Well I'm sure he was stronger back then but he really is more of a military leader threat.
He relies on his Agile skills and His resources.
He is said to be intelligent but he didn't show much of that in the movie
Looking at the whip handle, i think it's pretty clear that he used a Warbat to do it.

I don't think the crystal on the end of Skar Kings whip is from Hollow Earth. I think it was a crystal from Shimos own body. I think it's just like the Goji plate in Kongs axe.
How old is the Skar king ? I mean jesus he must be 100s of years old by the story from the hyragliphics carved into the stone wall in the hollow earth. I didnt think the apes could live that long.

@thetraveler7368 In the monarch TV series ya for sure but Jesus the time the crew from Kong x Godzilla new empire spent down there with bringing back Mothra and the fight between the 4 titans then a bit if time would have passed on the surface.. 2 or 3 years passed didn't it when in the TV series they went down to get 2 of there friends out and brought back the mother & grandmother who's been gone for decades/weeks

Godzilla isnt a normal Gojira, maybe as less gojiras there are the more powerful the remaining become. Him being the only one left, probably pushed his power to higher limits, or plot armor.

Thus the first phase of the Monsterverse ends, with the Grand titan war finally ending with the young Ape suko freeing the ice titan shimo and thus killing the tyrannical Skar King and the Kong empire finally beeing freed and now under a ruler, not in need of more territory and finally creating piece between the King of the Monsters and the great Apes, now we will be ready for the titans to confront their new foes.
Scar king didn’t kill Godzilla lol… Godzilla trapped all those kongs down hollow earth on his own as stated in the film. It takes multiple kongs to take down a Godzilla. There is no where that says 1 kong killed a Godzilla.

I think the Godzilla species whom fought with the Kongs aren't as strong as the modern Godzilla because there's no radiation in the hollow Earth for the Godzillas to absorb, in order to get stronger and bigger. It would make sense of Scar King and the Kongs might've killed few Godzillas.

People says Skar King is weak. This is my toughts regards of Skar King with the lores combine.
As Dr Andrews reads the Iwi text is describe "In the beginning the titans were live in harmony both the surface and Hollow Earth" take in mind, the term "harmony" leads to one question, how will Ghidorah will fit in this lore? The answer is comes from the conversation in KOTM. Dr Chen shows all the artifacts, scriptures and few paintworks pointing out that the ancient people refuse to write about them and their existence leading Dr Serizawa conclusion "as it was ment to be forgoten" this can be describe as well at the Iwi tribe in Hollow Earth, since they known both worlds are one. The Iwi refuse to write about Ghidorah because they refuse to tell a tale about it. I theorised this event was after the fight with Ghidorah that locked away in Antartica. That is why it describe they lived in harmony after the defeat of Ghidorah.
One day, a great and evil ape Skar King rise and begin to wage war againts the entire titans hungers for power to be king. Leading legions of his army almost killing every titan or enslaved them to built his empire. And the comics Birth of Kong I believe the moment Kong was born was when Skar King leading Skullcrawlers as his troops to Skull Island due to the titan war and raid one of the Kong's temple to steal their weapons and capture Shimo as well. From there Godzilla took action by overthrow Skar King and his legions and other Kong species with him as punishment. Witch is the reason why both Kong and Godzilla are ancient rival due to Skar King rebellion amd wage war leading the entire species close to extincion.
This is just my theories and toughts after I watched the movie. What your guys tought about this.

The first Titan war was caused by Ghidorah, the second was caused by The Gojira that ate a star, and the third was caused by Skar King

Maybe, but Skar king only killed a less powerful og Gojira species ( the one in kongs thronw room where he found tha axe is what comes in mind).. Scar King himself cant hold a candle to the Gojira of today, just as Kong never had a real chans vs him. I mean Godzilla didnt even seem to have a problem with Shimo even with the size difference. But in terms of smarts and battle iq he more than likley used other titans that were much stronger than him to do his bidding.

