Love the pencil skirt.I am a baby boomer and grew up in the hippie era although I wasn't a hippie. We made these skirts and also handbags out of jeans.Brought back great memories.I am from Texas so equal time for the Texas Rangers lol. Be blessed. Looking forward to your next video.
Great job turning jeans into a skirt, my 95 year old mom has been turning pants into skirts for years, she loves to sew...tfs...continued blessings...🌷🌷🌷...Blondie is as adorable as ever💖...
I agree greetings from Oz you’re welcome at ours any time ❤️. You are more than worthy of a meet and greet ! You’re so natural and warm it’s no wonder people are interested to say hello . Perhaps a Dainty Afternoon tea would be a good thing to do ! . Here in Australia we appreciate genuine down to earth people . I’m sure that’s the same in Canada 🇨🇦
Blue Jays games are great! We went on a bus trip from Kitchener (an hour's drive away) with my son's junior baseball team about 19 years ago. It was a blast and a beautiful day! ... there are a ton of stores in Toronto and I'm sure your friends can direct you to the specific ones you want to see! ... you're skirt looks great on you! I know you're going to have the best time on your trip! 😀💕
Ontario Canada is my home. I live in the norther western part of Ontario but recently was in Toronto. It’s a fantastic city. Enjoy and Welcome to Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️
Cool...so glad you’re coming to Canada! The fall here is stunning...depending on timing, you have to go slightly north (about 90 minutes) to see the fall colours in muskoka!
The skirt is stunning on you! How did you learn to make the skirt? Did you see it on RUclips or did you figure it out on your own? You are just so smart and creative! You are beautiful!
Enjoy your Holiday vacation!! The Jean skirt turned out fabulous as always. Everything you try make turns to gold. Our family from Northern Derry are always popping over to Spain, Turkey or London I'm so jealous. Fly away little Lady and film 4 us that way we can come along.
Yes please we would love a travel vlog. Love your skirt. Great idea. I have always heard that everything in Canada is very expensive. Maybe you could set the record straight on that. Have a wonderful time!
My husband and sons are HUGE baseball fans. I have tried really hard to get into it but just could not. I CAN say that going to a live game is a lot of FUN😀💖 I am excited about this project because I cannot wear jeans anymore (due to chronic pelvic pain, I know TMI.) I think I might use some fabric from my stash instead of the legs of the jeans. I hope you have a WONDERFUL trip!!⚾✈🎉🎉
What a fantastic idea! I love love the skirt. I was given several pair of jeans in all kinds of colours but like you, I don't wear jeans. Now I know what to do with them! Your skirt is so flattering for your shape. Just gorgeous but your style is gorgeous to begin with. Have a wonderful time on your trip! Canada is such a fun place to visit. Yes, take an extra suitcase to bring back craft supplies. I never plan ahead even though I know I won't be able to pass on so many things & end up buying one to haul it all home. Thank you for another fun video! I lay in wait for Thursdays just to see what you've come up with.
I started one of these skirts years ago... but now I’m encouraged to finish it!! Hope you have a wonderful time in Canada!! You *know* we love your travel vlogs!! Can’t wait to see what you get up to!!❤️
Cute outfit! Very clever. You'll love Toronto and surrounding area, you'll be blown away by the Blue Jays stadium, it's amazing. Shopping of course is compulsory but prices are so much cheaper even in the "real" stores lol! Your friends will steer you right, they know better than anyone. The colours of the trees will be awesome! Have fun little one xx
Thank you so much for the tutorial! I intuitively knew that you can make such a skirt from your pants, but didn't know how to put it together. I'll be practicing on the pile of old jeans that I have here. So excited! 😁 🙌👍
Yay!! Your going to have an amazing time!! You must have dinner at the CN tower! You wont have any trouble finding great coffee shops, thrift stores or craft shops. There are sooo many here, as well as lots of things to do. Please vlog I would like to see what you decided to do in my city. I hope you enjoy your trip to my hometown
In Ontario you must go to : Niagara on the lake, you will love it. And when in Canada it is a must to come to Quebec city, my hometown. It is about 8 hours from Toronto. It is the oldest city (1608) in North America. The old part of the city is like Europe. Near Quebec city there is an island called ''Grosse Ile'' (Big Island), also known as ''The Irish Memorial National Historic Site''. This island was the site of an immigration for Irish immigrants coming to Canada to escape the Great Famine and cholera epidemic (1845-1849). Where ever you go, welcome to Canada! Enjoy everything!
