  • The Best Cemetery I ever Seen in the World - Cemetery monumentale - Most Priceless art, statues 4K
When i walked to this place I feel different energy coming from within, I don't know why I liked this place so much, but it was very peaceful to walk around the cemetery looking at all the amazing graves and monuments. It felt almost like an art gallery more than a cemetery. It is Must to visit when you are in Milan.

So clean and well maintained. Nothing falling apart or keeling over. Lots of flowers. They really take care of it. Thank you.

Precioso cementerio. Y no tan famoso como los de París y es mucho más espectacular con esos grupos escultóricos.

I must visit here, the next chance I get to return to Italy. Spent four days on four seperate visits to Stagliano in Genoa whilst stone carving in nearby Carrara.

Such a shame they don’t bother to keep these works clean . Scrub brush and a bucket of water would work miracles.

The water, the chemicals might stain the stone/ bronze etc... the abrasion of a brush or cloth or high pressure liquid or abrasive powder spray might damage the stone/bronze etc. Best to just blow off the dust with gentle blower of dry air on it( as it appears stained but no major dust accumulation). The sculptures are vanities of affluent people who could afford expensive stone or marble/ bronze. The atmosphere, air pollution, humidity, acidity, algae, mold, bacteria, dust etc all take toll on natural stone/bronze. Sadly chemicals water and abrasion would most likely damage them further. Better to just, " let it be"

I have asked this question many times…..why are all of the statues of women mourning? The angles too? I’m assuming they are hanging over the Cripts of their husbands? Why do we never see statues of men draped over the Cripts of women?

Because men often die before their wives, maybe.

Back then " men did not cry " they just probably and mostly married a younger woman.
