Anyone who starts arguing with you Lora about who The Great Queen is, shows by that action alone how little they have read of quality sources about Herself. As Jon and you have said before UPG (unverified personal gnosis) has it's place and part of learning about the lore and going to the sources is to see where our UPG overlaps with lore. What of our personal notions and experiences of the Great Queen fit the themes and symbols within Her lore? It's amazing to read something in one of Her stories and realize She spoke those same words to you before you knew of this poem. Within community we also get to see what of our UPG overlaps with that of other people. Does all of this challenge our perspectives of Herself and our relationship to Her ? Absolutely! It also gives it such a strong foundation, connecting with the lore, the traditions it makes my relationship with Herself that much richer. It does require me to ask myself some difficult questions about my UPG, shadow work, etc. None of this is easy, nor should it be. That's part of what makes it so rewarding and transformative. Going by UPG and blog posts with no connection to the original source material unfortunately leads to a very watered down and confusing view of Herself.
I’m so thankful to have Irish Pagan School as a resource. Y’all aren’t afraid to tell it as it is and the true dedication to correcting misinformation is the energy we all need in these circles and communities ❤
Yes! I love this. The Morrigan energy manifesting! I'm still in the beginning stages of this calling, and intuitively I knew my best bet was to sit my ass down and learn from those who grew up with The Morrigan and the lore in the culture. Even having Irish lineage, I could feel my ancestors saying, you have to *learn*. Because I did not grow up with the lore. Thank you for all you do!
Personally I don't like when people put their own views on known religions that are significantly ancient. Everytime it happens they're just trying to change it to their own values. You just keep up the great work you're doing with the IPS

This mindset of a comfortable/casual relationship with Themselves, Herself, etc. reminds me of those videos of people who act like they're Disney main characters around wild animals (so many "and that's when they knew, they F*cked up" memes brighten many a dark day ^_^). Look, I'm Irish and what I used to think was pure fear of Na Daoine Maithe or An Mór-Ríoghain I have realised is awe and endless respect at the vastness of history and the huge swathes of knowledge, wisdom and power connected to their presence... Also, yeah being sh*t scared is part of it. It can be frightening, but that is also part of learning. Be terrified, but keep taking those steps forward. I'm not on FB anymore (with chronic illness I have zero extra mental bandwidth), but I have seen the Dunning-Kruger effect coupled with inflated egos lead to this kind of thing. Instead of spreading sole hate, we spread love; instead of spreading sole grey, we spread the rainbow; for me, being in Anishinabe(and learning of the rainbow prophecy from the Hopi, Mayan, Cree, Quechua, and even Lakota now, with indigenous ancestry of these lands becoming part of me now, part of my rainbow too, where one can still be a Gael(rainbow Gael as it should always be) and so much more), there was a reason why our ancestors once told us we would leave the Emerald Isle and eventually revisit in time; if we only stay close-minded and refuse to let anything new come in, things will eventually become stagnant; this why we cross the Nile as we continue and remember "our roots"("you bow down to no one, not even to me, my love") and ultimately the rainbow and interconnectedness that brings us together rather than solely divide and isolate us indeed(it takes strength to face the storm, but we continue with courage & strength indeed); slan go foill(bye for now) 🔥🌧🌈
"The emerald isle" is open, we are abundant in new bloodlines bedding in and taking root to grow healthy in our garden. What we do NOT want or need, after rooting them out, is the entitled coloniser mentalities telling us what we are, what we should be or will be, to suit THEIR needs. Feck that, every single day.
