    Does the head design dictate loft setting range? E.g if my g430 says 12 on it, there is no way it can go down to 10 , even if shaft is changed?

    • @CoolClubs
      @CoolClubs  20 дней назад

      You can use the adjustable sleeve to reduce the loft by 1.5*. Unscrew the shaft using your tool, reinsert the shaft in the large minus position... this is as close to 10* as you can get.

    Interestingly, I got fitted at cool clubs in March and got a Ping 430 10K with the new ventus velocore+ shaft. Also interesting, is that it was not until I started playing driver at D6 that I could hit driver (this part I had to tell the fitter). So far, this driver combo is the best I have ever had by a large margin. It took me some time to trust that the driver was mostly neutral, so I could aim at the middle of the fairway, but since adjusting to that line, it’s been great!

      D6 is heavy. Are you a bodybuilder?

      @@JeremiahAlphonsus not a bodybuilder or powerlifter, pure preference. It doesn’t feel heavy to me, just normal.

      @@JeremiahAlphonsus note that the overall build is on the light side because my driver has a 50g shaft and light grip. It’s just that in relative terms is a bit more head heavy.

      It's crazy, I found out the same thing! My 10k came alive after swapping for a longer CB shaft and I now game it at D6! I was originally fit for the RDX Red 6.5 and it was ok for me, swapped to a Ventus Black 6S mid season and got better launch and more forgiveness from the stiffer tip, still miss was a huge block usually! Also had to go a bit short in the Ventus to get the SW to be reasonable so lost some speed.
      But then decided to try my old OG Hzrdus Yellow Handcrafter 6.0 and boooom, just stright bombs and center of the face all the time, amazing trajectory very repeatable! Very easy to swing easy and it just goes 🙌🏻

    Do they have a heavier back weight fot sale? If the movable weight is 28-30grams, I think a 50+gram centered weight that takes all the space would fit? Or would that do "damage"?

    • @CoolClubs
      @CoolClubs  2 месяца назад

      I am not sure PING offer the weights for public sale but we use the offical products during our build process and can adjust your club for you. They do not offer a 50g weight, it would make the club far too heavy, soft and ruin the design of the club. There are other options than what is currently installed though.

    • @CoolClubs
      @CoolClubs  Месяц назад

      That path is left through the ball, 5 to 6 degrees is normal for a path to create some shape.

    If you adjust the head weight of the 10K do you have to worry about making it illegal?

    • @CoolClubs
      @CoolClubs  4 месяца назад +1

      Depending on where you adjust the weight. It is definitely something to be aware of.

    • @lkae4

      There are two ports, one in the back, one at the adapter. If you add weight front/middle, that should decrease or keep MOI the same. I think Ping also designed it with a bit of MOI margin at 5900 g-cm2 heel to toe. The max USGA limit is 5900 +100 g-cm2.

    I was fitted and wound up w G430 max. Would that mean their fairways also suit me?

    • @CoolClubs
      @CoolClubs  3 месяца назад +1

      Awesome, we are glad you got your products fitted, hopefully you are seeing the benefits on the course. It would be a normal assumption to just get matching fairway woods to your driver, but we opten find that as angle of attack drastically changes from driver to fairway woods there can be changes in both head and shaft reccomendations between the two. We reccomend getting a brand neutral fitting for the fairways and look at what gives you good numbers, but more importantly consistency. We find many players struggle to find fairway woods that work well more often than not. Hitting one out of 10 with perfect numbers is not as beneficial as 7 out of ten with good numbers.

      @@CoolClubs great advice. Thank you, and sounds wise. I have a negative angle of attack on my driver which I'm trying to correct (yet I was fitted w/ a 9 degree..hmm...)

      We disagree. Playing golf with clubs that are too long, short, flat, upright, heavy or light (and many more attributes) will seriously inhibit your ability to make your best swing.
