Michael has an audio book called Life and Laughing which is on RUclips. It gives a great insight into his life. Comedians don't just appear, they work hard to get where they are. It's a very funny book.
We have six children, and I now have 14 grandsons (no granddaughters yet). My late wife and I just decided to have two, and once they were sent off to prep at eight, we breathed a sigh of relief. We coped well having them during two-day exeats, or for holidays, but like mince pies, having them every week of the year was beyond our sanity level. So, when we decided to adopt later, the four boys we adopted were each, in turn, year one boys. All four of these live in the same country as me. Our two natural kids live in BC and Queensland. I guess there's a lesson there somewhere! 🙄🇰🇪🇨🇦🇦🇺
My son did the waking me up fully dressed at 3am, wanting to school, he was 3 at the time wasn't funny at the time but I'm glad I'm not the only one lol, he's 12 now always make me laugh watching this so relatable
Loved this reaction from you both. I recommend watching/listening to John Cooper Clarke. Unique and true comedic wordsmith! I am from the same area as him yet was introduced to him as an adult by a young student from Swtizerland! He is brilliant.

The other day I asked a woman with 8 children how she managed. She said “once you get over 3 kids it just get’s easier, 3 is the hardest”. Not sure how that works.

If child is in the "why?" stage the answer is 'why not' or 'because'. I was one of 4 and if one of us said 'why can't we .... ' my mum always said 'because I've got a bone in my leg' . Children are ace manipulators and you have to decide what behaviour you are prepared to accept and what to do if your children wont comply. Best advice I had was from a book called Toddler Taming by Dr Christopher Green.
He is real old school observational comedy which is kind of looked down on by some people these days but he does it so well that it is actually just impressive (and funny) anyway.
The Graham Norton show is a great suggestion in on itself for reaction videos. They can compare American Talk shows to Brit ones and see how much better the brits do it! And also Panel shows.

Talking about Michael Mcintyre and children. He was waiting outside his children's school in London around 2 years ago. He was sitting in a Range Rover, wearing a Rolex watch. A group of boys on mopeds stopped and smashed his window with hammers and took his Rolex.
One of my favorite comedians he did his recent your on Netflix and spoke about his kids their teenagers now, I was the you have no idea person when this first came out now I'm a Mum and I love it all the same, it's what makes him so relatable. There's him and Lee Evans they are both similar styles and amazing.
The next stage which is worse after the constant "Why?" stage is... the "I know that... and I know better!" stage... that needs teamwork to verbally beat your child down! Single parents should pay any random stranger to back them up!!! and we're only at child age 3 so far!
Another 'clean' comedian you might want to check out is Milton Jones. He does lots of one-liners - but he's got such a deadpan, off-kilter delivery that he's incredibly funny. He's one of those stand-ups that if you get his sense of humour, he can collapse you on the floor.
Lee Evans is also very funny and relatable although lots of people have had problems uploading his stuff without it being blocked for copyright, some people have managed to post with no problems though give him a try
What my mother did when me & my siblings were kids, if we were going out for the day, she would prepare what we wore etc the night before any drinks aswell, put them in the fridge ready, so next day was easier for her as there was a lot less to do the next day. So that's what I do with mine, definitely makes mine & my partner's life a lot easier. Short trips tho tend to be done by one or the other, so there always one of us with our boys. The sleepless nights tho, man definitely relate to that lol.
Michael McIntyre is a family comedian and I cannot remember hearing him swear much if at all over the past two decades.... Jimmy Carr on the other hand is the polar opposite and is a adult material comedian for after the 'watershed' 9pm in the UK
