You said leave a comment good or bad well I have a comment it's good and bad I love this bike but I can't afford it and my credits not good enough pray for me because I think this bike is the best-looking thing I've seen in a long time and I've never owned a motorcycle in my life and I'm 37 now mom died three years ago and I bought 5.6 acres and now I'm sleeping in the car working 75 hours a week and I spent all my money on more important things but I'd really like to have this bike so pray for me that I can find a way to get it thanks Noah
MrDarcy & the Ol'Man sure guys, you do the best and most honest reviews! And I've seen plenty of reviews, by far yours the best. Can't wait for new videos.cheers!!
I like your reviews. Very honest, I like how since you both sound. I also have a Softail Heritage Classic and I agree with you that the handling is a dream. 2 questions: is MrDarcy too young to ride these bikes? Second question, compared to the Low Rider S, which one do you feel more comfortable? You guys rock!
Thanks bro!! Yes unfortunately Darcy is not quite old enough for his license due to the ridiculous license system we have in the uk! And I found this to be much more comfortable than the low rider s personally. Thanks for the support!
What an easy to watch review, thanks guys. This bike has a uniquely attractive look to it. I am leaning towards Ducati XDiavel S too, but this looks more solid and beautifully aggressive. I also read that it takes holes in the streets better and more reliable. I’ve subscribed and will watch your videos to learn more about bikes and go and test some myself before I make the big decision one day!
firstly great video, hope you succeed with your target, TThe Fat Bob I rode first before I bought my Heritage, the machine is a better riders bike than the heritage, but it was'nt practical for me. as in the exhaust was oddly placed for fitting bags or you could fit V&H, exhaust, … The biggest problem was a rev counter instead of a speedometer, in a World full of speed cameras a quick look a speedo may save you from a petty unnecessary fine. but also adding a new backseat, Docking kit for bags, sissybars ,a screen, V&H Pipes, mapping the motor. Oh if possible a larger capacity fuel tank for better range, doing a little bit every few months would you be near the cost of a Heritage 114 classic,.. I really liked the Fatbob114.
Considering the Fat Bob next after my Street Bob, I think its an EU reg that the back part of the wheel if its the furthest has to be covered so we get the bracket, looks like it could be modified and fitted under the guard. great sounding review.
Excellent review. One of best on YT! I have tried a few HD's bikes with M8 engines including FXDR 114, Fat Bob 114 and Fat Bob 107 and I've pulled the trigger..... Just over a year a go I have become very proud owner of Fat Bob 107...and I love it. I picked the 107 as to me is more snappier, more aggressive than 114...and a few grand left in the pocket for upgrades... Ride safe. H&R
God it's a tough one boys. I am from the UK originally but moved to LA and I am buying my first Harley soon from the Glendale dealership. I started off with the fat boy, moved to the fat bob, then the low rider S, but now I am thinking the Street Bob would be a better bet for a first Harley. All of them look so nice but I'll be test riding them when I complete my m1 here in a week. Enjoying the videos, I would NOT want to ride in that UK winter, I do not miss the mud, rain, wind and cold haha.
Tony Rae Yes the weather here sucks! I’ve ridden all the bikes you mention. I think the Street Bob is a blast; big fun and great handling. I’d put the Low Rider S at the bottom of that list. Enjoy your testrides!
Tim H. I really preferred this to the Low Rider S! Especially with these pipes (Big Shots). Definitely worth testriding because we all have differences 👍
The difference in looks between the stock pipes and the Vance and Hines is drastic, however, the difference in SOUND is like a freight train compared to a sewing machine!!! The stock pipes on this bike are absurd and yet even at that I wouldn’t hesitate for a millisecond to get my hands on the Fat Bob! Love this bike!
Regarding the pillion seat, my late missis did thousands of miles on one the same size made of 1/4" thick saddle hide stuffed with horse hair...and on a hardtail lowrider. People are just snowflakes nowadays 😂🤣😂. 👽
Riding around the British countryside after it's been raining, dodging the mud and the pot-holes. Now there's something I've not had to endure now for many years. Back in the day we didn't have ABS either, just a mixture of common sense, a little skill and loads of luck.
