Of course i always hit the like button from me here in Norway. Want to sit in the sunset looking at the stone carvings - and have a "dreamtime", when u are 71 it should be so nice...
@@SveinMBortne much of the rock art is fake and was done in recent years. We have some rock art here where I live and it was in the 1930's by local timber cutters but everyone that doesn't know that is astounded by it.
I work for a engineering company and over time with some customers baised on their repeatable failures we make pipework and hoppers with wear patches. So when we make a new piece of pipework or hopper shute we weld a heavey piece of metal on top of the known wear point. We select a material that has better properties to steam or abrasives for this wear patch. This is more cost effective than making the whole section from a higher cost material but increases the life of the part by years. Might be a option for your exhaust, the patch has to be fullly welded on to the part apart from a small area. We then put this in a oven to make sure all gasses and moisture are removed before sealing up. Sure if you heated the section with a blow torch before welding the last bit you would get the same result. Thanks for the videos 👍🏻🏴⚓⛵
Troy & Pascale, you two are so knowledgeable about so many things, just incredible. Love your very professional videos. All the best to you both, from the UK.
I Love how you share your beautiful country with us, the sailing, the petroglyphs, the fishing and so on. You have a great sense of humor and I know I will be smiling before the end of your video. You are good for the soul.

I really like the ancient rock art. I am glad you are going around a second time. I was about to suggest it in my comments. There must be plenty which you guys have not seen yet (and given us an opportunity to see them).
I have a D 400 wind generator by Eclectic Energy since 2004 made in the UK, Over time I found them to have good quick service, Just had it rebuilt last year, it is very quiet. I view It is one of the boat's important backup power sources. I never have to turn it off in high winds, it uses a heat sink/dump resistors to get rid of the excess powder. Normally when the wind is blowing it is rainy and overcast, I find it is an important backup for my solar power which is indispensable for living onboard. Keep up your great adventures - SV Skoiern IV
As I write this comment to your latest, the wind genny has, for the 3rd time today, stopped to protect itself. I've just fitted two 100 watt Solar's so between the two and the genny the batteries are just fine. Couple of things. Watching you has become almost like family. I love the honest and down-to-earth rhythm of each video and I'm so glad you feature the indigenous art, especially around the Pillbery. As for the stone fish...I don't think so.. My Best David
I was working as a diving guide in Palawan. A tourist was out on a island hopping excursion and managed to step on a stone fish. It's 154 km's to the nearest hospital from Port Barton. I'll leave it to your imagination what he went through.

Fab, as always. There's something about ancient art, whether it be a few centuries or few millennia, makes me feel right-sized in respect of the unknowable. That which is greater than me when made tangible like that, makes me feel like I'm in my right place, which is small, and a small part of a greater whole, and that comforts me.
No offense to others from Australia and New Zealand but often I cannot understand one word the say so thanks for either working on your accent so I can get all the sharing or thanks for being clear speakers of the shared English language. Bob in Nevada.
Love it to the nature and unpolished travel story telling. Enjoy and greetings from the Netherlands.Being Dutch, we sail (of course😉) but in less adventures surroundings like you do. Australie on my bucketlist now😃
I watch your posts for the fishing and cooking but i do understand the mechanical issues. but i love the fish you guys catch coming from the Caribbean when i'm am there i love fresh fish especially in Antigua where my family are from
I really enjoy your insight on the petroglyphs, flora and fauna. Haven't heard of idiots releasing stonefish in the Caribbean but lionfish are taking over throughout. Getting to the point that people have introduced so many invasive species that the environment and habitat is completely changed. Sorry I couldn't give Pascale a ride, my old man tricycle doesn't have waterwings.
Hey how about the inside of a Stone Fish's gob. Bright read. I reckon a Stone fish has a similar body to a Star Gazer. Similar wings too although a Star Gazer might have bigger wings.
Another great video guys, thank you. Was just wondering if you could attach a disc to the front face of the wind gennie to shield it from the full extent of the wind to reduce the speed and give you power in strong winds? Perhaps a fun project for Troy? Try a large ring to shield the tips of the blades to about half way. Fair winds and following seas
That's an intriguing idea. I wonder if the blades could be folded in half. Lol, a reefing system for your rotor. I know the old windmills could do that.
Hello Troy - I haven't finished the entire video but can't you devise a way to block some of the wind hitting your wind generator to solve the over-speed problem? Just asking, maybe you already solve it. I will continue to watch. Cheers!
Are there any hallucinogenic plants in that area? I wonder about these artist and doing their drawings during a vision quest. In the Americas there are, what about your side of Australia? btw, thanks for the vids....keep it up you two.
Regarding wind generators, doesn't anyone make a variable pitch, maybe variable frequency unit that can be conditioned to always make best use of rotation? Maybe variable gear reduction...hmmmm...
I'm so inspired by you two, and hope to get out amongst the waves and scenery too. When on passage, and having the lure trolling, are dolphins ever a concern? Are they smart enough to detect the hooks and avoid them? I am never sure about leaving the line out when sailing and dolphins come around the boat, I don't want to hook and hurt one. You are my go to people for all things boating..!! Thanks heaps for sharing your story and adventures with us. Kind regards, Grant on Sjöfàgel II

Seems to me there would be a market for a wind-gen with a gearbox. Say, manually selectable between direct drive, and 2:1 drive.. that would let it work in higher wind speeds.

If you're similarly afflicted with ethanol gas, phase separating it out will result in much happier small engine carburetors. RUclips U is repeat with course offerings. BTW, had the same problem with my southwest wind power Air 403 (grandfather to the Air X) turbine connected to 300 Ah of battery. The 400 W charge rate was too high and it spiked voltage in seconds and cut out resulting in low total output in high winds. The Air breeze i run now at 200 W is much more compatible with my present 400 Ah bank through a wider wind speed range. But you are spot on that they are tuned to a narrow band for the most part.
Hi, Great video once more, I sometimes put subtitles on if i'm watching and it's so funny reading the interpretation of some words with your Australian accents, I noticed that your forestay was looking a bit baggy, do you think the Dyneema has stretched?.
Hey guys ive been thinking about your wind gen if you just put some more friction on the blade when the winds high it would be in the gen range.. let us know what you come up with..
Nice job on the exhaust. I do wonder, the exhaust gasses going into the rest of the exhaust system will be hotter. No issues because of the higher temperature, eg with plastics?

Yup, the 2nd title is much better... Nice thumbnail also. 👍🐡
Greeting from cold Finland! Just wanted to say that your chill lifestyle is really cool, even with the downsides of living in a boat

You need a wind generator with two different rotors! One smaller and slower, for high winds. It can have an air brake for really high winds.
That's an intriguing idea. I wonder if the blades could be folded in half. Lol, a reefing system for your rotor. I know the old windmills could do that.

Superwind generators don't cut out. They actually furl the blades to keep producing power at higher wind speeds. We love ours except for the price.
You can have all the things you can afford!
