I've attended many speech and occupational therapies with my Amazing gifted son who has these beautiful super powers and unique gifts. He is Autistic and the best choice I ever made in life and best gift life has ever given me. I feel so blessed to have him.
We've also attended together many different groups, workshops, classes etc and although some of the advice given and shared was useful in ways, I still felt all of these were not right for us because the approach and way it was given was as if my son was viewed as unable/incapable and I don't like labels especially the word "disabled" along with "special needs" because I feel it makes them feel not good enough or like something is wrong with them, and like they are being judged type thing. I felt there was never enough encouragement, recognition, appreciation, encouragement, and as if they were trying to force my son to be someone completely different to who he is, like trying to fit him into the same box as everyone else which is why I chose to do my own research...
Last night after son had fallen asleep, during my research, that's when I found you. I can't even describe how much happier I've become since that moment.
Finally, someone who understands my son and I. Finally. A lot of what you've said in the videos are the same beliefs as me. I'm just not as experienced, knowledgeable and understanding, which is absolutely perfect! That makes me so happy. Finally, I can look up to someone and receive valuable advice and support from an Amazing soul like you who can help both of us grow and develop in the way you said, through celebration. Yes! Yes! Yes! This is exactly what I've been looking for over a long period of time and finally, there you are! That hidden diamond.
I would love to receive support to celebrate my son's milestones and focus more on the positives where there is no judgement, no criticism, no expectations but to support my son grow and develop as the Amazing person he is, and have fun while doing it.
I celebrate all my sons achievements and eveb try to make simple daily tasks fun to make life as exciting and fun as possible.
Thankyou so much for sharing your videos. I am so grateful and so happy. You truly are Amazing! And out of all the therapists we have met, I can honestly say you are top of the top. You are so Amazing!!! Thankyou so much!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️

As persons, we are all different and develop at our own pace. We all have our own strengths (superpowers as I like to say 😉). I feel persons should be appreciated and loved as they are for who they are only if they are not hurting others. Persons shouldn't be made to feel less or expected to be a certain way because a group of people or whoever decided they think it's right. I feel society has been brainwashed into these expectations that are not realistic or right. I always say that it's our differences that make us who we are, it's our differences that make life exciting because if everyone was the same, life would be boring and dull. It's our differences that make life exciting. With differences brings joy and excitement, snd makes learning do much more fun because we van spend quality time with different people from different backgrounds, cultures, different personalities, beliefs and share, teach and learn from each other about all those beautiful differences we all have that make us unique and who we are.
Any person who has what society labels as special needs or being disabled is perfect the way they are and still a human like the rest of us, growing and developing from a seed into a beautiful flower. It's okay to be our own colours and our own designs, because when we all stand together in the garden, together we are all just as beautiful and unique in our own way.
I really love how you mention celebrating because celebrating achievements and more I feel provides so much encouragement and allows children to be reminded of how truly loved and appreciated they are for just being them.
I find that the reason many adults struggle to achieve their goals and dreams is because in their childhood years, so much was expected of them, and there was and still is too much judgement, expectations, criticism etc instead of celebrating them.
Thankyou so much for your videos. You are truly Amazing!!! ❤️❤❤❤⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️

Thanks Ankita for your question. Autism isn't something we cure. It's a difference in brain type and one that we can work to better understand and support. For autistic children, we can help by giving them more tools to communicate, and adjust strategies to support their learning needs. As they get older we can work to help them better understand and advocate for themselves.
