Recently fell victim to one of these, but the controller actually did wake the console. The dead giveaway was the garbage rumble, weight, and cheap feeling though, but it's scary how close they look to the real thing. Even had the hidden message on the right joystick and amiibos worked.
Rule number 1 never buy shit from eBay. Especially sellers from China and good to be true price. Got a friend that lost $300 from buying a box of FAKE pro controllers for smash tournaments. Sad that he had to cancel his very first tournament host.
Just bought a new Xenoblade Pro Controller from a French seller for 155€ shipped. He assured me it's genuine and the price seemed good but not too good. I'm hopeful.
@@LleytonSPD No probs. Mine turned out to be 100 % genuine. I watched many videos and read many articles discussing fakes and my controller doesn't display any signs of not being the real deal. The packaging and the lettering on buttons tend to be dead giveaways of a counterfeit product. I advise against buying from China.
OMG thank you just saw this video and saw these controller beign sold on ebay i was about to buy one but guess I will just pay full price for one this sad to see. I have never had one and I kbnwo ti late in the lfie fo the switch and maybe switch 2 on the way but still want one at least they look nice to hold i been told.
Don’t worry dude. I got screwed just yesterday by the same controller. Some dude sold me a fake one. The buttons were green but it wouldn’t sync up with my Switch. The amiibo option would not work too. Also it was lighter then my Smash Bro’s controller and my nephews other regular pro controller. Now I order a splatoon on Amazon prime and made sure they had a return policy. The fake controller I got was from OfferUp FYI...
Actually every pro controller can’t be updated by going to the controller settings like you can with the joy cons and i can confirm this since i buy my pro controllers from best buy or a big retail chain and on all of them i go to the controller settings on my switch to update them and it always gives me the “all controllers are already up to date” answer unless best buy and the other big chain retailers are buying from that same guy on ebay and selling them at their stores lol 🤷🏻♂️
I was also bambuzzled by a similar controller. Box seemed official, japanese, the information seemed correct. It seemed just right but when I used it, I had problem syncing and the nfc reader didn't worked, no instructions and the message in the controller was wrong (thnx allgamefansl instead of thnx allgamefs). Curiously, the product page also paused its sales so that should've been a sign. It's a shame because it was almost identical but those little quality hiccups ruined it.
I feel like you could've condensed this video into a shorter one by getting all your points across smoother and skimming the fat but good, insightful video nonetheless.
I got it in Amazon for the same price. I'll be getting it Monday. Hopefully I don't get scammed because Amazon has sent me stuff marked as "New" But it's clearly repackaged
You'd be surprised to know that it says in the manual: "This product is not designed, manufactured, approved, sponsored, or endorsed by Nintendo".
good info!
Glad it was helpful!

I just bought one from Walmart, and it was extremely fake. I’m surprised Walmart would even let this happen.
then there's me who is purposely buying a fake

xenoblade chronicles 2 edition is my favorite
How can you tell before you even buy it?
The fake ones have no Nintendo logo on the controller
MasterZebulin usually because the price is under $70. Official ones will usually cost from $90 to $200 online because they are not common

Healed my anxiety

From Ebay for $69.99 plus tax.
Button letters should not be colored white. I saw the same controller like this. It was fake but it has nintendo logo
