 damage
The second one should be able to go almost invisible and should be able to cover the area of 100 metres around them with a corrosive poison and the organs are snake like , in nature it would also be able to dig through the see floor at high speeds and pop at of nowhere
The fourth one has a lot of potential I think. It could be really cool to have like an area with big vines mixed in with the antennae and if you get to close it jumps out at you
The 25 dollar one is The Lord Of The Storm, and seeing how it is compared against the Atlas sub, it is huge, so it may be able to spin and create huge whirlwinds pulling everything to it, like an underwater black hole, and then with everything at the center of the whirlwind, it goes to the bottom and shoots straight up, eating everything
Funny thing i always hated reaper leviathans before i started to watch your channel. Now when i slay leviathans they are the only kind i spare. Also pretty cool idea.
7:35 The Moon Leviathan, can open its chest to reveal a moon like orb sucking and hypnotizing creatures in. It has small tentacles and two big ones along the body to grab and move thing around, also used to swim. Can copy the sounds of apex and alpha creatures to lure other sea dwellers in. Has reflective tissues on the scales to deflect to stay hidden. Lastly, it has crazy biting force with huge shard tears that can tear through harden metals.
about what you said about not being close to the sea floor in relation to the roach leviathan, imagine an area like the dead river except with an even lower ceiling, with some kind of brown stringy plant life growing up from the floor. The roach would be perfectly camouflaged and would make for a very tense and dangerous area
$50 the watcher Whenever you get close ur pda says "you are being watched..." Attack: kind of like the reaper. Grabs you with one hand then punches whatever you are in.
“You are being watched....” -pda You spin, knowing ones near. Looking in to the dark, you complete your 360. You look up and see nothing but darkness, as your 500 meters down. You look down and you see movement. .Then, with faint, glowing eyes you see a figure rising. You turn, with fear in every fabric of your body, powering up your seaglide in an attempt to escape, but its to late. You feel its cold hands close around you and squeeze, and you sigh deep inside that you’ll have to return. Perhaps in the next life you’ll have better luck.
That last one could work in a terrifying way - imagine having it in it's own biome, and having it blend in with the terrain. The only difference between it and the surrounding area would be the texture - the landscape would be brown/grassy, almost full of moss. Whereas on it's skin, you could see a glossy texture over some scales. Imagine swimming super close to the wall, and then freezing up as you realize it's the Roach. That'd be sick as hell.
I dont have an ability for $25 scetch one but since it looks like a warper, what if the death animation is it making a portal in front of you that warps you into its mouth. Just there wide open waiting to eat you
10 USD, really cool with a good description and abilities, definitely fits the Subnautica style and I feel like the person who made it has seen the game before. 25 USD, cool design with a unique kind of creature, I think the person probably not knowing Subnautica makes it really cool and unique, overall great and unique drawing! 50 USD, IF Subnautica had more and bigger land, this would be a great land leviathan, it looks like it's in a cave so maybe in a cave underwater it would be walking around, really neat design and is probably what someone who hasn't seen Subnautica would think about when they hear "leviathan" 95 USD, really cool design that could lurk on the ocean floor, I do think it fits the Subnautica style and it looks really old, I also like that it's blind and lives with sound, great design. So overall, all are pretty great! Edit: I just saw his comment and turns out the 1st guy does know Subnautica, nice!
for the last one I thought it would fit in near the sea treaders path, and it could have a stop attack where it would send out a shockwave that could knock the item out of a players hand or the battery out of a flashlight, and if you are in a vehicle it would crack the glass causing it to sink and forcing you to leave.
This was a fantastic idea for a video, very well done! For the second drawing, which I actually really liked (though the Daikaiju was absolutely the best), I have no idea r.e a name, but I have thoughts for abilities. I feel like the second that thing catches you in it's gaze, your batteries for whatever sub, seamoth, seaglide, whatever, just start DROPPING. It leeches the energy away. Something about the way it's looking in the drawing makes me think of a parasitic gaze. When you know this thing's around, either try to escape before it turns around to get you in its sights, or ABANDON SHIP and swim away as fast as you can. Or better be ready with lots of spare batteries!! This would also force players to utilise things like cover and increase the fear factor exponentially, especially if you are in an unfamiliar Biome and are scrambling to find cover!
A little idea for a land liviathin is :the coast: it has a island on it back that you can go on but be careful it can make a little earthquake ability and because of that there will be bolders coming down to crash on you and has a ear piercing screech that attracts other lavaiathins to come after you and won’t stop the screeching until you get off
The giant humanoid walking around on the sea floor could honestly be terrifying. And it kinda looks like it has a seem on the chest, like it’s actually a biped wearing a fishes skin
The first one and last one are my favorites. Honestly, I feel like the last one would be PERFECT for subnautica BECAUSE it's so different design wise from the others, especially in behavior. I wouldn't have expected it in the slightest if it were part of the game, since we see the others just casually swimming around and chillin. Besides, I myslef would often stick to the sea floor to avoid reapers and such, so that would be a good place to stick a roach, to surprise those of us least expecting it because it acts so differently from the others.
The 50 dollar one looks like it would fit really good into World of Warcraft in a place like Nazjatar, definitely not really in the style of Subnautica though!
I have a idea for a new leviathan, a massive seahorse found in the creepvine biomes. It can stretch out and dig its tail in to mimic the appearance of a creepvine. It can also wrap around large vehicles such as the cyclops and damage it.
The giant black and white one I think would fit in the game nice some of the things that i think it would have is a sharp tail that can go through anything but sea emperor and sea dragon armor
For the third humanoid looking leviathian, no idea what I'd call it but seeing how it has a humoid head with eyes and the like, i think some kind of psyonic or psychic mind abilities would fit it quite nicely, seems like it'd fit thematically with the purple background and the like, also seeing how it has legs it might have trouble chasing prey so if it can damage a sub from afar i think it'd make sense. Also seeing how there is some yellow letters, maybe its the artists signature or something but maybe thats a physical manifestation of its telekenetic powers or something, fun spit ball ideas, very cool and creative videos, thank you for making it Aci! Made my day and I might get something on fiverr too seing the quality of these artists drawings
7:40 Drum Chest: These creatures use they chest to generate drumming sound, which help them to find eatch others (in the void), the babies (x2 Cyclops size) 1st sounds relay like "help" morse code (- . . - - - . . . ). This sound help the babies to easily hunt down less creatures (for example Glow Whale), the babies location is between the void and lilipad zone the adults location is in the void. They noise/sound is that big is sometimes can audible in the lilipad surface. Scanner: "Nearby this area is a injured SOS signal, it can't be to orient." - baby " Nearby this area is a strange drum sounds, this can be a realy big creature, sounds like deadly" - adult
I think the second one kinda looks like a warper, so it might need some kind of really special ability. Maybe something like invisibility, similar to real-life cuttlefish or octopi or squid. It might be able to stay invisible until it’s near its prey, then turn visible since it’s so big.
8:41 The Siren Leviathan Abilities- When hunting, it's a very quiet creature. It can sense humans or the Precursors and in doing so, the Siren begins to sing to lure them in. This creature would be very sentient Attacks- Can swipe at you with its large hands, or open its chest in which it eats the player. Hostility level- 9 (very dangerous) Size- About as big as the Gargantuan Leviathan so about 1500 meters
I realy like the 10$ Leviathan and i wish it was in the game