First Harley that’s ever appealed to me, so managed to get a test ride along with the Fatboy. Blimey what a great bike the Fatbob is.. Felt like a big Aprillia Tuono! Fast forward a year later , after looking at everything including the new Rocket 3 and a completely different Norton Commando 961, I’m now looking for a pre-owned one👍🏼
Great review as always! I have a 20' Fat Bob and it's a wonderful bike. I had a 99' Dyna super glide sport, 06 Softail Night Train and a 07 FLHTCU. This new Softail chassis and M8 motor put the old bikes to shame! Your right about the stock exhaust. I got rid of that before I picked the bike up! I'm a runt next to you 5'8" 150 and it fits me fine as well. It handles great and is comfortable for even longer rides. The adjustable suspension is a really nice feature as well. Can't keep up with my 17' CBR 1000RR though. LOL
Another great review. One thing a lot of people don't notice on the fat Bob is the hideous overhang of the instrument console on the tank (look at the front). You can get your fingers under there ! Cheers 👍
And can you believe that HD still don't do a mud flap for the front mudguard? A plain black one would be nice and discreet without spoiling the look. I always try to avoid muddy puddles whenever I can as the oil cooler gets absolutely plastered! :)
Chaps, I really like your reviews. The format is good and getting smoother all the time. I like the way you review from an owners perspective as well. Keep it up, you gained a new sub
Wonderful review. Very informative and well shot. I'm 6'3" as well and have been wondering if this bike would be too small for me, but your video answered that! Cheers and boy does that exhaust sound great!
My favourite thing about Harleys is when you see someone riding it pin the throttle wide open, blow your ear drums with the noise, and not really increase speed at all xD
There is no nicer Harley Davidson for riding.I've owned more than 20 motorcycles of many makes and models. Harley Davidson is by far what I want to be on and the Fat Bob is the most fun out of all of them. Be advised : You'll probably want to change out a couple of personal comfort things so expect to spend another couple thousand on parts and accessories but once you do that you will love this bike. Lots of power, more torque than you'll ever need and a really fun ride !
Fat tyres make any bike a bit stand upright more than cornerstone. It is a bit small with your 6'3" seated on it. The breakout or longer wheelbase might show better proportions but bobs is a good look for you because you look like the big framed chap you are . Narrow tyres are better carvers as any pre 86 British bike tends to do brightly
Black leather Marlon Brando biker jacket, black leather gloves and black leather boots. Very Vulture Lord like! So cool! U look like u r dressed for a Vulture Lord rock 'n roll/Black Metal hybrid concert , man! Lol.
The one Harley I'd like to own. And I like how the reg plate is mounted. The Fat Bob is much nicer than the Breakout. I didn't realise it was so much cheaper. Good review, you two. Ol'Man, what boots are you wearing, please?
Great review of the Fat Bob 114. Finally decided to pull the pin and buy one new that had a two brothers exhaust & stage 1 tune and a saddle man seat, all done by the dealer. Absolutely love it! I’m 5’8” and the bike is perfect for me.
Hey I stumbled across your channel trying to decide on Harley or Indian. I’m in the United States. You might have just sold me on this fat bob and you just earned my subscribe your video is well done
Good review, I came on across your channel by accident but really enjoyed the review, I liked the two different age group views and the background music wasn't intrusive like you get on some reviews, plenty of engine sounds and riding shots. Thanks.
I had the 09 fat bob ,brand new, black denim,16 inch apes, sissy bar, leather throw over saddle bags, and everything blacked out...loved it! Rode it almost 1000mi one way on a small trip, had no problems. I wish they stuck to the original look
As an old brit a can without doubt appreciate a great looking american bike but I'm not sure they work well on UK roads.america is 40 times the size of uk that to me is why massive cars and bikes work.very different mindset in lil old UK...personally I'm a big fan of small bore bikes, they still get you there but at less then half the cost.when your living off a pension these are very real considerations.but there again if you got money, and want a big toy,I suppose why not...perhaps if I owned one I might understand...
Yes smaller cc bikes are definitely as much fun, but I like the big bore Harleys because they are so torquey that you can ride in a relaxed way at low rpm and pull like a Rhino on steroids when you twist the throttle.