Cool theory but very unlikely as the movie said Godzilla imprisoned skar king and his whole Kong army on that side of the hollow earth by him self so I doubt skar king would be able to kill anything above a skull crawler or a warbat

I think it wasn't Godzilla they said Skar King went war with the one who ate a star which is none other than Zo Zla Halawa AKA Space Godzilla that's why Skar King wasn't shocked after seeing Kong brought Godzilla with him. But I think Godzilla did fought Skar King but Space Godzilla also played part just like Godzilla vs Ghidorah ancient Antarctica fight for the kotm's crown it's been confirmed in a guide that Godzilla blasted Ghidorah out of the sky which led to the three headed demon fall to the frozen pits of Antarctica and quickly froze over due to ice age (It says Quickly froze over due to ice age and Shimo was the one who created ice age quickly) now Godzilla X Kong The New Empire official movie novelization leak said that Shimo was the one who froze Ghidorah accidentally so this might've what happened to Skar King and his army of Kongs so I'd say wait for more proof in future like Ghidorah's case

Well it was eons ago. Like millions of years. During that time, Skar King was just ruling the hollow earth trapped inside while Godzilla(who was probably weak as well back then) has been devouring radiations all these years and evolving and getting stronger and stronger. Kong is in his early adulthood (nearing prime) and has been fighting death battles since childhood. Gorillas are naturally stronger than the orangutans as well. So yeah Skar King might be weak in comparison now but he killed a weak Godzilla not a mighty one like the current Godzilla.
'Weak' is a relative term. Weak body does not mean Weak mind. And pardon the cliché but "brains over brawn" holds true.

I think the reason why Scar King gets beaten up by kong in the godzilla x kong the new empire because he is probably VERY VERY OLD, he fought Godzilla millions upon millions of years ago. Which makes sense why Kong is able to overpower Scar King and bring down to his knees in 1 hand. Even though Scar King is very old, he still able to fight Kong and is capable of making Kong injured. Imagine if Scar King was in his prime in Godzilla x Kong the new empire. And the Scar King doesn’t seem to use brute strength to fight, he seems to use his Agility and Skill to fight Kong which makes him a versatile opponent.

or maybe there was no first war and it was just attacks from kongs on godzilla specimen leading into the skar king vs the our godzilla one who is unlike the rest as his time in his home he had in king of the monsters that he would rest and bask in the read for millions of years changed his body to be better at adapting and changing (we see proof of this ability in gxk) but at some point he went into a rest without any radiation where he sat till the radiation of the nukes woke him leading to his much smaller stature till he consumed more rads to grow to his full power. perhaps other godzilla didnt have this adaptive ability and were only able to to use the radiation to fuel themselves like you would with food this left godzilla alone unkillable by the kongs and with their slaughter of his kind and others throwing off the balance and of expanding to even the surface he dealt with them. basically to sum up this super long explanation it wasnt two wars it was one with the overall actions of the kongs hunger leading to it their murder of these lesser godzilla and expansion lead to our godzilla who at this point would have been well into his changes from his lifestyle after the battle with ghidorah making him the true alpha doing his job you know almost like they said in the film but with some evidence based speculation
The wip is too long to be a Godzilla spine and it’s too thin to be a spine from a bigger Godzilla, it’s more likely to be a warbat spine or a different snake titan spine

What if that ape was the scar king and not kong, scar king is based on a chimpanzee while Kong is a Gorilla. Chimpanzees have the highest rate of inter species conflicts, while gorillas are literal pacifists it’s possible the chimp kongs started the war and were the aggressors

I believe skar king caused the war but wasn’t responsible for most gojira deaths unless he knew the mutos were a mortal enemy of the gojira and help incubate the mutos and got them on side to overthrow the gojira species

The Scar King should have gotten much more screen time. This movie felt more like Kong 2. Dont introduce a never seen before villian, give him 20 minutes of screen time then kill it off.
