Jeremy, I am 65 and have been a Stones devotee for my entire life., and I appreciate all the different periods of this incredible band. That being said, to hear you play these Mick Taylor solos from the period of 1969 to 1974, I am truly blown away. You sound like Mick, and not just because you hit the right notes (which you do, absolutely spot on), but your approach is just like his : gentle, nimble, and so delicate. Mick Taylor had that special, unique touch that fit so perfectly in the songs he participated in. There is no guitarist like him. You really succeed in capturing this in your playing, the true essence of what Mick Taylor was back in those days. Congratulations, Jeremy, a truly remarkable video. You are really talented.
All right, I gotta work with you to learn some of these tunes. I’ve been playing a long time and I’m such a stone fan and you’re nailing em! my brother! outstanding you take work with students.??

I’m 53, studied these records since childhood and I am floored with how well you nailed each one of these with precision. All…with just enough of your flare to make them your own. It’s uncanny how well you recreate them as well as Mick could ever hope too. Really amazing.

Thank you. I’ve always loved Mick Taylors guitar work with the Stones. As a young teen who was into Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, I was used to some incredible guitar solos. Up until Mick joined the Stones I always thought that they were lacking in that area. Then my eldest brother bought Sticky Fingers. I loved the bluesy laid back way Mick added a new dimension to the band and for the better of the band And, boy, did you nail those solos here.
Great video. The Mick Taylor era of The Rolling Stones was always my favorite. I am a guitar player and this gave me a whole new level of appreciation actually watching someone so talented play these solos. I especially enjoyed “Time Waits for No One”.

I'm 78. For me the Mick Taylor years with the Stones were the soul of rock&roll. I loved Led Zeppelin, The Jefferson Airplane, Cream, and Hendrix. But nothing seemed as alive or spoke to my soul like the Stones when Taylor contributed. I can't even bring to mind a Rolling Stones tune after he was no longer with them. Listening to their later stage efforts to play "Sympathy for the Devil" seemed almost Sacrilegious. Thank you for your brilliant work that you played for us here.

Keith Richards said in a '15 interview that he was curious to see if the Stones could become a three-guitar band and he loved playing Rambler ('12 & '13). I love Ronnie Wood. I wish he had sobered up 20 years before he did, but these solos are flawless. Videos like this amaze me. The dedication to execute these solos so sublimely is incredibly impressive AND they magnificently highlight the original artist's brilliance.

Your playing is tremendous! I met Mick Taylor, for about 10 seconds in 1993. Shook his hand! It was at a weird music convention at the LA Forum that included tons of bootleg albums and Hollywood Madame Heidi Fleiss was there, wearing a bathrobe and signing autographs.

Brilliant! Mick Taylor was my guitar hero growing up, playing his Stones stuff. I thought I was alone as nobody seemed to be into Mick Taylor before the Internet and now on RUclips I see this kind of stuff, makes me feel good and glad I stuck to my guns especially when there where so many cheesy guitarists not to par and where other guys hero’s I could not stand. John Mayall’s Blues Breakers pumped out some hot guitarists... Taylor joined him at age 17, the Stones at 20. In 5 years cut the best rock the Stones came out with that everyone looks to for the best in Stones tunes (Brian Jones era was remarkable too yet different).
I agree with you Buddy.Mick Taylor years were the BEST,Brian Jones years were really good as well mainly because I Love the early Stones music back when it was Raw but some with Taylor(Let it Rock) was as well....after Mick, well, things just weren't the same, never get back to the era they peaked.I liked seeing Mick make his "guest" appearances because it reminded people just how great they once were.
Midnight Rambler AND Can't You Hear Me Knocking were just two of his songs NOBODY but Mick could pump out like he did...but there were so many more.(those two were his "guest songs".)
This is fantastic!! Watching your finger work enlightens me as to just how great Mick Taylor's guitar work was. Definitely the best period of Stone's music. I love Taylor's work near the end of Midnight Rambler. I didn't see that on this video, but I didn't make it to the end. The Stray Cat Blues solo is off-the-charts!