The third Leviathan could have tons of potential lore-wise. Called something along the lines of the “Sea Wanderer”, it could be one of the first rough drafts for the Warper, created by the Precursors as a creature capable of going both on land and swimming around in the sea, killing anything and everything infected with the virus. Although around the size of the warper, the Precursors could not stop it from growing, and becoming more and more destructive. Eventually, they trapped it deep underwater, away from where it could destroy the entire planet.

Aci: orders from a artists that draws realistic drawings*
Also aci: "it's too realistic"

Why the 10$ was way better than the others
Because money isn’t everything.
Most likely the other artists hadn’t heard of Subnautica, or they just didn’t care much for it. And there’s the chance that the $10 artist actually knew about the game and had possibly played it before.
Who knows though...
Maybe he reserched or his style is closer to the subnautica one

I genuinely liked all of them, the first one is spot on and looks incredible, the second one i feel could fit the game but would need to scale down, the third one could hold so much lore potential and would seem terrifying but needs a scale-up. and for the last one could work, but just not as a leviathan.
the roach leviathan would really fit on the crash zone or the dunes ngl, spooky looking and it could come out of the sand and hunt a reaper or something, plus slap any creatures attacking it with its tail or bite em with that creepy face.
YES this would be in the dunes 100%
It would be so cool if there was a scripted event where a reaper could come charging at you from nowhere only to get snatched up like 20 meters away from you after brushing against what looked like some flora by the leviathan before retreating back into the sand. Would be really cool to teach the player, “that plant right there might not be what it seems”

My order: 1-4-2-3
The first is in subnautica style and this is why I like it the most.

