How the tempos of your tracks and the footage match up so well along with your efforts of matching Angus' left hand position for the licks you're playing is genius.
This is not a parody. It it a tribute and omage. This song epitomizes the ups and downs, highs and lows that struggling, emerging musicians face when they put themselves up against the turbulent and hazardous waters that are the hard facts and cold shoulders in the industry. They will be challenged to their limits, may be taken advantage of by greedy low lifes, and put to the test at every visible and unforeseen obstacle that gets thrown in their way. They may achieve reaching "the glitter", or be beaten down by the pressures and take that Greyhound bus to home. "On Broadway" tells the story with a few simple yet succinct verses. @@theScienceLabLive Uh, no it isn't, man. You did read the second sentence, didn't you?
@@davidhorton1109 Listen, Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil are without a doubt one of the greatest songwriting duos in the history of the world. But you ask 100 people who wrote it, 95 will say George Benson, 4 will say someone in the 70s but I don't remember and 1 will answer Mann/Weil and that's of 100 people that actually know the song. Of course I read the second sentence. Neither one of us would even be here if the title was "AC/DC plays Mann/Weil's 'On Broadway'"
Awesome - what a great tribute to George Benson!
He may just be the world's finest living guitarist!
Ah, no.and no.
It’s fake Angus is a beast- Jeff Beck is the best in the world- this vid is fake bro
This is soooo COOL !!!! They were all the way up in this Benson Classic. Respect !!!😍♥️💃
So cool, they play a lot of this stuff live. Last time they played "Dancing Queen" by Abba.
Jazz isn't dead, it just smells funny - Frank Zappa
I’m not the biggest AC/DC fan, but this was sick! He’s got that crowd in the palm of his hand.
This is fake! This video was ripped from the Stiff Upper Lip live DVD, AC/DC is playing Let There Be Rock here, and you've pasted George Benson's On Broadway here as if AC/DC were playing this. So "extremely rare footage"? No, just fake! Extremely bad and a copyright infringement.
@@vlr2245the RUclipsr plays all this himself and overdubs it-that’s definitely fair use
I love this guy. He doesn’t have to use any fancy whammy bar, tricks or treats. Just straight on kick ass guitar playing.
This is brilliant and extremely well done. I'm not sure what led you to know "On Broadway" would work so perfectly for a parody, but great choice. How the tempos of your tracks and the footage match up so well along with your efforts of matching Angus' left hand position for the licks you're playing is genius.
Yeah those fretboard finger rolls near the end were spot on. Had me fooled until I got into the comments.
Cementing together the elements that give it greatness are a heavy NYC vibe by way of tension without release, the strength of the composition and arrangement, the killer hook.
Do you know who actually played the guitar solo?
@@catintheb the guy who posted the video did

I reckon if they had actually played this exactly like this for real, at the right spot in the show, their crowd would've been fully into it. 🤘😎
So this is faked? Are you sure? I’m watching his hands and it doesn’t look fake. I hear the notes and watch his fingers. They sure seem to fit.

It's an excellent editing job.
But I'm 100% sure Angus isn't playing it.
Right even though Angus can and most likely is playing this; the sound and video are not the same.
@@josephcebula2983 No its totally fake
@@droptuned83 It might very well be, but the video might also be out of sync. It sounds kinda off, especially the fast descending legato runs. But still, he is obviously out of his mind on coke, so he just might have pulled it off
awsome and very well done!!!! would love to see the video where you where sitting in a studio and recording it.
The guy playing is great, and the fact he played his riff to the video makes him even better!
Thought how have I missed acdc playing this......then realised it was dubbed , , totally had me at first, well done 🤘👍
Best performance I've come across on youtube all year! Not a fan of this band, but maybe now I'll pay more attention to them.
They are musicians they will love all kinds of music ..love it
George Benson on Broadway is a Badd A$$ song and to hear AC/DC play this gives m a whole new respect for them !!! These guys are truly Musicians !!!

@@vlr2245 lighten up! IT IS FUNNY!
That's some killer playing. Hats off to whoever played this. Really great stuff!
Thanks ! 🙏🤘🎸
Well whoever is really playing is pretty damn good.
This was a great show. The footage doesn’t show it but this song was preceded by their take on “it started with a kiss” and “if I could turn back time.” It rocked!
😂
Do you belieeeeeve...?!?
I think they also did a version of ...I got u babe...and daydream believer...but that might have been Iron Maiden...I'll have to look it up
Wait, so this wasn't the same show where they did "I Need A Hero" by Bonnie Tyler?
Saw George Benson do this outdoors at Blossom Music center in Ohio in 1977. Minnie Ripperton opened. So great to hear this and it made me smile
AC/DC are the only band I have ever seen that can be on stage and play, sing, and give a show that you swear was like listening to a studio recording. They should be top 5 on anyone's list to see.
This is just too good. His phrasing, technique, and stamina are incredible!
🤣
I love this, i wish the boys would play this live that would great
ahhh they just did lol
Come on it’s a fake.
@@ERROL007 its not fake you fool
@@dirkdiggler6230 LOL you clearly haven't watched the video :-) They never played the song :-) Next you will be saying they played a Take That tune straight after :-)
I'm a massive GB fan, and Angus has done awesome! I love this :-) 😊 He makes it his own, but stays true to the spirit of the original. Amazing Talent!
Music is music, musicians are musicians, and a great song is a great song.
Incredible ! Love AC-DC and this version of "Broadway"

That stage is crazy, absolutely right on , wish I was there
I feel so dumb for not getting this was dubbed. I was like how could I have possibly missed this in all of my years of acdc obsession...I looked for other versions and all that...well, well done sir. Fun nonetheless and I would love to see a transcription or video of you doing this. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS REGARDLESS OF ITS ORIGIN. THANK YOU.
I swear that I thought it was real too...
I was smiling all the way to the end thinking what a great rendition; a heavy metal homage to George Benson! It wasn't until I read your comment that my smile became laughter. I still can't figure out how it was done so well.
Completely relatable. He’s so freaky good at mimicking Angus’ attack it had me for minute as I’d not seen his channel before. Then the brilliance set in once realized. I’d love to see Angus’ reaction to watching, I bet he’d appreciate it too! Master level talent at work here.
Now there's a man that just loves to play his guitar. One of the best.
Holy Shikkies!! I can’t believe my ears!! This is AAMMAAZZIINNGG! My sister turned me on to George in 1978, one of my best friends got me into
AC/DC in 1980! This is THE most unexpected mashups of all time!! Angus killed it Damn that was beautiful!
Love AC/DC and George Benson- so fun to see this!
So do I, but this is not George's song; George covered The Drifters, who hit with it first.
