I swear I saw a video from you connecting and iPhone to an openspot 4 pro while not at home but can’t find. Having issues connecting hotspot to it. Can connect WiFi to it from iPhone but shuts the hotspot off
Thar "From " button, How do you get it to say open spot? What do you choose? its certainly not one of the options and it still says OS3 on the video, probably because its a saved channel?
You can configure up to 5 WiFi Profiles in your OS4, if you’re on the road and your home WiFi is not in range the OS is checking the other configured profiles, e.g. your cellphone hotspot or any other configured WiFi, with no need for reconfiguration.
As soon as select hotspot wifi turns off still but thanks for reply.Excellent videos you have helped me a lot.I now know some phones allow this feature.
@@davidhowie6951 I have a samsung phone, mine was doing the same thing. With the wifi on i Then I held my finger on the Hotspot icon and it opened a settings window which had a auto Hotspot button. Once I clicked on that I had wifi and Hotspot going together. Hope this works for you.
My opinion is - this is THE MOST ANNOYING piece of ham radio equipment that i own ,1) sometimes it wont turn on 2).sometimes it wont turn on or re-set and it's a bitch to connect, but what other option do we have ?

Set your mobile phone hotspot same as your broadband user name and password .

It's Dstar that talks .Learn DR Mode for Dstar

You turn wifi off on the mobile phone then turn on mobile data , then turn on Mobile hotspot on the phone this sends out a different WiFi signal.
