this man has some serious mental fortitude, one of the best mentalities I've seen. I've played a few tournaments with him and he's humble in victory and gracious in defeat. I am Value fan.
@@i0kiVids I don't know about any of that humble and gracious stuff. In looking for an ADC to watch, I went to check out his stream today and Value was flaming another player at the end of a game. Value tried to continue harassing the guy in private messages, but found himself blocked already, at which point he was calling the other player mentally ill. It was deeply uncomfortable.
One thing that you can do with just about any trap related champs. When choosing where inside the bushe to put the trap, you first think where they will enter the bush from then you set the trap right at the edge of the bush. Cause by the time they see the trap they already got caught in it. Another is if you're play against engage champs like Leona you one close to your feet play around it, he said something similar but you can also do through laning fase.
For the old school ADC players and Supports out there, a helpful rule of thumb. Freezing a wave = Keeping 1-3 CASTER minions alive (more the closer to your tower you want to be) to apply kill pressure to your wave & keep it from pushing. Stacking a wave = Keeping 2-3 MELEE minions alive (You want enough to hold you wave without the kill pressure), Stacking waves for a slow push was popularized by SKT Marin when he would run down side-lanes only killing caster minions causing massive slow-pushes and getting priority on the opposite of the map due to the cross-map pressure from the slow-push. This is how pro players set up waves to siege towers prior to rotating for dragon / baron / vision etc.
Would like to add some more details here coming from a low diamond player. Everything you said is the general idea, but there's some more technicalities for bot lane specifically that I also think about. I'd say its more like 3 casters and 1 melee (4 total minions) to achieve a more likely "freeze" in front of your tower. This may end up with you having to hold the minions in the end for just a second, but you want to do this just in case your support hits the wave at all (like a tank procing their support item stack too early on a cannon minion during the freeze or a xerath poking through the wave and thinning it accidentally). I find 4 to be a better number to sustain it. Anything less than 3 casters will not freeze and turns into a slow push rather quickly. You take whatever you can get with a duo lane unfortunately. "Stacking" waves has a few technical things added to it. I usually call this a slow push. On bot lane you can achieve 2 wave stacks, sometimes 3 wave stacks due to the length of the lane and the fact cannons come every 3 waves. It's usually best to crash a stacked waved once a cannon wave arrives to it as the health of the fat cannon is a large time slot added to the wave. It's also important to time killing the wave slowly to avoid pushing it up too quickly if your next wave is not coming in behind it in time. You also don't necessarily need to keep any certain number of minions alive, you just need to have more minions than the enemy or have the wave equalized but the waves then have to collide closer to your side of the lane (from central point) towards your tower, if that makes sense. You can build a slow push from a neutral/center position in the right scenarios for a small 2 wave crash ( 1 regular wave, 1 cannon wave) and this buys you either a quick plate, some poke, a dive if the enemy is low enough, or just a ward timer to get a deep ward in somewhere. It's important not to overspend the time you buy yourself on a weak 2 wave crash though. You get to do just 1 thing with that timer, not several.
@@garrettbillington7230 You're pretty much right on target there brother, just remember outside of your support duo juggle and enemy counter pushes or freezes to maintain equal pressure. Oftentimes the main thing holding people back is not cross-mapping their micro plays. Common themes are like your top is pushing so you push too if you can to force the enemy to choose where to go etc, but also that you as an individual can juggle this ie on Caitlyn instead of doing a cheater recall with low gold snipe the plates mid and as enemy moves to react and vision reveals secure topside ward control and pressure top before backing and returning bot etc etc. I know you know these based on what you expressed, and while I agree those micro wave plays are some really good bread and butter in lane, once you hit level 9 you should be looking at the big picture.
99% of the early game for an ADC is literally wave management and helping your support when they are in lane. If your support roams all an adc can do is let them. I've done ADC for many season, as well as jungle, and am mostly a support main now. The majority of ADCs still don't know how to look at wave states, when to help support pressure, and when to ward even. I get it is a more complicated role because you have to CS, know those things, and deal with 3 people in a lane with you. Still, the vast majority of adc's don't even try to attempt to be good. My problem with bot lane in general is that both champs in the lane are typically fragile champs. This means that even if far ahead it may not matter. If your mid, top, and/or jungle are so very far behind there can be no coming back in mid game. Seen this way too often. Overall, good coaching and good playing in this video.
@i0kiVids Im the annoying guy who keeps asking for a Draven game lol. You keep saying "soon" but I am impatient and want it now haha. Good Job btw handling coaching.
I'm a bit torn on this video. You open the vid all but calling adc's trash, then proceed to make some similar adc mistakes. had some great traps and a nice outplay. Then you reinstate that you hate most adc players, and then Praise Value. Its like Botlane is a two person lane. And it feels no better when your a decent adc, and your stuck with either a bad support player, or an autofilled doesn't give a damn support that goes 0/3 in the first 7 minutes, and your lane is over.
What I learnt is this game is far more cerebral than I've even given it credit. Stack waves, CS until mid game, wait, two more, never leave on one in that position... WHAT? bro just kill them.
Yo great vid! If u want you should try MF with PTA: overheal, bloodline, coup de grace. Absolute Foucs and gathering storm. kraken, ie, into bloodthirster its been great for me this season!
Yo ioki, do you agree that adcs have to play on a knife's edge, to the point where either they get one shot or they outplay and deal tons of damage back?
hey ioki ! as i said before ( in your supp cait video) you have insane mechanics with her. loved to watch this . and I love your kind face and you seem to have a pure heart.( i'm not gay but i had to tell you what i felt ) GOOD JOB .
Less than 2 minutes in and I'm trying to figure out why it didn't start with "You bought the wrong item." If you get another ADC coach, try to get Cookie.
Day 41~ of asking: Please play Yuumi support, Teemo ADC, Bel'Veth jungle, Nid in the mid, and . . . um . . . Lulu top?? i0ki Teemo ADC? Please please please please?? :D Basically Yuumi, Nid, and Lulu give attack speed buffs to Teemo's stealth attack speed buff, and late game Bel'Veth, to create two godly attackers. For Fun SQUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!! Please? ^_^
That was trash! Only saw u do like 2 good combo plays, but u did alot of these weird random ults thats no value and waste it for when u could have done something but its down. I mean serisly, yr up against a Janna and u have a control mage sup. Literally free lane there!
Who do you want to see me get coached by next? 👀
Ooof hard question... Maybe Yozu?

chimchim ;)
Zwag lmao

I love it when you do games with coaches, helps me learn a lot, other than that amazing content as always keep it up!
man plays nothing but ADC....i feel bad for his psyche.

Yea, the way he uses trap placement is weird. He also never placed any traps behind turret where u can't see them.
can also check xfsn saber for caitlyn mechanics + his clips for insane traps
