Had a black 3.5si with red leather for a few years. Traded it for a lexus and then got a jaguar. Miss the BMW everyday as it was fun, comfortable as a grand tourer, very well built and quite practical for what it is.
I think the Z4 looks fantastic and open top always meant it's going to be fun. BMW also build engaging driving cars generally compared to their rivals. But I can't understand why he mentioned power to weight ratio as standing out. For e.g. A R56 MINI Cooper S has a higher power to weight ratio than the 23i. The 23i is a great grand tourer. But it isn't the true performance or drivers car.
Nice job on your silver Z4! One of my favorite roadsters of all time. I don’t suffer from OCD, but the locking wheel lug on each wheel not being red would drive me crazy. LOL!!
How did the 23i compare to your 20i in terms of driving/performance? Not much in it I guess, your 20i maybe more torque at lower rpm, where the 23i has a bit more power in the higher range of rpm.. Am I right? Btw, I own a 2010 30i, best car I ever had.. Nice to see someone making videos about the E89 Z4, next to American sources which usually only focus on the highend 35i(s) model.. I subscribed..
The inline 6 sound varies. The best sounding modern inline 6 BMW engine I have heard is the N55B30T0 in the M2 with the M performance exhaust. A run of the mill E90 328i sedans I see in the US do not sound very good stock and I would rather have the extra horsepower and torque with the N20 over the base 3.0l NA inline 6 engine that BMW used in a lot of cars in the US for a while pre-N20.
My wifes Z4 is over 14 years old, and it still looks fantastic and drives superb the 3 litre engine is superb.She has had no problems with this car at all, it's used daily all year round never garaged, bodywork still fantastic from the day we bought it .It's covered 105,000 miles but i know that engine is just run in, This car has been the best car i have ever bought her and she has had alot of sports cars .merc's sl's audi tt's ect .The Z4 is the best car by far and it hasn't cost me alot of money to maintain at all.
@@matthewhickman9220 In my opinion i would go for the z4,my wife had a mk1 tt had electric problems and a5 soft top electric problems also with that car.She now has a white mercedes slk 250 cdi brilliant car, ticks all the boxes.Fuel consumption is fantastic, really fast looks great very reliable.Had not one problem with it and she has had it just over two years now on a 2013 plate it's only covered 45,000 miles and it looks like a brand new car still .Got the wheels painted black and calipers in red looks superb.And you can pick one up for a brilliant price.Good luck with your choice Matthew.Bmw has the better engine also
Silver definitely shows the lines better than black, and of course black is only clean once you’ve finished washing it and a day later the dirt shows all over again.
Hey I am thinking if I should get the g29 or e89, I am not sure tho, because both designs are fine, I would pay 10 grands more for the g29 with maybe same or a little less kilometer, n new model, but I am a person, I don’t really need all the technical features except from front and back parking help, which I guess the e89 as well offers, but I Definetly prefer the seats of the g29 and overall the impression n vibe of the car is a bit more supreme, I guess. What is your opinion for 2024?:) Thank you!
i had two z4 (2.5i e85 and 23i e89) and switched to an e92 335i after a few weeks i already miss the e89 my plan is to switch back in future to a 35i e89

carbon stickers on everything is not carbon fiber and looks cheap and untidy ...those stickers will all peel off ......its bought from the spare shop ........and Rline badge what a disgrace ,gumball,momo....come on man......he should go for MPERFORMANCE badge atleast ....This guy should buy a golf if he want to be a ricer and but alot of cheap stickers....................IF you got bmw ,and you want to put carbon fiber then buy the kit from bmw ........or hydrodip

@@kennethwise7108 I have a 2009 E93 bought used in 2019 and I lubricate the hinges and seals twice a year. Sometimes more if needed. There's a bunch of videos online on what to lubricate and what product to use. If it's taken care of properly, it shouldn't fail. Convertibles are really nice. Wife says it provides her therapy and she's a teacher. lol
I would love to try and get the BMW Z4 35i but ill probably end up going for a Z4 20i it's mainly depending on if I have enough money for it when I ready to get it.
they are much more affordable that you might think on finance 4 year old will be about £160pm with a 1.5k deposit ... With the new one being a soft top these had top ones (2009-2016) wont really depreciate too much, so finance deals will be very favourable
hi man could you or you guys help me with this decision? 2012 bmw z4 35i both cars (same km and price) one car is the new automatic double clutch (7 speeds), midnight blue, luxurious interior (white seats, black wood, etc), all xtras or 6 speed manual, alpiness white, black interior, no parktronic, no heated seats, yes multimedia, bmw m6 wheels 19", exhaust system eisenmann both cars are awesome, and the white exterior looks and sound amazing, more than de good too but not enough blue, these wheels are perfect, but the blue car is simply luxurious and elegant I'm 50% on each car and don't know comfort blue or sports white? regards and thanks guys
Mt 23i faultless engine 82k miles, but tail light mist up due to bad design, boot cycles due to some manufacturing wire faults. I had a plug come loose and roof stopped working and recently one of the pump motor relays failed, also stopped roof from working. But good forum for solving problems, Z forum.

Having test driven both the sdrive23i and sdrive30i there is no comparison the 30i sounds way better the 23i is just too muted.

What year and model of the Z4 is "Better" than others? I'm kind of looking at a hardtop moreover than the soft top. Also are they problematic?
