Lived through that, was insane how fast the government transitioned to producing alot of the food they import locally, within a few months we went from Saudi imported food to Iran/Turkey and then local. I even visited the local milk production plant (Baladna) in 2018 and it was pretty big with a zoo and an amusement park lol.

A bit rich for Saudi Arabia and UAE to complain about another country interfering in its' neighbours while they continue to occupy Yemen, well mostly the less populated parts and both supported insurgents in Iraq and Syria.

I lived in Qatar for the first half of the blockade. At first, the blockade was pretty crazy. The most obvious difference was that there were now dozens of massive pictures of the Emir on every building in Doha. I heard stories of people who couldn't afford to visit their families funerals in neighboring countries since the flights were now so much more expensive. One of my dads colleagues wasn't able to visit her dying mother who lived in the UAE. At the beginning, Qatar started importing things like milk from Turkey, and for some reason their milk tasted gross, but then Qatar important thousands of cows and got their own milk. After a few months, the blockade had virtually no effect on life within Qatar (for me at least). Overall I would say it was a huge W for Qatar, who learned to be extremely self-sufficient, and despite being such a tiny country, it managed to hold its own against Saudi Arabia.

After almost four years, Saudi Arabia announced on Monday the end of its blockade of neighbouring Qatar, restoring a degree of normalcy to the relationship between the two members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
On Tuesday evening, the Saudi Foreign Ministry announced that Egypt, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates had also resumed ties with Doha, during the 41st GCC summit, with mediator Kuwait hailing the step as a breakthrough.
The move marks a major change in what had been a tense period in the Gulf. Middle East Eye takes a look at the history of the Gulf blockade.

You missed a crucial part, when everything blew wide open. When they saw Qatar not reaponding to any of their demands, the UAE stated that the blockade will be lifted under 1 condition only, to cancel the 2022 world cup. THIS is the real reason of the blockade, they know Qatar is not a terrorist country. You can say that the UAE is the face of the GCC currently. But after 2022 world cup, they wont be.the UAE initiated the blockade and others followed. Just like the UAE initiated the war in yemen and saudi followed.