That Daikaiju Leviathan goes crazy honestly, that would be an amazing addition to the game.
Oh god, the 2nd leviathan would be TERRIFYING. Imagine you're going through the void, you turn on a light on your submarine and you see that large face.
"hallo doomed human"
“Om, hooman henlo!”
Imagine you are voyaging around the ocean in your cyclops and all of a sudden you hear a clicking sound getting closer, you turn on the the lights and see this creature that is gigantic with mandibles and no arms right in front of you. I'd have a heart attack before it had the chance to kill me.
He kinda looks cute
I got a name for it: the basilisk leviathan
The second one almost reminds me of the smaller ancient leviathan Skelton in the lost river.
I almost see the Mantis Shrimp with the 4th Leviathan. Imagine it punching the water, creating eddies and cavitation bubbles disrupting your submarine control, or pouncing out of a wall/ more enclosed late game area in Subnautica.
Like some cave crawler
Dude that thing would be a nightmare in Subnautica. That thing is already terrifying even at it’s real life size!
The one at 6:44
Hmm I'm thinking of maybe like a constricter, due too the lack of limbs it wraps around it's prey and squeezes it to death or something like that
Dude that final concept could work. A specialized enviroment
In a shallow and bright area wich would give the player a false sense of security.
That Serpent Leviathan from the second guy was actually really cool. It could fit well in the Void in the third game.
Since the second leviathan looks like it has no hard body I could imagine it swimming in a cloud of ink witch it can expand like an octopus.
I like that you typed “witch” when you meant “which”, because I like the idea of calling it the “Witch leviathan” or something like that based on your description and it’s humanoid-ish form.
@@superblox9505 he unintentionally gave it a cool name
The second one could be named the kathu leviathan (after kathulu) because I imagine it's tail actually being 10 segments that split apart and grab you. It could also have the ability to constrict around your submarine and crush you before eating you.
The third one could be named the qzra (named after a random word generator) and it would be around the size of the cyclops, it could wrap you up in a web trap that it leaves behind when it attacks, it's basically spider man in the fact that it can puke up large bits of webbing that would engulf anything that they come in contact with.
This is actually great idea Aci! :D
$10 - 1st,
$100 - 2nd,
$25 - 3rd,
$50 - hard pass.
Leviathan" i didn't have a name lmaoo
what the fuck were the 20$ and the 50$ guys on, i want sum
They didnt know about subnautica or the style of the 25$ one is breaking the subnautica vibe of his Léviathan

Idea for #2: not hostile at all, but like an Easter egg in the void or something
You've made it a several hundred thousand meters into the void when everything goes quietly, then you hear a low hum, you turn on the lights of your ship and you see its face staring back at you
@@craftynest3435 yes, that's my idea

Great video. But what if next time you specify one single feature the leviathan should have. That way the artist aren't completely in the dark, although it turned ot well this time. Maybe for that you could use some fanmade leviathans that don't have a scetch yet.
The third one would be able to move really fast and be able to brute force it’s way through sea walls and it would be able to blend into walls or coral reefs and use its squid like head to attract unsuspecting fish or other animals near it to eat
The $25 should be called the silencer leviathan and it’s ability is to make it self really quiet and can easily kill anything with its mouth or tail
Yes.
Or it could make water noise that make him invisible for the 100$ one
To me that one looks like it’s intelligent like the sea emperor and looks curious
I would love another video like this, seeing the artists make an entire new creature and its own abilities is fascinating to me
the second leviathan could be an ambush predator colored to blend in to some of the deeper areas so it just waits for prey to get close then strikes
For the 59 dollar 1, I think the leviathan was in the background with the ship in the foreground. That's terrifying.
The first and the last one is the one's I like the most. The only thing with the fourth is that it didn't really explain unique abilities as good as the first one did. Other than that. I get what Aci is saying with it not really fitting the Subnautica theme, but it's really awesome nonetheless.
In my opinion the 10$ leviathan sounds like it would be In the mountains area and the 100$ leviathan would be at the bottom of the void.

50 USD, IF Subnautica had more and bigger land, this would be a great land leviathan, it looks like it's in a cave so maybe in a cave underwater it would be walking around, really neat design and is probably what someone who hasn't seen Subnautica would think about when they hear "leviathan"
95 USD, really cool design that could lurk on the ocean floor, I do think it fits the Subnautica style and it looks really old, I also like that it's blind and lives with sound, great design.
So overall, all are pretty great!
Edit: I just saw his comment and turns out the 1st guy does know Subnautica, nice!
Yeah the 50 one would probably be a bit bigger but it's a cool design
I really enjoyed this one! Can't wait for more videos
for the last one I thought it would fit in near the sea treaders path, and it could have a stop attack where it would send out a shockwave that could knock the item out of a players hand or the battery out of a flashlight, and if you are in a vehicle it would crack the glass causing it to sink and forcing you to leave.
The 25 and 10 dollar one are the best tbh
Please do more! And my favorite is probably the second one

I think the £25 could attack by charging at you at a high speed
