Enzo Maresca's second game as Chelsea Football Club manager was somewhat of a disaster.
After a few bright moments early on, Chelsea CRUMBLED to Celtic.
Here is my reaction.
Celtic performance was very good indeed , played with speed and skill , Chelsea were slow and left acres space and couldn’t deal with Celtic wingers . Celtics OReily and Reo were miles ahead in midfield .
When we were playing Sanchez at the start of the last season, it was basically a promise that he would pass the ball to the other team at least once per match and we were lucky not to get punished for it most times. I do not know where people get this idea he has a ball playing ability from, he's an anxiety machine.
Swear this ball playing ability just comes from him called " Sanchez " and him being Spanish I guess.
There's a reason Steele replaced him at Brighton
Do you know those Two Points we dropped At Home to Arsenal with that stupid kick out from Sanchez
Yeah it’s absolutely disgusting that he’s back in goal. The same way it’s disgusting we keep players like Badashille and get rid of Trevor
The same goes for Badiashile and his non-existent ball-playing abilities
People think celtic are rubbish because they play in Scotland but they are actually a good team and have a lot of great players and great manager.
😂

Bro they're not good. They're like a similar level to Wolves or Nottingham Forest. That result was a disgrace.
Who else was laughing at the final whistle 😅💙

No choice but to laugh

@@santoy1000 Celtic joke very 4n1 😂😆
Celtic played better than us, the were clinical in front of goal. So hats off to them, they played better than us. As long as we can learn from this, and move forward in a positive way.
Can’t play pep’s system with slow defenders. Will get opened up every attack
Hail Hail
Marc Guiu is looking pretty good tbh. Been very impressed with him.
That’s one of the best signing we did this summer but I prefer Petrovic in goal …
@@nimrodaugust5092 He means the striker, not the new GK 😂
This team needs Guehi ASAP !!!! If the people making the decisions had any brain, that's where they should be spending their money not some teenage pimple popper who shows the slight ability to dribble.
@@youandme9569its the only exciting thing we have seen from pre season so far. Board wont sign anyone over the age of 23 either.
@@spiritualchakra2183 I know is the young striker from Barcelona but Sanchez does look solid in goal I prefer Petrovic
It's only preseason, it's only preseason, it's only preseason, it's only preseason (inhales copium)
Only time ahead will reveal everything that's underground
The players conditioning is terrible....
Why did we signed Casper when he was available? Such a reliable goalie
@@emmanuelk.tambwe2628Because he's not under 15 years of age.. Too old for the Chelsea creche.
Last year preseason lasted till December. Then they took off very very nicely only to be shut down again by the Eghbalis of the club. Would have liked to hear Poch's commentary of this match.
Poch made some mistakes last but he's a good experience manager at this level and he kept his cool and eventually got the team functioning, now we are starting from scratch again with an inexperienced manager....guys hold tight its going to be another rough season
I will say this now you can bookmark it If they sell anymore experienced players we are in trouble Gallagher and Chalobah must stay and play Do that and Sign Oshimsen we have a Top 4 chance but without Gallagher and Chalobah and Oshimsen It is a relegation battle with a team of Kids the Sack for Enzo and new manager to just keep us up 4th from Bottom final position
Gallagher off to spurs , Palmer off to Man Utd
Celtic have a team of fast-passing players and ninjas. The LWF who done nothing and went off injured, Maeda, is scary when he's fully fit. The 2nd fastest player at the last world cup, most sprints per game. The gumshields are due to the best player they have, Hatate, it is some kind of superstitious thing.
Ninjas 😂😂😂
The gum shields are b/c they're always getting elbowed in the face in Scotland, & it goes unpunished.
what did i just read? 😂
🥷 It was a condition to ensure they would survive in Glasgow. 🤣
@Saintathantwinpeaks well we do like our knifes in Glesga. 😄😄

