I had seen people do fan supports a while ago, but never knew how. I actually found this while searching for a different problem, but I'm damn glad I did! This is wonderful to see demonstrated, thank you!
Can't believe I recognize that voice from ZBrush sculpting streams a few years ago, in particular your awesome 2B sculpt from Nier Automata. I remember them with fondness and learned a lot. Hope your time with Mango3D and Lychee is rewarding. I will definitely give Lychee a try now that I have a resin printer. Cheers.
Love to see that printed!.I'm using lychee pro I'm trying to find a way of using less supports on my model's hopefully with testing trial n error there will be a way to cut down on all these supports and the damage reduction from tips
FANtastic! 😁 Thank you for this! Great video! Could you please do a video showing how to put supports inside a hollowed out model please? Again, great video and thank you! 👍
We have a lot of hotkeys to do multiple actions. But ALT key it at the center of multiple of these actions, combined with CTRL for mini supports and then Shift for the Continuity mode :)
Can you help? I own an Elegoo Mars 2 Pro. When I try print with a sliced file from Lychee, I get an error saying "Resolution not compatible" I have Lychee set for my printer and my resin. I don't know how to fix.
can you select multiple supports at a time. So if I have a failure using medium supports but the placement is correct I can select multiple supports at once and hit heavy one time to change them?
if you haven't figured this out already, you can hold shift then click supports to select multiple, then click the "heavy" button on the support menu and this will change the selected supports to heavy
If anyone else is having the same difficulty I had trying to make mini-supports work: Don't hold down the mouse button when you drag the mini-support! Simples.
Please look at some of our latest Shorts vidéo, we show some tips about manual supports. Just add suports by clicking on the Mesh when you are in the Support tool, and while using the ALT key, you can create supports from the model to another support, or adding manual bracing. We are working on written documentation for the manual supports creation
@@Lychee3d Thanks. I found it thanks to you. I'm on pro trial version. I would pay it. But I just had other problems :/ I come on discord to discuss and search if it is a bug or a missmanipulation from me.
@@Lychee3d Yea, but easier its understand this than only Frensh 😝 Keep going, maybe add some "preview" at start would be nice where quickly show what functions going to explained?
Pressing control at sometimes works sometimes it just creates another support this program is really hard to use and understand. I pay 4poinds a month and it's a huge headache compared to a program that's free!
@@kensaiix chitubox but trust me lychee is worth sticking with, it's soooo much better than chitubox! You can get lychee for free hit I pay the extra because it dds a few things you don't get with the free version

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remove the need to add a mini support. It should be as simple as holding a hotkey and clicking and the supports automatically connect to the previous full support
You need to define a starting point at least on the "previous" support you mention. Then it's just a hotkey to connect the others the same way. Or perhaps I didn't understand what you mean ;) (Note: I'm the one who did this video)
Awesome!
Total Awesomeness…
This is great to see the demonstration! Even though I'm familiar with Lychee, I didn't even know about the right-click-on-a-support menu.

Great video. Recently got Lychee Pro for resin printing and your videos are a great way to learn. 5 stars.
Damn, this is awesome. I can't believe it's been out since March and I'm just watching it now :0
Fan supports with the two hotkeys are so easy. I had no idea! Thanks!~
Great if you found it useful 🥰
Been trying to work out how to do these fans for months now! Thanks so much
Fantastic I'm new to 3d printing and wondered how this was achieved thank you so much
Execlent Thomas! Thanks for the video!
Very nice, big fan of the mini supports and this just gets easier and easier to do manual supports! Thanks!
Well this was fantastic, thank you

Exactly the assistance I was looking for. Thanks.
Merci, don't worry about your English its better than most native speakers 😉.
Thanks :)
I kinda enjoyed the french accent ^.^
Thank you for making this video, very helpfull!
Greetings from the neighborhood (Germany)
It was rather pleasant. I especially like the word soo-port
Not hating, I couldn't speak french if my life depended on it.
Very useful feature and good tutorial.
Thank you so much for this guide! :) and btw, your french accent is awesome!
This demo is amazing, you guys rock. Cheers from sunny San Jose, CA!

C'est vraiment intéressant.. et je découvre ça 6 mois après ...
Great stuff, great slicer. Keep it up Lychee team!
Awesome. Your video was Tres Bon.
Great stuff you guys.
On the Mac Ctrl + Option doesn't work for me. What is the Mac equivalent of these short cut keys?
Thanks for getting me one step closer to being a lychee master! On another note are you guys going to support the new chituboards like the mars 3?
If Chitubox company provides a free SDK, yes.
@@Lychee3d thank you for the reply! So if I wanted to get a new printer, and b didn’t want to use chitubox, what printers can I get?

EllaArt is no longer on Patreon, do you know where she is putting his models now? Thank you!
She merged -her- patreon with another one, now under the name of Nomnom Figures. You can find her models on CGTraders

Why doesn't automatic support generation take advantage of mini supports?
Will lychee support spherical support end soon?
It already support this feature, in the Pro version (Break point slider in the Tips tab)

Option+CTRL to add minis and Option+Shift to switch to Continuity mode
Is there no way to have a spherical tip?
You can have sphere-type tips, in the Pro version, le "Break Point" slider, and its value needs to be higher than the tip value.
