how to pancake a 67-72 C10 ( removal, cutting, welding and reinstalling)

  • in this video I'll show you how to pancake your front cross member. I'll be removing removing the cross member with the motor still in the truck cutting out the center to lower it and weld it back together. then reinstall it and talk about what else needs to be modified after the pancake to make things work

    I sold a 64 3 weeks ago that was bagged and the guys looking at itbsaid it's already been pancaked I just kept quite, today I bought a 70s crossmember and the guy told me he was selling it because he pancaked another ....I said what? He said youbtube it ....well freaking awesome....you did a great job with all the details crazy cool .....

    Thay front brace looks bent in the middle. Mine is yhe same on my 66. Is that how they are suppose to be or is that from when someone ran into it? Also those top a arms look shorter, do they meed to be shimd?

    I replaced a rusted out front crossmember on mine without removing the motor. I just ran a peice of box tubing under the harmonic balancer and sat it on the frame rails. Worked great. Here's the video... ruclips.net/video/HeqImP1LmEo/видео.html
