Saw TÁR tonight. Top 5 movie for me. Cate as an actress. The story and music, but to me to most exciting was the cinematography. Amazing and well done!
Having seen her performance in TAR, I can't imagine someone winning over Ms. Blanchett. She operates on level of Daniel day lewis in 'There will be blood'. Masterful performance, it goes beyond whether or not she'll win an Oscar. This performance will be remembered in cinema history for being one of the greats, if not the great.
You can't help but adore Cate if you are open minded and can appreciate her performances in so many films. But then you watch her interviews over the years and discover she has an extraordinary honest and open sense of humor about herself. Is it any wonder that so many of us adore her as a person ? When Cate performed as Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator I was thinking to myself this is an actress who in time may prove to be worthy of both the role and the reputation which followed that Kate and she has and does. This woman is a legend during our lifetimes, it is an honor to be able to enjoy her craft and her humanity.
On the terms of acting I couldn't agree more. But the person isn't like what she let us think she is. She is very fake and dishonest. Everything thing she says, she does the opposite....bigot
Definitely an actress that deserves more attention in Hollywood. She's more talented than some of the roles she's had in the past. I really think she can give a merl Streep a run for her money
In addition to Cate's performance (that is absolutely brilliant) I totally loved Field's direction and photography: so cold as Tàr character is expecially when she is inside apartments. I really loved this movie. It's not just based on how good Cate Blanchett was: it's a total package movie from screenplay to technical point of view.
And we thank you for this gift of my favorite actress. Cate is never less than phenomenal and I'm STILL trying to find the words to explain to everyone how amazing she is in "Tar."

Cate Blanchett can be a university lecturer; the smart combination of language diction and eloquence, her intellectualism and that superb wittiness describes her as a perfect professor who works in a prestigious university.💐
I’ve always loved Cate, and I love her even more now knowing that she speaks German! I live in Germany and am married to a German, so I can confirm that her German is very good! 🥰

She's such a fantastically lovely individual. After watching The Fellowship of the Ring as a kid I had a dream where I acted in a movie as her son and she was oddly enough just like she is in all these interviews years and years later.
Conducting a big orchestra h always been a dream. This must feel so powerful. I have been only on the orchestra side and know what conductors look like when the orchestra really follows their idea of the music. Bliss is in their eyes.
There were some very compelling conversations in this movie about the art vs the artist. I especially loved that opening scene in the classroom. I love that she has such a wicked sense of humor lol