We have several thrift stores that are really good near where we live in Texas I was able to get a pair of jeans for a $1.98 and turn them into a skirt, I don't wear Jean's either but I love a good jean skirt
Love the skirt, that will be my next project. I have a pair of white jeans that I really don’t wear... Have a great visit to Canada, maybe your next trip you can come to the east coast and visit us here in Newfoundland....it will almost be like your still at home......lol. You could stay at my ‘little house’, that’s next to my home,it’s cozy and quaint.... Hope the weather will cooperate with your stay. I visit Toronto a couple of times and enjoyed my stay each time. If you can get a chance to visit Niagara Falls you should, you won’t be disappointed.❤️🤗🇨🇦
That Blondie 🐈! lol. That's a great DIY. I have jeans that don't fit anymore and probably would as a skirt. (Same here, jeans skirts are too short) Happy you are coming this side of the pond, my country, but not in my hometown 🙁. And like many, I would have loved to meet you in person.
GO Blue Jays!! I'm in Ontario, and went to my first Jays game this summer. I'm not really into baseball, but still had a fun time. They play fun things on the big screen, and sing songs and cheers and stuff, so it's more than just the game. For thrift stores, I'd say look for Value Village or Telize or Salvation Army or Good Will, those are the big ones. And there are bound to be other smaller "vintage" shops in the area too. I'm pretty sure the Sorry Girls do live in Toronto, so maybe you'll see them out and about! Have fun!! ;)
I absolutely LOVE all of your videos!! I don't get on much but I follow you here and Instagram and you're just a fun and refreshing part of my days. Thank you for that. So, I have a request for a possible video. I would really love to see how you style your dresses and skirts for winter? How you keep your legs warm? Do you cover them with stockings or panty hose? What kind of shoes/boots do you wear? Types of coats to wear with dresses? Accessories you add? Things like that. I'm also preggers with my 3rd child and looking for ways to look stylish, cute and dolled up this winter. I love the idea of skirts and dresses for this pregnancy but I am also not a fan of the cold lol. Thanks in advance if this ever becomes a video!! You are the best. Xoxo
Hi sweetheart, Luv the skirt and the cameos from Ms. Queenie. I wait for your blog from Canada too. And, I would love a meet and greet with you as well! You are very inspiring to the world! We need more Daintys and Queenies. Oxoxoxox
Loved the skirt and the cute top. Don’t forget to take a heavy cardigan with you because it can be quiet chilly 🥶 Anyway have a great time . 💃 Love you’re dear cat.
This is genius!I will try it for sure. The skirt looks very flattering I usually never get denim skirts cause they're always so rough looking but this looks very nice.
Love your cutsey skirt you look so adorable. I'll be traveling to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland next week I'm so excited. Happy travels to you GO BLUE JAYS 🙌 love Ms. Blondie she's a love bug HUGS😘🐱🐾 🐦
There are several RUclipsrs that live in the Toronto area but my favorites are The Sorry Girls. You should reach out to them, if you haven't already and ask for some suggestions. Maybe do a collab video while you're there. 👍😊😊❤️
Gosh!!...it's like you can read my mind....had been hoping for this video from you.....your instructions always very clear and systematic.. You look awesome in your white pencil skirt and the bright blue Jersey top...👍🥰 Tqtq for sharing...💖💝
The skirt turned out beautifully. Very talented! I hope you do get a chance to maybe meet up with the Sorry Girls....they definitely live in or near Toronto, as I recognize some of the places they’re shopping at....mostly in the west-end of Toronto, like Queen Street West, Dundas Street West, Roncesvalles, The Junction...and there are some nice vintage shops in Kensington Market, which is a huge area, accessible from Dundas Street West and/or College Street West, between Spadina Avenue and Bathurst Street. Look for Goodwill, Salvation Army, Value Village and other second-hand stores like that around Toronto. Spadina Avenue is also home to Chinatown, which has loads of deals, including Canadian memorabilia. Have fun, Catherine!💗
Baseball games are nine innings long. The visiting team bats first and the home team bats last. Each batter gets up to 3 strikes on the third he is out and up to 4 balls then they get to walk to base on the fourth ball. Umpires call the balls and strikes. The Blue Jays are in the American League they are allowed a Designated Hitter (dh). So they let the pitcher work on pitching. The dh does not play a fielding position. The minor leagues also use the dh. Not the National League! Home field rules apply. There is so much more but thank you for uploading you pants to skirt transformation! Go Cubs!