I have a Street Bob with a side mounted plate and I don't notice it unless I think to look for it> Out of the way? Invisable and to the observer freaking cool!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan I am corrected. I forget US plates are small because its placed on a motorcycle and not a car. I get it now and thanks. Just took a 84 mile run on my Street Bob in South West Florida with 74 degrees and blue skies. I would buy the Fat Bob but that added ugly appendage would in itself stop the buy.
rullis20 Good question. First of all both would be fine. Fat Bob is more nimble. Both have similar riding position. Fat Boy is more stable. Fat Bob would split lanes and filter better. Fat Boy would scare people to get out of your way 👊🏼
You guys can't go wrong and as always I enjoyed this a lot in 2022 but I have to throw in my 2¢ and tell you that I still can't understand why anybody who "actually likes" the way this bike looks (what you often hear) wouldn't appreciate what the chunky upswept mufflers and bar shaped headlight do for the M8 Fat Bob! They're key to the modern badass vibe; take them away and you've thrown the baby out with the bathwater! But a real pleasure disagreeing with you :)
Hi guys I really like you channel, you are doing a great job, on giving us your honest opinion on some motorcycles. I know that this video has been up in the air for a while, but recently I ordered a 114 2021 fat Bob and I was wondering if you could help me on something. Can you please give-me some feedback on the 2021 model regarding changes to that one? If there are any. My dealer told me that there were a few differences on O2 sensors in the exhaust and stuff do you have any clue on that?
We don’t have any particular info but that might explain why the 2020 & 2021’s have a little less torque because of mapping no doubt, to get through the emissions regs
I Like the solid, planted looks of this bike. Long shot Vance and Hines pipes have a superb deep resonating rumble to them. Matt paint gives the bike a rugged,no-nonsense appearance. aesthetically not as pleasing to the eye but the Fat Bob looks as though it would handle poorer road surfgaces, gravel dirt roads better. Id get rid of those flat bars, add some Lucky Dave style bars around shoulder height. Being 5’8” Id install mids. Headlight is fine. Nice review setup, different young & old style.
First of your videos ive seen. I like your presentation style, and the detail you covered. I like the bike too. I have a twin cam fatboy, which I would like to change as it is just too low for cornering. What is the corning clearance like on the fatbob? Can you really attack corners?
Roost Fezza Thanks bro! Make sure to subscribe because we’ve got some incredible bikes lined up! The cornering clearance isn’t bad on this tbh; better than the far boy. Obviously it’s not a sports bike but I’d say it’s fine
This or the Streetbob or Lowrider S and why?? Forget about price. I'm talking handling, comfort and everyday riding. And yes I know the Streetbob has single front brakes and the others are more "performance" based. However, that doesn't always = best handling and comfort for everday riding. If you can, rate those 3 bikes in your order of preference based on said criteria. I appreciate the feedback.
Thanks for the review. Looking for something with a more relaxed feet forward riding position (knackered knees). It’s probably the nicest looking H-D at the moment IMHO.
Thank you for giving your height. I'm 6"3" also. Man I really like that Lowrider S but dang, it looks a little cramped. I also love the Breakout and loved your review of that, but I'm a new rider, and was concerned with the handling. I think the Fat Bob may be the way that I'll go. Thanks again for your excellent review
Testet this recently.. ohh man what a lovely great looking bike this is... I am in love with Harley now... I wish I never had bmw gs850 so I would defo buy this now.. but juat dont need 2 bikes and my gs is new... but ehh I think next season I will buy this thing.. what a beast what a joy to ride... omg I drove street bob by now, street glide and this is just amazing...
Dam it’s going to be a tough choice between the HD fatbob and triumph bobber. They’re both desirable in their own ways. I guess it will boil down to a price point
Thanks to your review, picking up my 2021 Fat Bob, with stage 2 screaming eagle cam and V&H big shots and tail tidy in a weeks time! Hopefully going to be a massive upgrade from the iron 883! 🙌🏽
Ive got 18 model with a stage 2 set up, absolute top review on this bike, im 6 ft and 18 stone and it fits me like a glove. I ride it like steve mcqueen in the great escape but mine would make it over the barbed wire fence onto freedom....keep up the honest reviews!
Bike is a perfect fit for the Ol' Man so that means 99.99% of the rest of the worlds riders will look small on it...after market pipes sound great... Years ago I have seen license plates that would disappear under the rear fender when you turn the bike off...and come out when you start the bike up...not too difficult I would think to make a simple sliding plate holder that is pulled out by hand and pushed back by hand..
