I'm even trying to learn Irish on Duolingo.🙂 I share your Morrigan videos in several Facebook groups so that others know of your fantastic channel, as well as the fact that they can get native sources and perspective from you and others at the IPS. Thankyou, I’m glad I found your yt page. I’m in need of the Morrigan but have never worked with Her before.
    Finding accurate information on Her is very important to me. I have some Irish heritage from my grandmother on my mothers side and a fierce side to me and a crow appeared in a painting I was working on four years ago, and I didn’t necessarily intend to paint one but this makes sense as to why

    I really so appreciate you posting this, really happy I found you! Up until now, I've found exactly what you alluded to at the start, just some slideshow of sexy fan art or really shitty AI images of the Morrigan with *another* retelling of the story of Cu Chulhainn, so I've been dying for some actual substance like this. I've only found the Morrigan within the last couple of years and I'm excited to have some actual material I can pour through, thank you so much!

    It's not hard to find genuine authors or teachers on subjects. I can't see why people are still going to non-native speakers for information on Irish culture, lore, mythology & the general overall new history of Ireland. And then get mad when you correct them.

    • @rowanrois
      @rowanrois 2 года назад

      I've had so many encounters with non-native "Celtic pagans" telling me about how encounters with Herself is like a bad acid trip with death metal playing. And then get all angry when you provide them with links proving them wrong. It's disturbing how people can be so confident in their ignorance that they get peeved when someone tries to educate them!

    I have a very very very stupid question that is very important to me... I've heard from so many different places that her hair is either red or black..as a ginger I have sort of loved the idea of her also being one😅

    • @rowanrois
      @rowanrois 2 года назад +5

      Lora actually touches on this in a few videos and has stated that The Mórrígan has red hair! I could be remembering this wrong, but I don't think I am. I feel like the idea of her having black hair and dark features is due to the modern wiccan belief that she's a dark Goddess of death and war.

    I have a statue of The Morrigan. I fear her. But I respect and honor her. Question? Is she Bridgid 's mother? I avoid placing her on my hearth with Bridgid because I don't know. But she belongs on my hearth if she is Bridgid's mother. The shape shifting Goddess I relate to is Cerriden. I am an American with multiple ethiciniticies. I have looked into my heart, and looked at cultural problems. I guess I've decided that my ancestors are worthy of honoring their God's and Goddesses. However, I will not disrespect current cultural positions.

    • @rowanrois
      @rowanrois 2 года назад

      From my understanding, Herself isn't blood related. I know that she is the wife of An Dagda and Brighid is His daughter but I don't think Brighid is blood related to Herself. I could be wrong though!

Coventina and Morrigan came to me. Then I realized crows come to me because they want to say something but I still don't know what. I was hoping you would tell me something.

      sure but maybe it's to get you to pay attention to be present pay attention to where you and you're surroundings and what's going on at that time maybe the answers are there just look around. and could be just to say they're with you or watching you. idk that's what i got when i read what you wrote.
