To me honestly it’s not even close. Xcelerator is my #2 at Knott’s Berry Farm, Hangtime is fun but I don’t really think there is a single moment in the ride that wows me and the ride did feel too short. Xcelerator has of course the amazing launch and top hat, and even the overbanks are underrated to me they are really fun, and I’ve felt pretty satisfied with Xcelerator’s length since it throws all it can at you.
Very respectable. I think it might be because you’ve ridden more coasters than me. I have not experienced strong airtime like that one moment on Hangtime. But as I ride more coasters, Hangtime will move down in my rankings. It’s interesting how more intensity can make a short layout more satisfying!
Storm Runner, Speed Monster and Superman: The Escape have better layouts than Xcelerator. Storm Runner has three great inversions, and 2 good airtime moments (Top hat and Flying Snake Dive), Speed Monster is a fun looking out and back with 3 inversions and several airtime hills, Superman has a nice dark ride section and multiple ejector airtime moments. Please note that I have yet to ride an Intamin accelerator.
*I'm not gp* had to clarify :p. HANDS DOWN it goes to xcelerator. That ride is so much more intense than it should be lol you have to experience it yourself, that launch is SERIOUS. Way more forceful than any launch I've experienced by far, felt 10x more forceful than top thrill drag, I was SUPER underwhelmed by Hangtime. It felt extremely boring and forceless it only had one inversion that really made me WOAH!
Also its dumb to compare these two because silver bullet is easily the second best steel coaster in the park. It's probably the most flowing B&M invert to ever exist.
I went into Hangtime with low expectations because everyone said it was ok and nothing special. However I was extremely impressed with the drop. It is my favorite drop I’ve experienced (even though I haven’t ridden much). The little airtime moment over the entrance impressed me as well. It was so strong! However I LOVE Xcelerator’s launch as well. I think it comes down to: would you rather 1 insane element or 3 great elements? (I like the Negative-g stall loop as well). And I feel like I need to ride Silver Bullet again, I was a little underwhelmed with my last silver bullet ride.
In my opinion Xcelerator is my number 1 in the park and i haven't been able to ride Hangtime but Xcelerator has a very original theme about 1950s and 1960s hot rod racing which use trains themed to a Chevy bel arie convertible and i get Hangtime is about surfing and stuff but its a really lazy name and theme and hangtime just looks kinda boring and like something that could be cloned a bunch of times so I personally prefer Xcelerator when it comes to everything and I never really understood the weird surfing theme that goes with Hangtime
@@808CoasterLife well it’s named after a element kinda like how jet star 2 is an jet star 2 at lagoon but hang time is just kinda meh and has a slight rattle but I think an small rmc raptor would fit better in its plot

My opinion xcelerator is great because it’s the launch
I like hangetime better because it's overall more fun. Although accelerator has a better layout then all the other intamin accelerator.

Hangtime is supposed to feel kinda like surfing but I can definitely see why you think Xcelerator is better. Have you ridden Ghostrider?

I don’t like when that happens. Both rides are great, hopefully you could ride Xcelerator sooner rather than later.
