Hi Shok I wanted to thank you, because of your videos now I finally achieved my goals and I managed to climb to plat 2, I know it still's low rank, but before I was stuck in gold 4 for years. I've been using the new meta build for ap mages, I would love to receive coaching from you to further improve and reach diamond, but my country economy is very weak and a coach for me is like a full month salary. But at least I wanted to thank you for helping me achieve my goals and to improve my gameplay to a level that I was only dreaming at this point; I'm 27 now so I will not be a pro and I was even doubting of my skills to be even in silver haha. Your content is godlike please keep uploading videos! Maybe a Mid Jungle sinergies video or something would be great.
Thanks for the guide! How much do you think about draft in off role? Is it better to one trick in your off role or is it worth learning champs to have better drafts?
@@ShokLeague Ty that's way easier for us😂😂 As a main support with disgusting mecanics, i find it difficult to get a champion pool of 3champ for midlane....
Thanks a lot for your videos and everthing you do. You explain so many things and explain so well, i literally went from silver to emerald in 16 days just by wacthing ur videos again and again and learning things, you're doing an awesome job, keep going ;D
How exactly would riot "remove" dodging? There's no UI option to just "leave" champ select and there's nothing they're going to do to stop me from exiting the application. It would be unfair to the team if someone lost their connection and had to start a ranked match 4v5 so really the best way to handle it is to just do what they're doing. Frankly I think people should be able to dodge more with less punishment. 5-10 minutes que restriction is plenty. It gives people a reason not to dodge and allows the game group you dodged to proceed without you and get into a game. There's really no reason to tie anyone up beyond that imo.
I think just make it so you can't dodge after all champs have been selected (obviously this can still be abused by dodging before it, but makes it harder to see all champs/matchups before dodging). I'm sure there's a better way to do it but that's just off the top of my head
@@ShokLeague how would they make it so you cant? I can always control panel to quit the program. I guess they could push the game to continue without you but then that just kills everyone's experience. I think they'd lose players over that
I was just thinking about how I have absolutely no idea what champs to pick and when despite being dia and here you are coming out with a perfectly relevant guide. Are you in my head?
depends in which elo you are. until master it literally doesnt matter. there are so many counterpicks to a champion with insanly low wr against that, because they cannot play the strength of the champion proper. zed for example is a hard counter to viktor but in silver viktor ends up with a higher winrate of 51%
in which category would talon fit in? i mean he has mobility but more like out of combat mobility and his dash is more to get on targets. is that an issue and would he fit in the elise comb?
I think he's still pretty hard to gank and yeah I think he works well with elise, she can bring the CC/early game power and you can easily snowball off her feeding you kills
How many champs is too much in your opinion? I had a problem where i played all roles and 90% of champs which helped me improve at the cost of my rank. Ahri got me to masters first split but i still feel like i am limited by playing 2 3 champs. What is the number of champions that someone can comfortably play in a given patch?
depends on the ratio probably, when i see high chall player they either have like 40 games with one champ, 20 with other, 10 with other 2 for example, so they are basically playing 5 champs but is not all like 20 20 20 20 20 games right, is just depends on the champ select and what they prefer
I'd say if you're high rank you're probably looking to play around 6~ meta champs and that's definitely on the upper end. Somewhere around 4 if you're just abusing what is most OP probably makes more sense
13:16 Is it an issue if the ally team don't have any frontline ? In that draft i heard you said you need mobilty to be able to be more agressive against the "early gank" jungle/support, and picking leblanc, but isn't a melee good in the comp too ? Some games my jungle support and top all play range champs.. im scared for teamfights, Idk if i'm "forced" to play a melee, what do you think ?
if you are below master, you dont have to learn how you play from behind. you should learn how to not fall behind. thats because you are doing too many mistakes in trading, wave state and proactive gaming so you end up falling behind. fix these issues, get master and then you can neutralize lane with roaming and itemization. but i would suggest you to learn trading-, wave-, roam- and recallfundamentals first. you will easy stomp any lane in low elo then.
this is like your driving instructor telling you not to wear a seatbelt because any driving you do that results in your crash could have been prevented by safe driving. I'm going to lose lanes, all the time, at masters, before masters, past masters. I'm going to get smurfed on. learning how to neutralise a lane does not prevent me or diminish my learning of how to win a lane. @@firstcut7433
are you sure? I always win lane playing Anivia against bruiser, assassin and burst mage in my skill bracket (D4) and global matchup stats indicate that this is standard. I have way more issues against poke or control mage. @@firstcut7433
I think she's very good vs low range but you do need to be careful against certain kinds of threat. Normally assassins are fine but assassins with gank setup (like Fizz) can be a lot harder until you get zhonya
I was gonna ask but you mentioned it at the end if you could do a team comp guide. I mean I that that I understand the basics but I'm sure you have a far deeper understanding on it which would be useful to know.
@ShokLeague you're right. I think the things listed in this video far outweigh the composition. Like if you arn comfortable on a champion you probably shouldn't switch simply because it would aid the composition. But it would be nice to know in the back of your mind in case you do have a few options which may be better
ANOTHER DAY WITH SHOK'S GUIDE, ANOTHER RANK UP IN LEAGUE . EVERYONE SAY : THANK YOU MR SHOK
THANK YOU ME SHOK❤🎉
ur videos are so high quality bro
Thank you
I have a hot date on Friday thanks to this video
With me?
Nice haircut. Looks fresh.
I just play only akshan bc he its a champ im winning the most. Ofc im losing some games bc akshan is not good in some comps but I can still outplay

As an otp my whole draft plan , is typing "Am ap top" , and swaping picking order with mid so they can counter pick 😂 , great video tho

I think just one trick your off role

Great video as always. Feels like champ select is something people in "higher" elo like diamond and master still just full autopilot.
looking crispy today

10/10 content bro
ANY champ can build mercs ??? Cassio doesn't use boots and skarner can get 6 😂.
what AP champ would you rcommend for a champion pool of Kassa, Yone and Talon? (EUW Master+) i ban Zed
i am an otp so i dont have this prob XD
Shok listen to me. This video. I laav it. This video, I laav it.
I laav u bro
No one should dodge bellow Master, the chances of losing the game are almost never going to be bellow 40% to make the dodge profitable in terms of LP

One of the most underrated topic that no one talks about… some games are lost in champ selects .. nice video 🔥
I said this back in season 4 that games were won from Champ Select and I was laughed at, so many RUclipsrs are not covering this topic lmao...

Do you do coachings?
Yep there's a link in the description, won't be available this coming week as I'm going to taiwan for the PCS finals!
Excelent video man! I always learn so much from your videos.

I have 12 mr7 champs, and about 40 that are mr4 or higher.
Do you think shiv leblanc is still good? Been playing leblanc with shiv lately and it still feels pretty good
Not a huge fan anymore tbh
Should be mandatory to study Shok videos before being allowed to queue ranked

„Any champ can build mercs early”
Meanwhile me listening as a Cassiopeia main 🥹
hahaha
Buying mercs because of magic resistance is unefficient because you are paying 1100 for stats that cost 450 in a null magic mantle
yes so don't buy it unless u need the tenacity as well, otherwise just sit on the null magic@@tauroyam235
what do you think about Anivia as an answer to low range, high threat comps?
one of the worst you can do. she pretty much loses all of melee matchups (galio, cassio, neeko, talon, vex, kassadin, pantheon, sylas...).