Why not, you may be right about the owners keep on signing youngsters but to call them out for ‘selling homegrown players’ and ‘only signing players to sell for a profit’ is absurd especially as Roman used to always do that, so when Roman does it it’s ok but when Egbhali does it it’s not ok.
I’ll give you examples, in 21/22, Chelsea sold academy products, Abraham to Roma, Kurt Zouma to West Ham, Fikayo Tomori to Ac Milan and Andreas Christiansen left on a free to Barcelona. All academy players and all for a profit apart from Andreas Christiansen ,
in 19/20, Chelsea sold Ola Aina and Tomas Kalas both for a profit.
In 17/18, Nathan Ake was sold to Bournemouth for a profit.
Patrick Van An Holt left us for Sunderland and Ryan Bertrand left us for Southampton in 14/15 both for a profit as academy players.
Scott Sinclair, juan cuadrado were both signed kinda young and left for a profit.
Carlton Cole was signed from the Newcastle academy and was sold for a profit.
Claudio Pizarro was signed from Bayern Munich and he was bad but no one cares since we were winning.
Courtois and De Bruyne both signed from Genk, both sold on a big profit to Real Madrid and Wolfsburg respectively provided both were mistakes.
Lukaku was signed from Anderlecht and was sold to Everton for a massive profit, Lukaku was so good at Everton and inter that we broke our transfer record at the time to bring him back to England back to Chelsea from Internazionale.
Juan Mata was signed from Valencia and then Chelsea sold him to Manchester United in 2014 for a big profit.
And Chelsea are not selling every single homegrown player, Reece James is captain of Chelsea and when he’s not on the pitch Conor Gallagher is captain of Chelsea. Levi Colwill was given a new 5 year deal to fend of interest from Liverpool.
If it weren’t for that transfer ban in 19/20 under Roman, Mount and Reece James would have both been sold under Roman as he is ruthless and would not tolerate the fact that Reece James is extremely injury prone and mount had a bad last season at Chelsea and didn’t sign a new contract at Chelsea.
Chelsea even signed Papi Djilobodji for £2m in 15/16 and then was sold to Sunderland in 16/17 for £8m.
Marco Van Ginkel was only signed to make a profit from.
Jody Morris left chelsea under Roman.
Even other clubs sell their homegrown players for profit, we signed Cole Palmer for Manchester City for £47.5m and everyone laughed at us and everyone praised Manchester City for selling an academy graduate with limited minutes and wanted to leave.
Tosin Adaraboiyo was originally a Man City academy graduate but was then sold for Fulham and now he’s joined us on a free.
We sold Dominic Solanke for a profit to Liverpool who then sold Dominic Solanke for £20m to Bournemouth and now he’s one of the best strikers in the league and has a £65m profit so Bournemouth can make a big profit from him.
Man City sold Porro, Douglas Luiz, Jack Harrison, Harwood-Belis, Angus Gunn, Bazunu, Muric, Trafford.
Chelsea under Roman rejected Mbappe, Musiala and Salah who all went on to have massive careers.
You didn’t cry when Michael Mancienne left chelsea to go to Wolves. But when it’s Rio Ngumoha sold to Liverpool it’s panicking time but when Solanke was sold to Liverpool nobody cared.
You are angry at Chelsea not winning trophies under manager 725 under clear lake capital, Roman used to always sack managers so why is it when it’s Egbali it’s not ok, the problem is the appointments in who makes the decisions is bad, the wrong players signed the wrong managers appointed the constant disappointing results like the Celtic 4-1. You are pointing your hate towards something that Boehly did not invent and something that’s been around for years at other clubs not just Chelsea under Roman.
Mason Mount was sold for £64m to Manchester United as he did wanted to leave and in his final season he disappointed and was injured a lot and most importantly only has 1 year left on his deal, imagine we let him go on a free to Manchester United whilst paying all his wages and him being injured for the whole season, you would have been way more mad but we didn’t and the ownership did the right decision in selling mount to Manchester United for £64m just for him to be injured for the whole season.
Under chelsea’s best period, John Terry for most of the time was our only academy graduate with Lampard being signed from West Ham.
Josh McEachran was an academy graduate but was constantly on loan and then sold to Brentford in 15/16.
Please use some common sense and some basic research before coming to ridiculous and egregious conclusions derived from peer pressure by our own chelsea fans.
And what’s with all the pessimism, we have Cold Palmer, Reece James is back from injury, Lavia will finally play some games, Wesley Fofana is finally back from injury, we are signing generational talents like Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez and we have a pep Guardiola regen in Enzo Maresca who won the treble under Pep, you know something Arteta didn’t do at Man City.

