Christ Sabbath which is embedded in the fact that he is the creator was not a sign of the old testament. Many christians though they do not want to admit are confused about what laws were done away with. For one, it was not the ten commandments which are the foundation of God's government in heaven and on earth. The new covenant which God writes on our hearts are the same law which he wrote on stone (Deuteronomy 4:13). The ten commandments, with the commandment to keep the 4th are the new covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-33; Hebrews 10:16-17; Hebrews 8:10). And Jesus has promised that he would (if we let him) come into our lives and live out that very law within us (Romans 8:2-4). So it is not us that is doing the works but Christ, who began that good work in us.