I just watched a documentary about their MT period yesterday 🎸 None of these solos was featured, my cousin just sent me this fabulous link... I'm blown by this work, at 67 still discovering amazing guitar work of the 70's. Bravo mon ami, took me half a century to hear that!!👍
Mick Taylor is THE Greatest Melodic/lyrical guitarists ever. My favorite above and beyond any other that's ever lived, including Hendrix, Clapton, Stevie Ray, and Prince. So in touch, so attuned , so precisely focused and concentrated on choosing the exact right notes. What an artistically artistic artist!!! Blows my mind every time. Wish he did more with other successful bands after The Stones. .. Give me a call if You ever see this Mick Taylor. HaHa. I have a few thousand songs of original lyrics to go over with you

Listening to the solos made me happy. Thank you. Actually his solos are sometimes not mixed loud enough so your playing brought it forward enough to appreciate it as is should have been.
I've circled back this video. It is excellent. Thanks again for sharing. Mick Taylor deserves his own place in the quirky ass R&R HOF and ranking as one of the top rock lead and blues guitarists of all time. I love the Stones and the Glimmer Twins, but know in my gut that MT got ripped by the Stones machine. Jagger and Richards should give MT 10+% royalties and or at least what other "official" band members got during his tenure. Really more bc MT was the most creative member behind Jagger and Richards. RIP Mr. Watts.
The Mick Taylor years are my favorite version of the band, by far. Taylor gave the band the guitar chops they had to have to be considered "The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World." Before Taylor the Stones were one among several interesting British rock bands. And although the band did produce some noteworthy music after Taylor left, their days of rock greatness left with him. It's all been cashing in on the greatness they created from 69 to 74. I think Taylor pushed Keith to do the best work of his career. Richards and Taylor together were magnificent.
awesome ! I'm a huge Taylor fan..... like Larry said before me, you nailed it ! My personal favorite Taylor solo is hands down " Time waits for no one " Great work !!!!

Out of all of these outstanding solos I personally believe ‘Love in Vain’ and ‘All down the line’ were Taylor’s greatest. The former for its pure feel for the moment, and latter for its unadulterated rock n roll. Well done… you nailed them all

@Steve Spencer Thank you very much for your comment. By the way, you can find a lot of Rolling Stones tracks covered on my channel (especially Mick Taylor period); with the guitar part of Keith Richards & Mick Taylor. Stay tuned for more! I wish you the best. Greetings from France; Jeremy

I just watched a documentary about their MT period yesterday 🎸
None of these solos was featured, my cousin just sent me this fabulous link... I'm blown by this work, at 67 still discovering amazing guitar work of the 70's. Bravo mon ami, took me half a century to hear that!!👍
Thank you from the bottom of my Heart ❤️🔥

😉 Like Lou Reed says, my life was saved by rock'n'roll
Mick Taylor is THE Greatest Melodic/lyrical guitarists ever. My favorite above and beyond any other that's ever lived, including Hendrix, Clapton, Stevie Ray, and Prince. So in touch, so attuned , so precisely focused and concentrated on choosing the exact right notes. What an artistically artistic artist!!! Blows my mind every time. Wish he did more with other successful bands after The Stones. .. Give me a call if You ever see this Mick Taylor. HaHa. I have a few thousand songs of original lyrics to go over with you
The Rolling Stones Mick Taylor era is the testimony of a Rock n' Roll band which has transformed itself into a war machine.

RIP Mr. Watts.
@Clay Rowden Many Thanks for your comment. I agree with you. I wish you a wonderful week-end; Jeremy

That was amazing chief. Keith Richards is my favorite guitar player but Mick Taylor was fookin amazing on those Stones records. And I think when Mick joined the Stones he brought out the best in Keith. Mick certainly gave Keith the freedom to blossom as a one of a kind rhythm guitar player.

@@jeremybares Je suis en France aussi. (Nice). Aurais bien aimé chanter du Stones sur une guitare comme ça ( ancien chanteur de rock - dans ma jeunesse... 😊).
Out of all of these outstanding solos I personally believe ‘Love in Vain’ and ‘All down the line’ were Taylor’s greatest. The former for its pure feel for the moment, and latter for its unadulterated rock n roll.
Well done… you nailed them all

I consider myself a Rolling Stones fanatic and listen to some of their music on a daily basis. I have seen them in concert 4 different times. 1981, 1992, 2015, and the first concert after Charlie Watts passing. I have 19 albums, 24 CD's and hundreds of songs downloaded on my listening device ( IPOD ) I hope to see them at least one last time.
