Then on his way to the drop pod slaughters every slave that is actually needed to work the ship - kills a fellow marine for speaking up. Says its for whatever God. Goes to a planet and gets beaten by a bunch of Loyalist Scouts even though he's suppose to be a veteran of the great war. Yet retreats with some weapon to live again. They need purpose. Kill for reasons and some larger goal. That is why characters who aren't souped up on the Chaos juice and have some sanity are the best.
