This is awesome. I love when under-served platforms like this find ways to outfit parts from more popular platforms.
No kidding.... Even opens up swap options for v8 swaps... I wanted to toyota v8 my FRS. But LS is so easy... But now a blown toyota v8 is making me think....
@@killroy2993 Search in RUclips for GT86 V8 5.7L 3UR-FE Swap
I'm sure you will like his project!
This exactly what hot rodders used to do. Take higher performance stock parts off other cars for their own.
Right? I just picked up a supercharged Acura CL-S that needs some work done on the supercharger. Can’t wait to get it finished
1uzfe is a fantastic underserved platform
Not to be biased or anything, but we make some cool shit here in Australia
Bullet superchargers?? Any experience for the GS4
over priced too
@@sharkparty1027 thats what i thought. What, 6-7k for a whole kit not installed
You guys love Toyotas/Lexuses there!
@@luthersullivan5141 Did you see the elbow issue? The build is gonna cost even more by the end. Elate is selling untested parts...horrible business model.
This is not Speed A's fault, I still enjoy the content.
LS430 prices are literally going up with every episode... Man that is one sick looking Sedan! Love the content guys
True, g bodies , square bodies are crazy as well
My e46 has the same hood with the integrated grill. Hit my head a few times on it. Builds character through brain damage.
I am always so deep in the engine bay it just tries to break my back. Glad I only own e46 parts and not a whole e46. The e30 hood is almost as fun when the strut fails though.
I hate that shit
We should be fine...Academy.
Narrator: They weren't.
I paused my video and when I pressed play, I simultaneously saw your comment and hear him say "we should be fine" I shit you not 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Im getting some *bad* Ideas now!
Supercharged UZ is the new LS! 😆
@@speedacademy With the price of JZ's going up so much I think this can become a thing!
@@MotionAutoTv Go for it Trevor, this is a bullet proof engine.
Yeah same here. Didn't know they had adapters for those M112 superchargers.... Definitively be down for a supercharged UZ Lexus....
Trevor in the house!!
You could plant a flower with all the dust in that engine bay. Can’t let the BMW have the only clean bay
never clicked this fast, but i’m happy to see it!
You don’t usually see these type of builds from automotive youtubers.
Everyone’s been doing the exact same thing over and over again it gets tiring.
Seeing you guys do something original feels really refreshing! I’m glad I found you guys out! Looking forward to the next episodes.
Great choice to go with the charger. Will be a great drive when it's finished
I'm an equal opportunity enthusiast - whether it be the induction noise of an NA motor, the whine of a supercharger, or the woosh of a turbo spooling I love them all. Thanks for sharing more great content!
I would've changed that starter since you had the intake manifold off.
was just gonna say this
I would have done the same thing. With already being there. Wonderful time for some preventive maintenance. Save time and hassle down the road.
@@faststanger1 they won't have it long enough to care about that lol let the next guy do it.
This company should make a full bolt on kit, would probably sell allot of units if they did!
The LS430 is one of my favorite cars, I hope one day you give this away. So I can maybe have the chance of winning it🤣.
I love that you have decided to enter a Lexus into this battle, but I cannot vote against a wagon.
I love this series! Owned my LS430 for 5 years and has been the best decision I have ever made. Keep the videos coming. Can't wait to see the next one!
These guys have more car knowledge in their pinkies than the top 10 automotive RUclipsrs combined.
RUclipsrs are "influencers" now... Market trends and capatilzation. If you like this check: bad obsession motorsports
Those are sellout people babbling about their sponsorships mostly the time and having no idea what they are doing the other times.
They're good, but I've seen a few dumb mistakes over the years to where I've been like "what are they thinking" or "how did they miss that" and I'm just a guy who took autoshop in high school and have wrenched on my own cars since 2000.
@@Pube83 they never said they are professionals and even in this video, they are saying that they would bring in a pro for the job. Atleast they admit they are not experts in the field and embarrass themselves later.
Speed academy, ChrisFix and to a point mighty car mods I’d say are probably the most knowledgeable automotive RUclipsrs from what I have seen
I love the BOM cup of tea in the background!