Are these guys father and son.......? Great review. I’ve been leaning towards this bike and corona19@CurtainDeath. Might get the Hogg instead, thanks for the video.
Just got one. I like it quite a bit. I like how the headlamp is different than other Harleys good lean angles, and its pretty nimble for a big bike. I do get asked all the time what kind of bike it is. People think its a kawasaki, yamaha, or honda.
How's the handling compare to another softail for the handling? I wanna buy a softail , my choice is the Fatbob or the Fatboy , i know the fatboy has big 240 tyre on the back , but what do you think? Thankss
The handling is very good on the Bob; better than the fat Boy. The Bob is more nimble and will turn easier. The Boy is very planted and stable and a very sure-footed ride.
These exhaust pipes do make it stand and take note. H.D. is finally making a bike with muscle to handle the twisties. I love this thing. Rear fender is a bit high off the tire and they need to rid of that license plate holder bar thingy-looks like crap. With the fender that high, just put the license plate and rear light right under the fender lip. Great review but nasty weather you all have.
Street bob or fat bob? What to choose? I am 6ft2 and owner of bmw gsa 850 which is boring to me and I don't use it as I should.. I mean no offroad, no long trips - just sunday rides for 6h feels like this bike is not for me.. I should travel around the world on this thats why I think its boring.. after 6 h of drive I dont even feel like I was riding at all. I know it sound weird but thats why I am not happy with GS. Recently tested Indian chef dark horse and a smile it gave me was amazing.. this is what I am looking for... so I am going to test ride street bob this week but like fat bob. Anyone here can help? Lol
Make sure you check out our recent review of the 2021 fat bob! ruclips.net/video/xCsMYCWwkrw/видео.html

The reviewer looks like Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke.
Syazwan Ruslaine It could be me!
"Deathstroke" is a great road name.
I've really started to like the Arkham Knight and Arkham Origins movies and video games, and the possibilities of what you can do with a 3D printer
I think you both do a great job of your videos honest opinions is which I like I think it’s great keep going .
Paul Allen Real nice of you to say! Thanks for your support 👊🏼
Sadly I can't afford this thing. Maybe in the future.
It’s good to have something to aim for 💯
Keep working hard God willing one day you buy one Good Luck😊!!!
Sorry guys, just realised the pipes were actually V&H Big Shots staggered not long shots!
MrDarcy & the Ol'Man exactly what i was gonna say!! Great review my man🔥🔥🔥
Hi you 2 👍👍 Great video showing this beast.
Those lanes look familier, are they around bosworth??
Andy aka Rudolf Hessiansack Hi! No they were near Eyebrook reservoir in Rutland 👊🏼
Yeah I liked those pipes too. V&h makes a competition series 2in one that sound bad ass. But they make so many good pipes it's hard to choose.
Benjamin Steele yes very true
Great video guys! One of the best fat bob reviews I've seen ride safe, cheers!
Tony Thanks for your support Tony! We loved this bike!
MrDarcy & the Ol'Man sure guys, you do the best and most honest reviews! And I've seen plenty of reviews, by far yours the best. Can't wait for new videos.cheers!!
New drinking game, every time he says “heritage classic” you take a shot
Lol yes give it a try 🍺
Whats the thing about the UK plates, thank god we have sensible plates in OZ..love your video's boys keep em coming..
lindsay f We have laws written by bureaucrats who have no experience of life
I like your reviews. Very honest, I like how since you both sound.
I also have a Softail Heritage Classic and I agree with you that the handling is a dream.
2 questions: is MrDarcy too young to ride these bikes?

You guys rock!
Thanks bro!! Yes unfortunately Darcy is not quite old enough for his license due to the ridiculous license system we have in the uk! And I found this to be much more comfortable than the low rider s personally. Thanks for the support!
Love the way how you always do justice to bike reviews with some loud pipes. Greetings from India mate!
Tamiie Arnie Thanks Tamilie! Yes we love loud pipes 👊🏼
What an easy to watch review, thanks guys.

Stephen Fleming I’d definitely recommend a testride. The Street Bob is one of my favourite bikes and so customisable.
The only thing that ruins the 114 Fat Bob is the absolutely putrid UK registration plate!🤮🤢
Yes it’s utterly ridiculous!
