I have seen several videos on the new Kirkland driver vs current top brand drivers. The numbers were so close you may get 2-3 yards more with a top brand. The Kirkland driver runs $199.00 vs $600.000 for a brand name. Unless you are a super low handicap golfer or just HAVE to play a brand name save your money and use it for playing more golf.
I bought two G430 Maxs last year (long story), so I’ll probably sit this year out. There’s going to have to be a real difference maker on the market for me to buy a new driver this year. However, I do find the smoke to be a good looking driver (I’m 50).
I found no difference at all with the paradym to my rogue st and I prefer mine with the mat finish. The price of golf equipment has become completely ridiculous over the last 5 years and a new £500 plus driver every year is a joke . There’s not much gains from a Callaway Epic to this new driver for almost every club golfer
I agree re price. Don’t think you’re going to see £500 worth of gains from a yearly cycle so it’s sometimes hard to justify. Still a great driver though

Yes and believe if the economy doesnt really collapse we will soon be seein' them pushing $700,800 (head only) and then come out with new "ai" tech and push it to $1000 I am pretty sure we are heading, people are still buying stuff at that prices it seems and with YT you can do magic marketing...but also second habd market will be interesting then
Thank you for being the ONLY youtube reviewer of the Ai Smoke driver to mention that its basically a copy of the H.O.T. face from Cobra. Thanks Cobra for bringing this innovation to market first. But Callaway being the 800 lb gorilla is doing a better job of marketing it with AI buzzwords. Peeps, go buy a discounted Cobra LTDx and save yourself 3 or 4 stacks of bills!
I’ve never heard someone say they don’t like seeing the face, only the opposite… I’m sure they made it lighter in color so the face would be more visible
The smokey looks pretty sweet as ping looks pretty sweet as put it would be sweet as if ping did something similar as looking to the smokey that would be cool as
Who does driver testing with hope of any kind of accuracy outside in gale force winds? That makes as much sense as holding an Indy 500 race on a track that is flooded with ice. As far as club appearance goes manufactures would have to come out with 15 different models with different fonts and colours and faces and styles to suit everybody. You watch one channel and everybody loves the driver than the next channel they find some little thing to pick apart I think golfers are the hardest people in the world to please. Everybody is so different and that’s fine but some of the criticism is ridiculous. The AI smoke lettering on the top of the clubhead gives it a little bit of class, but drivers have maxed out for distance and now they’re just working on extra forgiveness. And the price they are charging is ripping everybody off. Heck, you can probably get equal distance with the new Kirkland signature driver for a small fraction of the price.
Well that was useless. If you are getting 3800 off that ping driver - it is just wildly misfit. The smoke misfit also. But i guess it seems to be quite odd why you would think this is useful? What is next - comparing a ladies driver vs a juniors driver ? Same thing it would seem.
How can you look down at the club and compare how it sits when clearly the setup in the ping is not standard in any way. You clearly see the neutral mark on the hosel 2:23 into the video. This must be done on purpose, or you have truly not done your homework. This can also be the reason for spin numbers in the other comments. Sincerely //T

Just played first round with my Max 10k. Horrendous. At least 20 short of my TSi2. Weak fades. May have to return it sadly.

1:22 yeah it does split opinions...no smoke needed there only nice clean sleak design... the best (imo) designs are Ping woods by far..

Uhm ball speed was 1.5mph higher with the Smoke. Ping has never been known as BALL SPEED Monsters.
Have you tried ping g430 LST or even the max. Ping have plenty enough ball speed but they add spin for the average golfer.