Is it really so difficult to understand basics of "Ffp requirements"??? We need to balance the books. There is no other way for the owners to do so without selling our homegrown players for pure profits. We are financially in a mess. Nothing that's happening here is related to on pitch football requirements!!!
The owners are crazy so sad 😢
Sanchez has lost his spot to petrovic fair n square but maresca thinks he's some football god and will make Sanchez great😂 selling petrovic will be quite foolish but then again so is sacking poch, trying to offload chalobah, Gallagher, buying drewsberry hall etc., it's just pure circus and sad to see Chelsea become a laughing stock.

Not a celtic fan by any means but the budget and monies between these clubs is astronomical. Chelsea look in a right mess on and off the pitch.
Looks like celtic have got the minerals
At last a sort of unbiased opinion re this game …. It’s not surprising to me that you’re nearly at 100k subscribers … I’ve watched a number of Chelsea fans podcasts on RUclips…. Obviously I’m a Celtic fan… however your take on this game is spot on … the fact that your opening statement about being battered by Celtic was such a refreshing statement compared to other Chelsea fanzines…. If i was a Chelsea fan i would definitely follow you.
How tf are we letting go of Trev after the horror show we just watched 2 games in ,,man Badiashile is a disaster 🤦🤦
Chelsea’s Rangers lads are feeling battered to just like their stadium Ibrokes 😂
Preseason for me is to implement the system so whole squad knows there role(s). Our starting lineup will change. Results not important but performance is, Celtic far more advanced in preseason training and it showed. Few players just showing their limitations at the minute and why we need a few more ins/outs.
Wee kyogo always wears a gum sheild. He plays on the shoulder of the last defender and presses real high and fast so hes often right up in the faces of the defence or running off them on the turn. because of his height he's often catching an elbow in the face and he took a few rough smacks when he first came up here
Ik people are gonna be on max copium and say “ItS oNlY pRe SeAsOn” but I’m genuinely worried about next season. That high line defense we was playing was absolutely ridiculous. The fact Maresca didn’t even switch it up after the second half worries me. The board need to act immediately and make the right choices. We need proven players not more raw talent. Who tf is Paez and Estwrvao gonna learn from when they come and they gotta learn from Madueke and Mudryk
Look we need Charlboh back We need Gallagher to back and sign a New Contract Lavia is too attacking as are all the other Midfield players and if you are talking about fitness Then Gallagher is key there as well We desperately need Oshimsen
Everyone is really worried and with this we will start blaming the coach yet choice of players bought is poor
Thank you . That’s what I’m saying . He didn’t do anything tactically to change the game . That is a worrying sign already .
Me too I'm really worried not even by the result but our squad without Palmer, Fernandez and Caicedo looks so poor
I'm no Chelsea fan but I bet on them to win this game. To be honest, even if all the players who played in Europe get back, this team will have to improve by at least 4x to challenge for top 5 and that's even a tall order. I don't know who is making decisions behind the scenes but I know that Chalobah kid is better than all the CBs i saw on that pitch. And that guy you just purchased from Fulham, what planet is he better than Chalobah ? I'm not a fan but I even i get exasperated watching the team. Things will have to really improve for this team to be competitive and I don't see how it can improve by a magnitude of 4x during the season.

What’s also worrying for you is that for the last half hour, the Celtic team was 3 U20 academy players and the rest were second string players - and still scored twice
Not exactly they beat city also they're at the end of there pre season and are pretty much there match fit etc, could tell the difference in intensity from both teams especially with how chelseas defence were strolling around! 5 of this line up were out injured for the majority of last season plus another 6 or so actual 1st team Starters are not even at pre season! Poch looked great last pre season then completely changed our tactics starting the 1st game of the season! Pre season is there to get players match fit test some tactics and look at young players or fringe players to see if they will be sold stay or go on loan! Pre season isn't a competition! Ancelotti had one of our worst pre seasons and went on to breeze the league straight after
@@dannydavito201they beat a city team 4-3 and that city team was entirely youth academy players apart from the GK Haaland and Grealish. Apart from Rico Lewis, Bobb and McAttee none of them have played more than like 5 games outside the academy. @karmaascendant3936 5 of the players who played for chelsea have been out for a minimum of a season with major injuries whilst trying new tactics, the other 1st team Starters like caicedo, Enzo, Jackson, palmer, cucrella are not even at pre season! People actually going on like pre season is serious, if we going on like that then Chelsea will win the league because ancelotti lost all his pre season games and breezed the league, poch did really well in pre season and completely changed the way we played literally 1st game of the season against Liverpool! Did Preston not beat Liverpool? Did united not lose there 1st game? It isn't serious lol

