Lora, I recognized your emotion in my own heart. That horrible mixture of guilt & regret. I was not the person my children needed me to be, either. I have done years & years of therapy and work to become, as you said, "the person my children need me to be" - I teared up when I heard you say that, because I have said it to myself. My heart to you; we are doing the work, and that is the most sincere, most helpful, most effective love letter & apology to our children that we can offer.
Thank you. I lost my baby and have been through the darkest time. My pain feels so personal and isolating, but this really made me feel lighter and connected. Thank you, really.