My dream bike. It's a beast
Excellent video! Nobody likes seeing the usual demo day review on bikes with stock exhaust
Kevin Entwistle Thanks man! We appreciate your your support and agree 👊🏼
Highly underrated channel, in-depth honest reviews to a T. Hope you guys get the credit you deserve soon
Thanks Chris! Much appreciated. Fingers crossed! 👍🏼
Who gets to wash that after the ride? Yikes. I’m loving my 19 FAT BOB
Drew Yager Luckily not us!
Harley - Davidson Number 1.🌎🏍🇺🇸🦅

Sounds awesome 😎
Jo Jo it sure does, will make a short video just for the sound of those long shots!
Man looks like something out of mad max or the walking dead so beautiful with that exhaust really wanting to get this bike
Brandon Anger I thought you meant me for a second! lol. Yes it’s a badass bike! 👊🏼
Hmmm. OK Harley. With these pipes, yes. Nice.
Harley has a pulse. Call the code team, this company can be saved.
They have some cracking bikes! Especially with pipes like this.
The young bloke is a great narrator and gives some really valuable advice. Great video. Those goggles kill me; I love your individuality 👌👌
Yes good choice. We think you're right that the 107 is snappier. It's less laid back than the 114. Thanks for the compliment!
I've seen this bike. It's huge. And this guy makes it look small 👊🏼
💪🏻💪🏻

Street Bob 👍
Get a Heritage Classic. You get 2 bikes for the price of one, a subtle Deluxe and a touring bike
VVoltz Yes the Heritage has it all 👊🏼
Great vid, it's one of two bikes aside from the lowrider s I'm thinking of getting. Thanks from Milwaukee, WI.
Thanks Daniel! We loved this bike! Really awesome! Better than the Low Rider S!
Im also interested in the Lowrider S vs. this. I’m going to test them side-by-side when the ice thaws. Great vid. Lots to think about!
Tim H. I really preferred this to the Low Rider S! Especially with these pipes (Big Shots). Definitely worth testriding because we all have differences 👍
Judging by those roads maybe you should trade that "mowta bywke" in on a jeep wrangler lol
JAMMON JOHN Yes you’re right! 👊🏼
I like it, but I like more de Low Rider S and the V & H Eliminator 300 sound!!!
Eduardo Pinto OK that’s interesting! Perhaps the Eliminaor 300 are louder on full revs
Bike looks great but I think the low rider is a bit more nimble for me. I'm also 5'8" so thats a factor too
Mike Beans The Low Rider S having mid-mounted pegs is a bit more compact, but the Fat Bob handles better.

Wow,If I had to have a plate that looked like that I'd either move to another country or give up riding. F#$king ridiculous!!!!!!
Yes it’s so stupid!
and to add insult to injury it's school bus yellow yikes

It’s not quite like that! But if you’re going too fast people won’t see how cool you are 👍🏼
13:02 You look wild there, Ol' Man. Just watched the video again. You got way beyond the 5K you were aiming for when this video came out.
I'm also a happy owner of this bike.. Like everything of this bike.. Seat position... Engine.. Sound.. Look.. And the agility..

Great review of the Fat Bob 114. Finally decided to pull the pin and buy one new that had a two brothers exhaust & stage 1 tune and a saddle man seat, all done by the dealer.
Absolutely love it! I’m 5’8” and the bike is perfect for me.
Awesome! What a bike 👊🏼
Hey I stumbled across your channel trying to decide on Harley or Indian. I’m in the United States. You might have just sold me on this fat bob and you just earned my subscribe your video is well done
Thanks David. We are reviewing the Indians soon but the Fat Bob is great! 👍🏼👍🏼
I look forward to it!! What color was that fat bob I haven’t seen that color yet looks good.
@@daviddamora232 Red Denim if I remember correctly 👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan awesome thank you so much!
That has the 3.6 gallon fuel tank right? What mileage are you getting per tank?
C C it’s 2 UK gallons (3 USA gallons). Official figures are 45 mpg but we didn’t have the bike long enough to measure the fuel usage
Good review nice duo, really cool i suscribe
filderantoine Thank you! And welcome 👍🏼
Good review, I came on across your channel by accident but really enjoyed the review, I liked the two different age group views and the background music wasn't intrusive like you get on some reviews, plenty of engine sounds and riding shots. Thanks.
