Got a handful of things to mention here. I went Water early on because Stealth is hilariously overpowered. The pebble can be thrown as a distraction to turn enemies away from you for free Fatal Strikes, and aiming the pebble will also force your character to walk slow enough to not make noise. Also, you don't need a lock-on to do a Fatal Strike, at least from above. The sprint/double-jump can get you out over some enemies you might not expect to reach, for some massive damage to start a fight. Important note, though, is that some enemies that are more "ambush" related in a level will instead immediately aggro to you if they're "distracted" with a pebble. If you're running Water (or even just slapping Stealth on all your gear for free Stealth stats) then keep sneaky assassinating in mind if you're having issues with a level. Also, once you level a summon companion to level 10 (Had the demo guy almost maxed before release, lol) then you get their armor set (with a set bonus on it) along with their weapon. Well worth just burning through some farming with a summon companion if you really enjoy the weapon type they're using, because they always have a unique Martial Art on them. (Sun Jian's sword has an amazing charge attack that destroys stuff.) And lastly, don't underestimate the elemental weapon buff spells, you can use them to buff your weapon and counter a spell from an enemy at the same time. For instance, buffing with Ice Weapon in the boss fight with the expanding rings of fire you can buff your weapon and cancel part of a flame pulse near you if you time it right. I've been running 3 elemental weapon buffs and the health on hit one, and it's really absurd how overpowered debuffing enemies with those can be, often giving you a full stun or stagger if the enemy is particularly weak to that element.
I’ll give you a tip; Clear the first main mission after unlocking the hidden village. This will then unlock a sub mission on the same map. The mission is irrelevant! What is relevant is right at the beginning there are two rocks, literally right beside where you spawn in. Jump up them and across and pick up the item. The item is a consumable that regenerates health over time (like 5 seconds or something). From loading to reloading takes in total around 40 seconds. Farm this for a little while and you’ll have access to hundreds of extra healing items you can use in missions. I think they are best used in between encounters instead of using dragon flasks. You can carry ten at once so you effectively can heal yourself up 10 extra times in missions for little to no effort!
@@chrisware95 it’s been a minute since I played, but from the spawn of that level basically just walk along the perimeter of the starting area, you’ll find it after jumping on top of a rock. You won’t need to leave the starting area/fight anyone.
Also, level up your summon companions. The more you use them, the better they get. At first they are not only completely useless, but I found they actually make things harder, but still with them, summon them a lot and level them up
The morale system is a clever way to block people from speedrunning to finish of the level without killing nobody. You can do this, but the boss will be much harder
Im still fairly early on but one thing I realized is dont be afraid to respawn enemies to farm up a few moral levels and it may seem obvious but the multiplayer makes most encounters a breeze, just jump the enemy you want dead and nothing will survive for long (other than bosses of course)
Just a little one, i was having trouble with the games parry system, then i equipped light gear and it got significantly easier, i think the armour type affects your parry window, the trade off being the reduction in defence, so pick your poison.
Your Armour weight does affect your Parry rating as well as the spirit required to deflect, Blue (light) Green (Medium) Yellow (heavy) Red (Encumbered) Your weapons also affect the parry rating as well. It is indicated by a percentage value called 'parry %'
The moral levels are great, but it's also great that you can easily kill an enemy 10 moral levels above you as long as you parry it properly. So even if I see an enemy with a higher level than me I know I can beat it if I approach the fight the right way.
Two tidbits of info you can salvage a large amount of equipment and still get the same amount of jewel fragments as if you individually removed the embedment of the weapon the second infor tidbit you can push your carry wait up 99.99% and still be allowed to deflect attacks as long it’s not 100% your fine
Water is best, ALSO salvage any armor or weapon (if you're not going to use it) that has a *special* skill (denoted by a five ways flower symbol), dont extract because you dont gain the skill from the extraction process.
Just hold block and then when you’re ready to parry, press the parry button. For sure, it would have made more sense to just copy Sekiro and have block and parry be the same button. They tried to do something different and it didn’t quite pay off
