So I have an older IR T30 253 pump and it doesn’t have a port from the check valve, instead there is a port from the 2nd stage output that feeds into the center faceplate of the pump. The pressure switch has one air line connection directly into the tank. Should I reconfigure my pump airlines for better start-up? You mentioned that IR used to do it one way for a short while and then changed it, wondering if I have that configuration. Thanks!
The short answer is do not change anything till you have a starting problem. the set up you currently have works the same as the check valve and pressure switch. when to switch it is when the unloader in the "faceplate" stops unloading. thus hard starting. there are several scenarios to this . so feel free to contact me through thecompressorguru.com Bud
WELL SIR KIND OF A GOOD JOB BUT☝️ TOOO MUCH FLAPPIN AND NIT UNTILL NEAR THE END OF THIS VIDEO DID WE FIGURE OUT JUST WHERE AND WHAT THE CHK VALVE ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE THANK YOU FOR THIS INFO IT WAS MOST HELPFUL I HAVE A T3O THAT'S OR WAS LEFT TO SIT UNUSED FOR A LONG TIME WORKED GOOD FIR A WHILE THEN AFTER SHUTTING DWN LIKE TURN OFF THE POWER IT LOOSES AIR TO AROUND 30PSI PAIN IN DA HINNEY THANX AGAIN
Hello question my air compressor, will start and while building up pressure and it reaches 40 to 50 psi the electric motor start kinda slowing down and speeding up then it slows down and then trips the breaker, any help in the right direction will be highly appreciated
I doubt that the motor is actually changing speeds. I am guessing what you are hearing is the pump after the belt is slipping some and catching back up. normally I would tell you tighten the belt and see how it runs . but since you are kicking the breaker I think you probably have some sort of issue with the pump . I could use more info on what machine this is, specifically is it a 2 stage pump?. you can reply here or contact me through thecompressorguru.com I am about to walk out of the office for the day. I am on the road for much of the next 2 days. Bud

Thanks for sharing 👍
I just picked up an older speedair unit and I think this may be the reason why they sold it to me for so cheap. I'll be picking up a new check valve
check out the check valve page on thecompressorguru.com and contact me and we can get 1 coming your way.