I remember this was big when I had my old SC400 about 12 years ago. Great cheap power adder
For the double nut method, make sure theyre aligned and use a deep socket over both of them and then loosen.
Can't wait to hear this! That blower was loud as hell in the best way possible on the SVT.
Totally triggered by not having that starter replaced while they're in there.
I was thinking the same thing LOL.
It's a Lexus... the chances of that thing failing are like... never.
@@m42b14 You clearly dont own an LS lol. Thats one of the big repairs needed on these cars and older ones... Look at the forms lol
@@m42b14 this is a common issue on the LS
I just said the she thing lol
Loving the LS project! Can’t wait for the next episode!
I love how intuitive you guys are at modifying your vehicles and have such a diverse collection to keep every enthusiast happy no matter what there thing is
Overalls are overalls down here. I think the Poms call them coveralls. A jumper is a sweater.
Loving you guys back on the tools again!
as a former owner of a terminator cobra, this is just plain cool
I’ve watched you guys from the point where you started fixing all the shocks breaks and everything up to the supercharger, I’ve subscribed and liked and commented, I like how you guys take your time to properly make these modifications, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask you guys to work on my LS. Your videos inspired me to have courage and to have fun with restoring and modifying. Your LS looks amazing at this point and
I can’t wait to see it finished and in action.
Love me some Supercharged LS430 action. I would love to drag race another Supercharged LS430 haha. FYI you can also use a TRD supercharger from a tundra as I recall.
Found you guys recently but this channel has quickly become one of my favorites on RUclips, keep up the great work boys! Shoutout from Boston, MA.
One of the most anticipated videos from you guys, love how these builds are going.
Thank you for the video this helps me a lot since I’m planning on supercharging my 1992 ls400...great quality vids!!
Should consider replacing that starter motor now that you are there.
Agreed
If it ain't broke don't fix it
Thank you very much for putting this video and for doing this series. I'm doing a very similar thing right now with an identical supercharger but on a 1st generation 1UZ-FE. I've taken a few of your tips on board, so thank you very much again and keep up the awesome work 👍🏾!
I just picked up a 98 ls 400 I would like to ask you a few questions if you don’t mind reaching out to me
I have a guilty pleasure that I tell few people about, and that guilty pleasure is watching videos of wacky Vippu builds from Japan and pining over giant-chrome-wheeled JDM luxo-barges cruising down the wangan. I daren't tell any of my track-rat friends for fear that they'll begin to berate me about the unsprung weight of my 21" robo-vom-deep-dishes, or the lack of suspension stroke and effective damping from my leaky airbag setup. But, DP, with this supercharger build, you have cemented my desires of buying an old Lexo and building the Vippu carnival yacht of my dreams.
The sound of unrelenting wheel scrub and supercharger whine is in my future, I know it. Thank you, DP. Thank you.
I still can't get over how good those wheels look.
Looks like modern celica/supra wheels🔥
Looks like newer model Mustang GT wheels to me. I know they are same bolt pattern, offset not so sure. But I know you can make them fit
I am just here to stare at the wheels.
Those wheels look awesome
That celica supra wheel
I like those wheels . but too expensive .
Woah. Just bumming around the internet and found your channel. I'm tracking my SC430 and I cannot wait to try this myself.
Love the awesome detail, cool deal guys!
This is gonna be deemed the japanese terminator. It was born at speed academy 💯
The realest car channel. You guys deserve to have more subs.
Speed Academy has become my favourite channel to watch. Great content guys!👌
Love seeing the supercharger on this thing! I’m excited to see the power numbers!
It looks great I can’t wait to see it finished and running
this is so awesome! i love this car it looks so incredible. cant wait to hear that whine!
I like this build! This coming out pretty sick for sure! The heater hoses look fine id say.
Crazy build can’t wait to hear it these motors aren’t usually the loudest so it’ll be great to hear a different tone for once
Love this build I have an LS 430 myself and this is very interesting
Very cool....thanks for letting us see all the fun stuff
super stoked to see how this alters the driving experience for daily and track use!
this LS motor is gonna be sick, I've been enjoying this build series allot, keep it up
Can’t wait to see this build when it’s all done, love fast big body sedans
nice work gentlemen, what a great project this is, keep doing what you are doing.
