R.I.P to the Volvo emblem on the steering wheel being gone. Mine fell off and had to replace it a bit ago. Common (very minor) "problem" on these cars.
much larger problem with mine is faulty piston rings.. Burns a good amount of oil, can really smell it when you get high up in the revvs... abt a quart every 600 miles. Also my shifter is all cracked(just the top plastic bit) (bought it used, came like that).. Noticed a few others with the same issue online.
I have one of these, right at the end of the shift was the CBV valve dumping the pressure back into the intake. Throw an intake on this and you get crazy turbo sound
I have a 2018 V60 (the wagon) as my first-ever car. I'm still learning to drive it. It does burn oil, but other than that and the rear brakes needing to be replaced at 56k miles it hasn't had any problems. Currently about to cross 60k miles.
@@DMCarReviews 13-15 If I recall correctly have an issue with burning too much oil due to faulty rings but Volvo apparently swears up and down it’s not an issue but there are a lot of forums with this issue. I love Volvos and was looking at this year specifically until I read this. People were saying they’d noticed issues around 68k
I have the 2013 S 60 t 5 and I love it so much

This is the second one that I saw have this issue over many years. My 2005 XC70's emblem was just fine :)
@@DMCarReviews Interesting! It must be because they used a lesser adhesive in the later models (probably starting around 2013 it sounds like). :)

The 2015 is still a oil burner. Thank god that was corrected in the ‘16+ models.
Never heard of those issues
My 2018 V60 burns oil.

I thought the problem was on 2016 models as well
Would this be good for new driver?
Yes! Absolutely. It is one of the best cars for a new driver. The Volvo S60 is very safe, comfortable, has good handling, and good on gas.
@@DMCarReviews thanks I’m glad you confirmed this I didn’t won’t the Honda it was to sporty for me so I will look at the s60 there so beautifully tooo
@@keke6894 The Volvo S60 is an excellent choice. It's a more upscale and comfortable car than an Accord.

Is it good to take used with 70.000km? What need to check and do maintenance for the next?
Yes! Just have it inspected by a Volvo dealer.
@@DMCarReviews thanks
