For years I've had the guitar book for Get Yer Ya Yas Out and while it's pretty good from what I can tell for some reason it completely ignores that little riff during the line about his best friend shooting water rats. Just says to go back to the main riff. Nice to see you play it right so I can now play it right.
Taylor brought that Weaving to a new level... he basically played rhythm to Keith's lead-rhythms by playing rhythm like a lead guitarist; he kind of does sommersolts around Keith's lead rhythms and makes the music come alive...
great work, but the problem I have with YY is it's Keith doing Chuck Berry for most of the songs, even his own; MT meanwhile only really shows his stuff on the second Sympathy solo and the entirety of Stray Cat Blues... otherwise it's an album for Keith to assert his total leadership, which is fine coming off Let it Bleed; however, the Exile and Goat tours were FAR better...
Disagree totally.Taylor solo on Love in Vain, His great lead and solos on Midnight Rambler.People complain about Taylor’s rhythm playing.Well you have great rhythm guitar on Live Me.And he is also outstanding on street Fighting Man and Satisfaction
Fantastic.........
Thank you! 🎸

Have to recognize that MT was a young guy on his first American tour with the band. He was still integrating his playing with Keith’s work.
