There is a rise in gestational diabetes among the South Asian populations. Generally, in pregnancy, the insulin sensitivity decreases so resistance increases to several folds and if the mother’s pancreas is not capable to handle such an increase in insulin resistance then chances of hyperglycemia are obvious. This hyperglycaemic condition has several deleterious effects on the baby. Therefore, it is suggested to consult a qualified diabetologist to keep sugar under control and also to have proper guidance on insulin dosages, timings, etc.

I had had a very mild type 2 diabetes with about 160 at the max but during pregnancy it is worsening day by day. I don't understand this.
These days I get a reading of 140-150 even after having only 30 gms of Oats.
My fasting sugar that was never high before pregnancy is very high these days
Dont eat oats. Lower carbs to 90g a day choose wholefoods nothing made with flour and no sugar only a little fruit.
Eat boiled egg with nuts or cheese before bed and I also eat through the night cheese and nuts and water when I get up to pee
