This is shot at the Vasquez rock Formation, shooting location for many original Star Trek episodes, in Star Trek III, the new Star Trek film, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, and much more. It's about an hour outside LA. So this is like Pink Floyd meets Star Trek, two of my favorite things. Wolfmother is great live.
@ruinawish Well you got to take into account that Wolfmother is: 1 - Composed of younger musicians 2 - Born in an age where classic rock is not on the top parades anymore I'd say they do deserve some serious credit for their archievements, I think its quite more than a simple "throwback to the old days", even when they are not to be compared to Pink Floyd.
epic! i love this song, i love this band! they were one of the 3 reasons why i went to rock am ring, too bad they couldn't play. but i'll see them some day :)
@runelikehell That is their original drummer. And original bassist for that matter. Andrew Stockdale kept the name "Wolfmother" even though 2/3 of the band quit. Wolfmother is a completely different band from when they started.
this song sounds like it was inspired by Yes. Wolfmother has used stylings from Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Yes and so much more. there like Rock's childeren
They are keeping the Zep, Black Sabbath ethic alive in the 21st century. They have captured the sound of those bands. Wolfmother was chosen to honor Zeppelin by playing Communication Breakdown at an award ceremony. (Dont discount The White Stripes from this discussion.) This video recalls on purpose Pink Floyd Live in Pompeii, look up the videos on RUclips, you will see.
@tiagoinka The way I view it, Wolfmother are playing the music that Zep and Floyd created! The only credit they deserve is for having found a way of repackaging the music successfully for this generation. I have no doubt that in a few years time, there'll be a new 'Wolfmother' going on, with bluesy-rock riffs going on.
such a shame what happened to wolfmother. usually id say the lead vocalist or lead guitarist is the most talented member of the band, but with wolfmother it's clearly bassist/keyboardist chris ross
@ZeppelinFloydRoses Some would consider it offensive to have Wolfmother with those two legends of rock. Wolfmother is just a nice throwback to the good ol' days, but definitely not in the same league.
I got a beeble, smoked some fresh banana leaves and stone dizzy-bought a monkey for a mean girlfriend, sexy but said explicitly: "Don't Feed The Monkey Mangoes" Of course mangoes are served; the monkey has explosive diarrhea-takes out the entire lower floor. What is a guy to do?
@Pawnlamp likes vs. dislikes would be unreliable info, because chances are, you're not gonna come to a Wolfmother video if you don't have any interest in seeing it.
@StalkingRainbow Have you ever tried to play a David Gilmour solo? His playing is melodic and all get out, each note complementing the riff being played behind you, but the timing will kill you. Pink isn't over rated, they are a great band, and one of the best bands ever to come about. I'll admit, some of their stuff is pretty weak, but most of there stuff is just beautiful. They are up there with Zepplin, Hendrix, the Yardbirds, and Sabbath.
Обожнюю їх музику з дитинства, неймовірне звучання, поетизм, мелодійність, драйв.
This tune is killer. I love the work this guy has done. I'm sure lots more to come. I love how he sticks to his thing, no compromises.

Gotta love this track. Absolute transition when they jump out from the slow pace. So sick!!
great band, great album, great song, great video!!"!
Damn I love this band... We need more bands like Wolfmother other than all these shit rock bands of today who sound the exact same
Wolfmother are such an amazing band and their music is as different from modern stuff as you can get :)
love the keyboard in this song, seen them live in 07 they were amazing
This was the first Wolfmother video I ever saw. Beautiful rock ballad, lovely guitar playing and Andrew's vocals rock. :)
@Trunkfish ....Right, the wrap around camera angle brought me right back into my Pompeii trip
Indeed, A wonderful album (and you were a crow).
With Wolfmother and The Answer, they're sustaining what music is about.
Video was definitely influenced by Pink Floyd's live at Pompeii. Wolfmother rocks!
i love the whole entire song, but what truely captivates me is the beginning ...
How the fuck is this video not more popular?
The afro-guy has such an amazing voice! It's so unique... ROCK ON WOLFMOTHER!
@ruinawish

I like that someone still does the windmill when they play!!
That afro is ridiculous... Ridiculously awesome!

@TheSouthrunner Yes! You totally right, there are a lot of similar things, like the frames where they're walking in the desert ect...

like the video it looks like it was recorded at 70's
if they were not wolfmother they could be the worlds greatest led zeppelin tribute band in my opinion
I still, to this day, wonder why they broke up. I mean, this album ranks among the best of the decade.
best band of today, ,,, enough said
Wolfmother are even better now with a full Brisbane lads line up...ROCK ON BRIS VEGAS!
Wolfmother is da bomb
this song is so underrated! this is an amazing song! ufc primetime!
You are correct!

Temazo enorme.
@alkalinetrio751 It's supposed to be an homage to "Live at Pompei" from Pink Floyd from the early 70's.
@3:34 - Guy just chillin' on the sofa in the middle of the desert listening to Wolfmother. I want his job.
Reminds me of Live at Pompeji!
Whos the old man on the sofa in the back? Is that Jim Morrisson from the Doors? xD
@thenewbydude2009 I bought this album right when it came out, and it was my first album lol.
@Regiald It sounds great man
@ZeppelinFloydRoses Some would consider it offensive to have Wolfmother with those two legends of rock. Wolfmother is just a nice throwback to the good ol' days, but definitely not in the same league.
cool!!!
Do these guys have heavier songs or are most like this?
This as played in an episode of UFC Primetime St. Pierre Vs Hardy.
@JakobsMovieTutorials thought exactly the same thing XD and the clip makes me think about Pink FLoyd's live at pompei
This song has some elements similar to some of the great rock bands like Floyd and Zeppelin. Great song, great band.
the best band of 21th century!
i love this fuckin song!!!!!
Very Pompeji inspired, yes
@Misteroilmen I was sayin it was like pink floyd live at pompeii
fuckin amazing song i agree its like falling in love with rock all over again
@Pawnlamp likes vs. dislikes would be unreliable info, because chances are, you're not gonna come to a Wolfmother video if you don't have any interest in seeing it.
Series 3 Land Rover !
The diference between love and obsession
@19matmoc I was talking about Pink Floyd not Woflmother.