Despite Mudryk not receiving a lot of service, he played well. I think if this Chelsea team is going to do anything this season, we’re going to have to play to Mudryk’s strengths. As for the Premier League, I do believe it’s the strongest, toughest and most competitive league in the world by far (in terms of transfer budgets and the level of the teams in general).
Hopefully Maresca turns to a regular 4 3 3 if the squad can't understand his system in time. Want to RJ use his crossing ability note being wasted in the middle.

I am extremely worried - as I watched through all of that stagnant shite - this reminds me of when poch was trying to play out the back, heart attack galore, this is the exact same - WE NEED TREV TO COME IN HERE AND SHOW THEM HOW TO DO IT!!! man, lets just be hopeful I guess
Good thing we have a coach that can coach the team to play out of the back
Sat and watched the game instead of going and changing my colostomy bag wrong choice
Absolutely battered
Brendan rodgers class of his own
He bossed maresca
Relax mate your season starts next week, most of our team played a combined 10 games last season through injury
Inverting the right is not working
Hail hail. To fast to cute cut open at will 😂😂😂😂
Can't believe our board thought the right decision was to let Poch go
Calm down, it’s better to identify the problems now than at the start of the season…jeez
@@pwrcaelenx no I'm not calming down. I'm dying on that hill. I think Poch was starting to get the best outta the squad. And there were indications he could succeed. The 4-4 draw with City as the perfect example imo. But nah, our board buncha turds with more money than brains
@@hurricanefan191 lol watch the vid and perhaps you’ll change your mind
The Board now look stupid for sacking Poch, aint it 😂
After he spent over 6months to get a system that works. Maresca comes in to make the same mistakes.
Reminding people of Ancelloti, around 12 years ago, who was a TOP manager, with a TOP squad loosing pre season games to feel better about this crap show? Come on Joey, the panic button was hit 7 minutes in. Never mind after a whole 90 of this crap.
You do realise we beat Man City a few days before?
Man City didn't have a full team out bla bla bla.
Neither did we.
This is exactly why we have been denied access to the EPL.
Few years of the cash you all get and we would take over.
Your fkn right we would mate, they all know it that's why we will never be there lol Hail hail 🍀
Go sleep brother. You didn't have to stay uo for this performance 😢
It was at 9pm mate
👊💥🇮🇪
Celtic reserves played decent 👌
Can someone explain to me how we have one of the best backs in the world, in terms of defending and going forward, and Maresca decided "No, let's take away James' best attributes to the team (going forward, crossing, overlapping) and let's force him into the middle."? Why can't we just use our players to their strength for one flipping season? It baffles me that every coach so far is going out their way to make our players play on their weaknesses. I don't understand.
Because he is a Championship Level Manager with a lack of any premier league experience and he lost 11 matches even though Leicester won their league
The idea is the end product of this revamp will be better than the continuation of Poch's team's momentum. Maybe something is said for experimenting at this early stage of the process. Not all the key pieces are in place yet. But I tend to agree with you and others on this page that are saying this looks like a disaster in the making-- and what was happening under Poch was certainly exciting and seemed very promising indeed....
Sanchez was behind the Celtic midfielders at one point 😂😂
We’re dog shit ain’t we. Like we’ve gotten worse. Sanchez is awful.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 we all know that Sanchez is awful
Watched City and AC Milan and am now watching Arsenal United. It's all preseason, but you can see they are proper teams. Chelsea , no play style, weak defense. We will be lucky to finish 8th if something doesn't change fast.
14th at best at worse if Gallagher, Charlboh and Sterling are bullied to leave 4th from bottom a new manager to save us and some experienced players brought in January for that reason
The harsh truth is that we were not good enough today. I just hope we improve our performances and results.#Blues.
I guess as a fan base we really overhype collwil...hes baad tbh
He’s fucking slow isn’t he? Watching him run, his hamstrings look so tight, and he doesn’t extended his stride like a normal athlete 🤦♂️
In Brighton he was really good maybe you guys should've take 45mills
