  • Hi Everyone,
Thanks for watching my channel! In this video I build the Hasegawa 1/72 P-38J Lightning. It is an old kit (1977 tooling) with raised panel lines. This was a fun build though. I used Vallejo Metal Color Aluminum for the natural metal finish. Please feel free to comment. Take care! Drew

Great video! I've built several of these and found that putting weights in the engine nacelles is the key. It's a neat kit but I wish Tamiya would do this remarkable plane in 1/72.

Thanks! I also added weights in the nacelles. Oh yeah if Tamiya put out a 1/72!!

Turned out great Drew. Looks like a nice kit and you did it justice.
As for the decals, SuperScale are great as far as the way they go down, and how thin they are. But, like yours, I found some mistakes in my last set. For the B-17 there are some decals that are basically red strips that have the words Life Raft that go where the life rafts are stored in the upper fuselage. Mine were red stipes only... no words printed. Some of their historical details can be missing or incorrect due to more current research on a given subject.
Anyway, nice job on the kit and great video, my friend!

The Tamiya 1/48 is fairly new. I haven’t built it but it is supposed to be awesome.

Наружная расшивка выдает старую модель...Мне модель Р - 38 от ,RS models, больше понравилась...хотя пластик уже ,замыленый,...но детализация лучше...и расшивка внутренняя.😮🤔🧐