You may want to tuck a small pillowcase in your bag for game day. Stadium seats are sometimes quite dirty, and you cd sit on the pillowcase to keep your lovely skirt nice.
Love how your skirt turned out . Welcome to Toronto I was born there I live in Burlington now it about 30min from Toronto. Have a awesome time when you come and enjoy the game ❤️🌹
Catherine.....Value Village, they are everywhere. But if you can head to Kensington Market and Queen St. Some beautiful craft Boho, thrift artisan shops. I hope you enjoy the game and all of your visit. Catherine
My cat is exactly the same! When i'm reading she nudges the book out of the way! She will also sit on my husband's computer desk and lie on the keyboard! Love your videos!
Thrift stores in Toronto. Goodwill, Salvation Army, Talize, Value Village , Missions. Sites. CN Tower, Toronto Island and ferry. , Art Gallery of Ontario, Royal Ontario Museum, Ontario Place. Shopping. Yorkdale Mall, Queen Street West. Toronto is a multicultural city with tons of world cuisine. Try China Town. Toronto Raptor's, our basketball team just won the NBA Championship. Toronto Maple Leafs ( hockey) are in pre season games and Blue Jay's are terrific to see. Don't forget to take the TTC ( our subway). Welcome to Toronto.
Hi Catherine, great transformation. You are inspirational and great idea to make this skirt. Turned out extremely well.Great your going to Canada, I hope you have a super time. I like the colour of your shirt goes well with pencil skirt!!! Well accomplished as you are a whizz with sewing machine!!! Blonde is so cute. Thank you so very much.
Your skirt turned out sooo pretty! It looked great on you with your jersey! You’ll look beautiful for this game! I think I could actually make the skirt! Thank you for sharing!
Nice job on the skirt. Enjoy Canada, and the baseball game. Haven't been to Toronto in years but as you will be so close, you might want to look into visiting Niagara Falls, the Canadian side of the Falls is the most beautiful (and I am an American saying this). Safe journeys
Please vlog your Canadian trip! I live very close to Toronto, work there in fact. Would love to see what you get up to. The weather is just starting to change and Fall is beautiful here.
Love the Blue Jays Jersey your wearing! It looks so nice with the pencil skirt 🙂 Hello from Toronto 👋 I hope you have a lovely time in Canada and a great time at the Baseball game 💗 P.S. I absolutely love watching your travel vlogs! xx
You and Blondie did a wonderful job! You look adorable as always! Also, be a Mets fan for New York! Have fun on your trip!❤️ Love your travel vlogs and looking forward to Christmas 🎄diy after your Autumn cozy videos! 💕
I hope you enjoyed the Blue Jay's game while in Toronto. I love baseball, I've been to a few games here in Winnipeg, they are part of a lesser league, though. Your skirt is very beautifully done, it looks lovely on you. I watched your Toronto travel vlog, your photography is the best I've ever seen on RUclips.
Oh my goodness Catherine! Your skirt turned out so cute! I'm really glad that you had extra pause on hand because it didn't look like you could do it by yourself without Blondie! What a girl she's so cute. This is really neat and it's relatively simple to do. I wonder about adding lace to the back panel of the gene in the Little Triangle patch do you think that would look good? Hugs to you always your friend Willow XXX
Thanks. You know I'm addicted to your videos. I really love everything that you make it's just wonderful. I do share your videos a lot on Facebook and I wish more people would subscribe because you need to have more of a fan base and you're absolutely brilliant! I'll tell my friends to make sure that they subscribe. Hugs to you my friend. Oh by the way it's cloudy day 14 degrees here in Victoria but I absolutely love it and feels like fall it's wonderful. What's Ireland like?
Yay!!! Love the skirt, and ❤️ from Toronto. Aww, we'd love a meet and greet. 😊 There's the usual CN Tower, Niagra Falls ~ High Park is really nice too with the cherry trees. Dunno why I'm suggesting a Homesense when you've got them everywhere, lol but I enjoy the one inside a Winners on Yorkville outside Bay Station. ✌️ (cute stuff as usual)
PM the Sorry Girls, they do know the best thrift stores, am sure they would love to help. Also Kelsey took that trip to Ireland so she might want to meet up!!!