Wow suddenly, he isn't good anymore... Was he bad under poch?
@@garv04 we said no to 70-80m from Bayern this summer😂
I think he is good, but not playing as lb. He strictly CB, it was the same story when he played as Lb under Poch.
I think sterling will have a comeback season, no southgate and raza will want to try to play in the world cup for england in 2 years. I wouldnt be surprised if we saw a revitalized sterling this year
Celtic fan here. Just wanted to say get it right up everyone of yous. Will be sticking on the euro final later and the euro final before that. The tears taste so good yum yum
Back 3 is not the plan, you can see how horrible we are when transitioning back
The bad part is the terrible ball giveaways in dangerous areas
We need Trevor
@@MrMilla103 We need Gallagher Back to Shore up the Midfield
Relegation stuff. #CLOWNLAKEOUT
Get it right up ye
This was rough.
Is just pre Saison but i' afraid 😂😂
Celtic are a very decent unit . By all accounts looking to bring in 4 or 5 before window closes . May do ok in Europe for a change , probably have the beating of a lot of the lesser teams in cl it’s preseason but an ocean to be crossed before start of season..
I think we’ll control the center of the park a lot better with Caicedo and Gallagher back on the pitch. Plus Palmer, Cucurella, and Jackson
Oh please God get the Chelsea Owners to see the light and give Gallagher a new contract we really need him and we need the others back and we must keep Trevor
Mainly cucurella Will Be The most important
Gallagher need to be sold,it as no TECHNICAL SKILLS to play in the way the coach won't to play, the English players are horrible at playing position base football because they have technical abilities on the ball
@@michaelrowe3511Gallagher is no good at playing position base football,he runs around like a head less chicken,he say it at the EURO S
@@johnparkin3210 He will prove people wrong and he can't do any worse than the current players and anyway I am sorry but we need him to protect the back line Because the players in those positions are overrated and not doing their jobs
Where is our intensity? That is why pochettino love Gallagher and making our players run. Ever team needs that level of intensity and I don’t see it with us so far.
If the Owners Cant see they need Gallagher They should sell up to a new owner
M'loving it
You listed every chance Chelsea had but ignored the 3/4 saves your keeper made before Celtic finally scored. You give that keeper a hard time but if it wasn’t for him you would’ve been 6-0 down at half time 😂
Im pretty sure sanchez didn't complete 1 long ball. Madueke isn't ready for PL. We have good enough individual talent without having to invert a rb. Inverting leaves us vulnerable to counterattacks, especially with the high defensive line. We just need to play people in their natural positions.
as a Celtic fan , we are about to start our season and we played with the first team, I would not be so worried about the scoreline…., what a team you had in the good old days Drogba, Terry, Lampard , Mourinho, ..best team in Europe.
I don’t even think most of us are worried about the score line, I watched the game yesterday just to see some good positive performances but we were just not at it, many factors can come into play but most are just excuses, what worries us is that we seem to have the same problems as last season offensively and defensively and GK, and coming off such a good end to last season is just a sad way to start pre season, we were terrible last game too
Still not the least bit worried about Maresca and his dogmatic focus on only playing his Leicester system, come hell or high water?
1) We have three midfield slots for all the interior of the pitch. That means all our interior players, DM's through 8's to CAM's and number 10's, have to be fitted into just those three slots. Caicedo, Enzo, Lavia, Santos, Casadei, Gallagher, Ukuchukwu, Chukwuemeka, KDH, Palmer, Nkunku and next year Paez. We have three midfield slots for this entire bunch.
2) If we use people like Palmer and Nkunku in the winger slots, we lose out on getting the best Palmer and Nkunku can do, and we lose out on having actual winger specialists do winger jobs.
3) Those "attacking number 8" midfield slots in the lineup are iffy. When we are in possession, we really want them to be regular number 10's. When we are not in possession, we really want them to be midfielders. Nkunku and Palmer are great fits for those positions when we are in possession but they're terrible out of possession. A Caicedo or Gallagher in that role is great out of possession but how good is it in possession?