What a great upgrade at low cost. Nice work gents - loving it
I almost bought that exact supercharger for my grand marquis, guess you got it first
I'm in love with this Lexus!!!
I admire the grinding down part you guys did. All a learning process, I wouldve 100% took it to a shop haha. Look forward to this Japanese vs German battle!
I LOVE this!! Great work, guys!
One of the best automotive RUclips channels out there. Keep up the good work
Tag teaming the blower 😂😂
“Take the load of the shaft” I’m dead 😂
“We’ve done what every stud should do.... double nut”
Legendary lines.
It actually looks so good just fits perfectly there
Finally a real power adder for our LS430, thanks!
I'm a fan since the TA22 Celica but this is going to be a great luxury sedan...well done guys.
Omg !!!! I’m ready for the finished product!!!!!!!
With the doublenut trick, what I usually see another RUclipsr that uses this trick do is hold the top nut with another wrench so it's not backing out when the bottom one is turning. Keep a little opposite tension on the top one that way
Loving this series, great job you guys :)
This is inspiring me to get an LS for myself. Loving the build!
Do it. I love my 2005.
Step up a few years to the 460...Unless you don't mind the age or you are trying to save some money
@@K03sport 460 is trash compared to the 430. Feels cheap.
This is what we have been waiting for! I love this. I will be interested in seeing how it runs with stock engine management.
Oh, there is a header out there, PPE I think is the name and OBX makes a knock off it for about 700-800 for the set.
Totally diggin this build! Old man power!!
Oh man, A big body Lexus with supercharger whine! You guys definitely build dream cars!
Great breakdown and explanation, I wish I could put this on my 1FZ-FE
Keep It coming this will be how I go about boosting my ls430
This is definitely going to push me to get this for my 430.. going to continue to follow.. have kept up with you on IG about it via DM. This episode makes me so excited.
I'm really liking what you guys are doing now.
I know nothing about cars but I love cars and dont know how to get into them but I love your guys videos. Love the lexus series.
Was picking over an LS430 yesterday at the yard.. I gotta get one of these!
Digging the build and that Continental cap!
This is super cool, I cant wait to see it rip!
Thanks for using PPE! Get the young ones used to doing things the right way!
I hit my head on that every time I work on my 2003 ls430. ps love your videos so much that I might put a supper charger on to my ls430.
Super excited to see how this supercharger turns out.
Can't wait to see the final product!
"Take the load of the shaft" teenage me laughed for a while lol.
loving the lexus progress
I don't comment on every video but I've watched since the badass 2000. Love what y'all do! I hope one day I can do a TMP track day with my Evo 2.
This looks fun. While you're waiting for the help on the lines, clean the bay.
I love this. Perfect for the chassis
Love the build! You guys are super underrated
YES! I Cant Wait to hear that run!
Sold Fords in '03 and loved all the SVTs, even the NA FOCUS w/ the 6spd. So cool to be able to put the Cobra screws in my 04 LS. Maybe after 200k mi.
watching them cut that flange off reminded me how good of a purchase my 9" grinder was.
A friend of mine has a 3uz swapped early land cruiser, he did this 5 years ago, used a smaller charger drive pulley it runs10psi boost with ethanol spray above 4psi boost . It makes 450hp at the wheels with max torque from 1800 to 5600 rpm
Can't wait to do this to my SC400! Love this build!
@@danielpv7570 Running an M112 since i have 1uz VVTi
Nice! Love these Lexus enhancements!
Interesting to see the finishing and how it will sound and perform.
Love this build, i say it every video lol, cant wait to hear it roar!
nice going guys love the series
Since you’re there, starter replacement, cooling lines, spark plugs and valve cover gaskets.
This is really interesting! I'm digging the idea of building a car with the best tech that "almost" fits and making it work. But I had to laugh at D.P.'s comment about making work ... because for a bunch of guys that "don't like to make work" you really know how to "make work". Keep it up, it's always enjoyable to see you get a project built!
Very exciting episode!
Feedin that sweet, sweet algorithm. Damn, that supercharger is going to be fun. I'd really love to supercharger something soon myself.