Hi Catherine--your skirt turned out great! You might want to check out a Canadian TV show called the Murdoch Mysteries. It's a great, binge-worthy show and is set in late 1800s-early 1900s Toronto. They film in a lot of great locations in and around the Toronto area. Could be fun to see some historical sites. Just a thought. Have a great time in Canada. Safe travels to you. 🙂✈🇨🇦
Wow!!!!!! how cool is that! you're coming to Canada, I live in Montréal, which is the French part of Canada, you didn't mention Montréal, so I guess that you won't be coming to this city, I would LOVE to meet you!!!!!! and I would have places to suggest to visit. Toronto I don't know that much. Many of the people who come from Europe find our prices (Canada) much cheaper than Europe, so yes you might need to bring your suitcase half empty at least for things you might like to buy here, plus you have tax deduction for tourists when you leave the country! I'm going to Portugal mid-October and because of your video from your trip to Portugal, I'm going to stay in the same area where you stayed, try to go to the flea market that you went to and Sintra, not sure how Sintra would go for me, but I'll let you know. BIG hug from Montréal! Do blog please and show us where you go and what you do! lots of love Catherine! P,S all the area around Niagara Fall, Canadian side is beautiful, might be cooler that the city and might be windy at this time of the year.

I am so happy to hear the weather is fab! Is it warm? I have been lucky in Ireland with the weather this week but it has gotten much colder x
Have a great time in Toronto. I live on the east coast of Canada in Nova Scotia. We have a beautiful country. Enjoy your visit.
As always you make my day a little brighter. Sometimes its okay to be a sheep. No worries just going with the flow .

Just been looking back at your other stuff. Love your personality and your enthusiasm 👌
Baseball games are played rather slowly. It's fun to watch, tho. Enjoy your holiday!
Love it👍 I don't know if I am confident enough to cut up a pair of jeans
I love it, what a great way to recycle your jeans, ill tell my daughters they will love the idea :)) thank you for a great video
Thanks Lorraine x
Love the Blue Jays Jersey your wearing! It looks so nice with the pencil skirt 🙂 Hello from Toronto 👋 I hope you have a lovely time in Canada and a great time at the Baseball game 💗 P.S. I absolutely love watching your travel vlogs! xx
You and Blondie did a wonderful job! You look adorable as always! Also, be a Mets fan for New York! Have fun on your trip!❤️ Love your travel vlogs and looking forward to Christmas 🎄diy after your Autumn cozy videos! 💕
Blondie deciding that she is the star of this video now!
LOL, she always is, wait and you see her in next weeks video x
I hope you enjoyed the Blue Jay's game while in Toronto. I love baseball, I've been to a few games here in Winnipeg, they are part of a lesser league, though. Your skirt is very beautifully done, it looks lovely on you. I watched your Toronto travel vlog, your photography is the best I've ever seen on RUclips.
That is so kind, thank you x
Yay Torontonian here!!!
Yay! X
Hey! Yes, great idea with some lace, that would be super girly and feminine, thanks so much for watching x
Love your Jersey. I have one as well.
Blue Jay's are my team..
This is amazing! What a way to upcycle recycle! Love love how simple it is. Well done xx
Nice
Aw thanks Roseann, thanks for watching x
I would say I can't believe you didn't own any jeans, but that's about right on brand. 😊
Awww love your Toronto Blue Jay's top, and love your skirt. Love from Toronto.
Great job! Love your style!
Thanks Kristina x
Great job, super cute!!!
Great idea skirt look's lovely on you, have a lovely weekend. 😊 x
PM the Sorry Girls, they do know the best thrift stores, am sure they would love to help. Also Kelsey took that trip to Ireland so she might want to meet up!!!
Aw thank you for suggesting that! X
Great skirt, and have a fantastic holiday
That is very good. You look so cute.😅 Very flattering to your curves. The blue is great color on you too. Have a fabulous Holiday.😊
Your so talented.😊
Wow!!!!!! how cool is that! you're coming to Canada, I live in Montréal, which is the French part of Canada, you didn't mention Montréal, so I guess that you won't be coming to this city, I would LOVE to meet you!!!!!! and I would have places to suggest to visit.
A good way of reusing old jeans.
Nice skirt 👍 And Blondie is really such good helper! 😻
So simple! Love it. 🥰
Thanks Amy! X
Welcome!
