I have been in Shanghai underground mor than 10 years ago. Even though it is narrow, but it is clean, well maintained, safe. Best of all, foods are good and the prices are very affordable!
Chengdu is just a middle-sized city in China, it's incredibly unbelievable to learn that it can sustain a RUclipsr's channel.
Chengdu is not a medium-sized city. With a population of 16.3 million, Chengdu is one of the seven megacities in China and the central city in western China.
@@jzeng2022 yes, but from my point of view, "megacities " is a word to describe BeIjing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen. Those four cities are famous as China's first tier cities. Obviously, Chengdu is not among them.

But actually Chengdu is one of the largest city in China, though it still cannot compare with Beijing and Shanghai

Did you ever visit south Bronx, northern Birmingham, the Chicago slums and some areas in Philadelphia or Los Angeles, just to name a few? Not only they do not shine and you may lose your life in the blink of an eye?

I live in Los Angeles for very long time and watch the growth of tent city. We do have the largest homeless population in the nation, but they tend to concentrate in areas with easier access to drugs, food and income, so majority of the city are safe and beautiful. San Feansico on the other hand is turning into zombie land in recent years. I used to love that city, but fear to go now.
@@ALWH1314 Thanks for your response AL ! California has been infested with homeless people from San Diego all the way up to the Bay area. Nice weather plus liberals' kindness have made living easier for them. Actually, in Oakland the homeless can wait and get free housing later on at the tax-payers' expense. So, to get free apartment in California, one can set up a tent under the bridge ! I am sorry to see cities are being destroyed this way. So the major force driving America to shipwreck does come from inside ! Good day !

@@vegamoonlight I visited all these areas, some unintentionally. I was had a pork steak at a restaurant cross the street from Holiday Inn, city center, Birmingham and afterward drove north to hit the highway but I got into this terrible neighborhood. Houses had no doors or windows or roofs. It is like the roadside slums I saw In Mumbai, India when I drove to the airport. I was, man, truly scared and I started to get my S&W on my side. It was well after 10 pm and I thought this might be my last day. But i managed to find an exit to highway 78 ! Thanks to the Lord !

funny thing, i ve a friend come to Beijing first time, we have a walk after the dinner, realize him a little anxious and nervous i dont know why, when we came out of the bar after the mid night, he was like a duck in a thunderstorm, i asked him what hell of you were afraid for what. he said, he never ever been out walking so late in the city of US any of the cites. and he also wondering why I'm so calm in the night...i said to him, Jesus, this is the most peaceful and safety country, u can enjoy the safty time 7x24 hours, u just have to worry about whether you have the money and strength to live like this. in the end he never missing home again and decide hard to work for stay here for ever.

Many westerners will never understand many Asian countries can have two economies. One is the western style with office, trains, cars and expensive restaurants and night clubs. In south east Asia there is another economy for the less well off people who would spend their money in the evening off the office hours. The second economy supports a huge amount of population and is almost completely absent in the west. The nearest I could find that resembles the Asian second economy is the weekday or Sunday market in the west but that is part of a day so it is small. The Asia has two economies because the population supports them.
15 -18% homeless people in the US whom the politicians in Congress do not care. Three most important factors to see how poor people to live in a country: (1) Gini coefficient (2) GDP (3) % of homeless people.

All first tier cities have subways and second/third tier cities are developing their lines also. Common to all these Chinese subways are zones for shopping from food to clothing, almost anything retailed above ground can be found below. I know in Shenzhen, there are parallel tunnels running between stations that have retail outlets and children's amusement areas so some of the overload of humanity gets relief underground.
