The Brady Bunch ended in early 1974 (March I believe) as the final season is 1973 to 1974. Those last 6 episodes are when they brought Robbie Rist as cousin Oliver. 1971 through 1973 is the best, I feel. I didn't much care for the first season, 1968-1970.
When my friends and I were the Brady Bunch's target age, during its run, we all thought the show's lessons were corny, differed little from Davy and Goliath. The Monkees preceded the Brady's by two years, the Partridge Family ran parallel, and both were far less heavy handed in their delivery of the lesson. Mike Brady was insufferably patronizing (cue Mike's music).
The funny thing is, Maureen McCormick/Marcia said in her book that she didn't swoon over Davy Jones, as she liked older men. She actually had a crush on Jack Klugman of "The Odd Couple," who she would see on the studio lot.

Brady bunch was the best… it ended in 73 and I was born in 74 but I swear I’ve seen every episode 10 times
