I still had faith in Verlander because even when he was bad he wasn’t THIS bad. Meanwhile when Arrighetti is bad he looks like this. The fact that both of them look like this makes me think that they need to make Blanco the fourth starter in the playoffs.

The immediate question is, Will Verlander be one of 4 starters in postseason? Should he be a middle reliever? If he is one of the starters, JV should be 4th starter. Especially if he pitches badly next turn.

Texans offense is going to be nasty when they reach their peak potential and they were great today I was very impressive with today's game. On the road vs division rival and we get a huge division win. I'll take it texans will only get better If we have a consistent run game then thats exactly what we need to be an elite offense we could have won by a larger margin Defense was good outside of some chunk plays but I am concerned that safties and CBs got beat and Colts WR were wide open im confident Demeco will fix that front 7 was good and again this team will get better A win, no injuries, beat division rival this was the best opening season win we could ask for

I’d like to say this about Valdez, but before I do, I am a big Astro fan been watching them since they’re conception in 1962 went to a few of the games with my daddy that year looked right and saw the construction of Astrodome. So Val has been very wishy-washy in the past perhaps that could be the reason he gets a fair amount of criticism because for me the truth is this man has a enormous talent, and in the past, he has struggled to rain in that talent is control is sometimes good, and sometimes not so good. His emotions are on his sleeve, which affects his control and pitching that being said I feel that maturity has brought Valdez to the pinnacle of pitching. Right now, his stuff is as good as virtually almost anyone around! I’m not sure who the candidates for Cy Young R but Valdez right now has the best stuff in the league that I have seen so I think this is the wave of the future. I think he is locked in now and will show us and bring to fruition. The talent that we all knew was and is there!!! Go Stros

That was the 2nd worst start next to Brown against the Royals early in the season. Secondly game is 3-0 if Pena doesn’t mess up on defense to get the 3rd out in the first inning. We probably could’ve got back into that game and Aragetthi would’ve got shelved early. Defense has to step up as well

I'm a huge Tulane fan....so I can be objective.....Coach Fritz has a very BORING offense and offensive philosophy......he must run the dive play right over the center 10 times a game.....drove me nuts......but worst of all he tampers with the offense and he's a terrible offensive mind. He would rather lose than throw 40 times a game... . seriously....... he's a run freak........ I think you guys will see what I mean as the season and years progress....... he's like RC Slocum was at Texas A&M.....as far as offense is concerned.......good luck!!!

I remember in 1988/89 hearing that Nolan Ryan was finished. He signed with the Rangers @ 42 & pitched his 6th no hitter @ 43 years, then pitched his 7th no hitter @ 44. Also in 1993, punched 26 year old Robin Ventura in the head when he was 46. Deja vu all over again I will always be grateful to Mr. Verlander for 2017.

As a former pitcher, I can tell you this; Give Ronel 2 rotations off. Maybe 3. Let him start in the last series of the season, so all the rest of our SP will be a day fresher for a playoff run. Rest can bring Ronel back. Doesn't need to be 6 months. Juat a few starts.
