Try using a french press coffee pot for squeezing out the extract. An aeropress also would work for smaller quantities.

Magic butter makes one thst screw onto a mason jar with a very fine metal filter you can wash
Tried with a french press and it was not a good idea, probably great if you dont grind the mushrooms to powder👏

Im trying to do some extractions and I could see in your video that an ultrasonic cleaner can be used to speed up the process...I would like to know where I can find more information about its use in the double extraction process...thank you very much for share such valuable information!!!
Honestly I don't recommend this technique anymore, check the video on the soxhlet!
An easy way to fill is a small vynal line and siphon. I set the bottles in a plastic tray and hold the bottle low until almost full then raise it up when full, remove hose and switch bottles. Just set the jar of medicine up a little higher than your tray. I do know you guys use that confection funnel thingy but I don't have one of those yet.
I have been trying to get people to use the ultrasonic cleaners for tinctures colloidal, fermentation, fertilizers and pesticides. Do check you airflow though. I bought six different models and all were under supplied and had to remove some venting bars

Love your work. I’ve had some golden teacher in an ultrasonic cleaner for way more than 80 mins and a week in the jar itself. It’s not going dark. Is this a rule? It has got a little darker but only to khaki not dark brown.

How long should you dehydrate turkey tail for? Ive not dehydrated it before and I'm not sure when it would be done due to how hard it is normally lol?
This video was very well done and very thorough compared to other videos I've seen going over extractions and tinctures. Question: Instead of using something like Vodka or Everclear to extract the fat soluble compounds could I use an oil (for ex: Blackseed oil)? I know this would be considered an oil infusion and not a tincture at this point but wondering whats more effective for extracting the fat soluble compounds in mushrooms, alcohol or oil?
Just today I found out from a top expert in the field that it depends on what mushroom you're extracting as far as the best method to use. For example I was surprised to find out that maitake and turkey tail are best extracted with hot water! Apparently they don't even need that alcohol part
Is it possible to extract multiple mushrooms in one alcohol solution? Was planning on Reishi, Shiitake, Lions Mane and Turkey Tail double extraction….can I powder them and extract at once? Should be ok I guess? Love the video!!! Thanks for the tips!

Psilo question but how much mushroom matter would you recommend to double extract. After watching your videos I went and got the gear, that was the easy part... been trying article after article and keeping hitting dead ends if you could share a little info I would be ever grateful :) keep being weird.
If you want to extract well: purchase a potato ricer and nut-milk bag works really well. I do liquor infusions for cocktails and that works the best 💪

What have got switched to in just 2 weeks? I’ve read you need 28kHz to break the cell wall, the ultrasonic you recommend is 40kHz. Do you have any info on that?

i would only recommend using alcohol if you intend to microdose, but psilocybin is water soluble and can be extracted into water

It would seem that some pretty simple, yet controlled testing runs would give us usable guidelines (and expectations) on the impact of various techniques. While the specific results would contain some variation, the trends (if there were any) should surface clearly.
Tip! Get “the vegan plant milk maker” instead of an expansive press. Works like a charm

is it not "better" to shock-freeze them (for to use the shape of the water when it becomes ice) to break through the chitin and then to put them in alcohol, so you save time 1. and 2. eventual bacteria & fermentation ?
