The bigger fault is the big guns for the astros are NOT hitting worth a darn!!! Yordan has forgotten how to hit a baseball, or he's hurt. Bregman, his attention is too much on his side businesses and endorsements, and has no fire left for baseball. Tucker, he's really not clutch at all. He's a Stat padder. The team needs a spark guy and a clutch hitter to, maybe, get them going.

For me season is over until they fire Dana Brown and Joe Espada…
The team isn’t playing great baseball, but this started when you ripped apart your whole bullpen just to bring Hader… which we didn’t need… last season we were lacking in starters not in bullpen and somehow this idiot let go three of our best relievers just to bring Hader…
Regarding Espada… I can’t blame him for the bad start… I mean I even felt bad for him because having to lead a team without bullpen is terrible (now we don’t have starters, bullpen OR CLOSERS) but this guy making so many bad decisions on the lineup this far in the season… he keeps benching dubon every single time he can… he let Bregman fourth for so many games … the batting order is so over the place…
Btw… when singleton stops batting which will happen sooner or later… let me remind you that Brown lost the chance of bringing Luis Arraez almost for free… because I don’t f…ing know what the hell os that guy thinking every single day but how to destroy a team that was working just fine and just needed some reinforcements on the starting pitchers… now we don’t have pitching… we will need to figure out who will replace Bregman… who will be out 1st baseman … and in really sure that brown is such an idiot that will let go Tucker…

Literally everything is going terribly. Starting pitching, relief pitching, hitting, management from Espada, roster construction specifically pitchers with Dana. Advisor Bagwell. And Jim Crane let it all happen. Everybody. Everything. They all suck. Veryyyyy curious to see Crane's adjustment to this disaster, he doesn't strike me as a guy that likes his business going poorly.

@@greglittle6471espada is first because is the easiest to let go… and even though he has some responsibility regarding April and may losses the core of our decay was Dana Brown ripping apart our bullpen to bring Hader… every single Astros fan that saw our season last year would know that we were lacking in starting pitchers NOT RELIEVERS… I agree that baker had to go… he made some terrible decisions in game 6 and 7th that costs us the pass to the final … but bringing Hader when we needed everything but another closer has to be the dumbest decision I’ve seen by a GM in the last decade

Astros had a good little run but there are great teams that are inevitable. Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox are among those teams. In other words, these who the Astros are and things are back to normal lol

HI all, i hope you read this post with understanding: in 2020 when the cheating scandal came to light, the "Bill James" sabermetic gurus looked into how much the cheating affected baseball. The gurus came to the conclusion that astros would have a huge advantage from the cheating until a divisional foe knocks the astros out, and then the astros advantage would be over, but also that the astros would fall off the table bad. I would not have believed it but it looks like it is happening, especially losing to the rangers, division foe.

Sometimes you are, in my opinion, too quick to judge but HOW COME do I personally NEVER feel any confidence when ANY Astros’ pitcher gets up on the mound? Doesn’t matter if it’s Verlander, Pressly, H brown, JP France, Abreu, Hader, Montero, Valdez et al.
For years and years I-we expected at least a reasonable performance by MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYERS, better than average, I might add.
But now, at least for me, there is little confidence regardless of inning, situation, etc.
It is a similar situation with hitters.
I now just EXPECT Bregman, Alvarez, etc to FAIL but that is only half the story. The entire lineup is GROSSLY deficient with runners-runners-on-base.
These truths do NOT speak to the Astros now being a mediocre team.
To explain this season to-date as being the end of an era and now it is time to think about selling is basically just papering over the mass “hypnosis” of this team.
The role of manager Espada in this debacle should be front and center and it has nothing to do with batting order, pulling pitchers too late or too soon, not playing so-and-so, etc.
Remember. He is a “nice” guy and remember too that nice guys finish last.
I believe that “nice” people are often being “overly nice” because they are covering up (lying to themselves) about their own inner despair, inner guilt, inner defeatism. The result is highly conflicting inner beliefs.
You are seeing this in today’s Houston Astros.
I have been following them since 1962. Truly, I have never seen anything like this. total disastrous collapse of a very good baseball team.
I would venture to say there has never been in modern baseball history, will say since the playoffs began in 1969, this kind of utterly unpredictable disastrous play on the field. We are near 1/3 of the season.
And NOBODY saw anything remotely like this coming. Nobody at MLB, nobody at ESPN, nobody at Fox sports, nobody in any media in ANY of the 30 MLB markets.
Virtually EVERYONE saw Astros in post season, most saw them winning the west and probably half saw them making it to ALCS.
Again player moves won’t solve this problem.
    Acquisitions won’t.
Espada must be spiritually confronted for the zombification of the (very talented) Houston Astros.

Not going to lie. I’m enjoying this but I do feel Astro’s fans pain. It’s hard when your team goes a complete 180. I do believe they will be on top again. Do you think they should go after Soto in the offseason? Can you imagine an outfield with Soto and Tucker? Let Bregman go,

Bro, the problem is that our finances are destroyed… the Hader signing letting go our best relievers destroyed the whole pitching core…
The income is going to drop drastically and in pretty sure they didn’t have that forecasted at the beginning of the season… because no one is gonna go to the stadium…
      Now we have many problems…
      1. our GM .. has to be one of the most retarded persons on the league..
      2. Our manager
      3. Relievers
      4. Starting Pitchers
      5. 3rd and 1st baseman
In that order… Rn Juan soto couldn’t do anything… somehow this idiot lost the chance of signing Arraez almost for free and padres got him…

Bro Baker did terrible… he pretty much cost the 6th and 7th game… don’t you remember that he brought JP France having urquidy on the bullpen… let Texas score 4 RUNS and the brought urquidy when the game was over… Baker is the responsible of the WORST comebacks in baseball history with Cubs and Giants… he is a great guy… a great attitude… but without a team as stacked up as the Astros were in 2021 and 2022 and even 2023 he would NEVER won a world series…
This team is destroyed on his core because you traded your whole relievers which were the best on the league for one guy who can’t even close a game without giving up 1 run at least…
Dusty would probably been right now worse than espada… Dusty has terrible decisions regarding whether to let or no a pitcher in the field… at least espada knows when to pull them off… espada is terrible making a lineup… so don’t… let dusty on his retirement… just bring a manager that isn’t like espada or baker