Thanks BoB! Please subscribe - we've got some awesome bikes lined up after the lockdown!
I’m going to buy this in America and ride my ass off
Knoxville drummer Slaidoc4 Yea do it! 👊🏼
I had the 09 fat bob ,brand new, black denim,16 inch apes, sissy bar, leather throw over saddle bags, and everything blacked out...loved it! Rode it almost 1000mi one way on a small trip, had no problems. I wish they stuck to the original look
Camarillo Brillo Yes it was a great looking bike for sure!
you make a nice couple....
Yes they do look good (not with the enormous UK plates)!
@@williamjames8924 yes we don’t like these new tail ends either
Finally more riding and less talking..!! thanks guys
Thanks buddy 👍🏼
Fat Boy vs Fat Bob, what do you think, in regards of ergonomics, handling and city driving? Thanks!
rullis20 Good question.
It’s great that you disagree nicely! Some people get personal!
We personally still think that exhausts of this design spoil the aesthetics
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Well I tried - integrity comes first after all :)
Andrew Hoffman Very interesting observations Andrew. 👊🏼 Please check out our other reviews and don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already. 👍
Although the seating Position Looks comfortable it is Not. I Highly recommend to Rent one for a day and Check if your back can handle the Stress.
Yes always a good idea 👍
Ive answered your question on the Low Rider S video. Have you ridden all three, if so what do you think?
Thanks for the review. Looking for something with a more relaxed feet forward riding position (knackered knees). It’s probably the nicest looking H-D at the moment IMHO.
Thanks buddy. Yes it’s a great looking bike! 💯
I love bike sir and my dream bike
Yes it is a lovely bike! I hope your dream comes true soon!
Gregory D. Brown Thanks Gregory! I’d say the Fat Bob is the best handling of the 3 you mentioned
Yes both great bikes but quite different. Price definitely has a bearing on the final decision.
Yea true. 👍🏼👍🏼
Seriously considering the HD Fat Bob. I appreciate the excellent review.
Thanks Bradley! It’s a great bike! What’s your shortlist?
@@MrDarcy-OlMan My shortlist is the HD Fat Bob and a Triumph Rocket GT, which I also enjoyed your review.
@@vladnoname1309 ok cool. 👍🏼
Like the bike but the price will keep me away
bfarm44 Yes Harleys are expensive, but they do hold their value well so it’s not throwing it away
Really nice bike. Three things I'd change are: drag bars for Z bars ; forwards for mids and a 5 gallon tank for that 3.5 which is too small.
Yes great idea 👍🏼👍🏼
Finally! A good review by someone my size. Curious, too, about your boots and coat. Both look good, and well-made.
Thanks buddy 👍🏼

Are these guys father and son.......? Great review. I’ve been leaning towards this bike and corona19@CurtainDeath. Might get the Hogg instead, thanks for the video.
Snozzy Bosch Yes Snozzy and thanks 👊🏼 Nice bike and highly recommended.
MrDarcy & the Ol'Man
Sorry somehow I must of missed the title
Of your blog. Hence the retarded question. Good you and your son are tight knit. 👍
Snozzy Bosch haha no worries!
Just got one. I like it quite a bit. I like how the headlamp is different than other Harleys good lean angles, and its pretty nimble for a big bike. I do get asked all the time what kind of bike it is. People think its a kawasaki, yamaha, or honda.
TeensierPython - Awesome! Fabulous bike! 👍🏼
Im so pleased with my -10 Fatbob
Me too
Looks like a bike should.
Wonder why there isn't a 900cc single cylinder bike made
Harley are missing a trick!
The pipes make all the difference for me. Love it
Yes 💯👍🏼
These exhaust pipes do make it stand and take note. H.D. is finally making a bike with muscle to handle the twisties. I love this thing. Rear fender is a bit high off the tire and they need to rid of that license plate holder bar thingy-looks like crap. With the fender that high, just put the license plate and rear light right under the fender lip. Great review but nasty weather you all have.
100% Craig! 💪🏻
Lol
Dude! How Big is this guy. Makes the ‘Bob look like an 883.
💪🏻💯
This thing has the coolest looking front out of all HDs in a long time. Fuck the haters.
Yes it’s super cool. Agreed about the haters!