4) We are officially flushing James and Gusto down the toilet. There's just no other word for what we're doing with their offensive abilities. James becomes an okay DM but really nothing too spectacular. Gusto is transfer list material. And frankly it's so fucking dumb. We have possibly the best right backs in the league and we're pissing that advantage away.
5) What stops an opposing team from sitting deep, winning possesion, passing it directly to a winger who automatically gets 1v1 against the wide CB in our 3-2 block? What stops that winger from just knocking the ball long and having a good old foot-race against the CB? Now iamgine that CB is Disasi.
Edit: And I just want to add, the players are fucking good, pardon my French. Use them right, they're easily top 4. Use them badly and of course they're going to look awful. The talent is there, just need a coach that actually tailors his tactics to the players available.
I think we may be able to get Nkunku and Palmer to _maybe_ play in other positions. Still, three midfield slots and 9 players.
It's not looking good bruv.
At least 3 of those won't stay for the season so it's not an issue but I agree with the rest forcing his same system with this squad doesn't seem to be the best idea honestly.
Great summary. Squad over-inflation is killing us too though, and gives Maresca no choice but to try and squeeze those midfielders into other roles because they’re our best players. We absolutely need to have overlapping fullback play. It feels like nearly half our goals last season came from the Palmer-Gusto link up
Your good player is looking nervous everytime they get the ball. The only good player last game was Guiu. Other was shite. They dont even look like they want to play.
To answer your number 1
Only caicedo, enzo, and KDH should touch the 1st team. Lavia look bad in 2 games he is too pasive, Ugochukwu make so many mistake maybe he is nervous.
1 You need Gallagher and Enzo or Gallagher Caicedo 2 Yes I agree Nkunku might have to come off the Bench 3 Gallagher can play that Role and we need Players who shut the ball down quickly and he is fast and can do that 4 Yes James and Gusto Totally ruined with this Championship Managers Tactics 5 OMG I think that Like Poch the Tactics by the new man will have to change or it will be the sack by Jan 1st
Many many more are coming. Save your tears until the season starts. I have a feeling Graham Porters days are back again!!
Who would you like as the next manger?
@@michaelrowe3511the person that got us top 5 in his first season
I thought there were plenty of positives to take. Guiu was fantastic, we had a bag of chances at the start of both halves, we pressed well out of possession & moved the ball well in possession. Bearing in mind it's only the SECOND game of preseason and about 3 weeks into a brand new manager, philosophy and style of play. Not to mention Enzo, Caicedo, Palmer etc all unavailable. Clearly the high defensive line is going to punish us if we don't have defenders who know what to do....
Sanchez/Badiashile at the bask passing the ball is a time bomb
I was going to buy tickets to these games. Thank God i didnt
Was bored to death watching that horror show of a performance but at least i have a new joey knight video to watch keep up the good work man love the content ❤

I remember u were celebrating when enzo maresca was appointed and was a poch out guy..... My question is why sack poch when things had started working now we r back to square one... Far off worse than we were.. This is crazy
Nope I was Poch in
We looked to scared to shoot again and the defending is terrible.
Funny thing is we did already see Sanchez do it in the league 😂 remember we were up 2-0 against arsenal at home. He gives the ball away just like today but to rice. He gave them momentum and they got a result.

We still have a whole midfield to come back and cucu which will solve problems but still not good enough
Pissed but not worried yet. When I saw fafona and tosin playing ahead of the midfielders constantly. I figured Maresca was using this as a training session.
I read a quote from Maresca saying because Chelsea will play out from the back, but they’re likely to concede goals!
I mean, it’s not what you wanna hear from your head coach?!!
And I understand it’s his philosophy of playing, but saying that doesn’t exactly breed confidence.
You must understand that Celtic are a couple weeks ahead in they’re preparation but in saying that it was a mauling.
First macth vs ManCity: Lucky to hear Pep saying that he doesn't mind when his EUROS players incl. Rhodti return to the club and that it might be even after Community Shield or not even be ready for the first PL matches.
