Every time i watch one of these videos it scares the hell out of me knowing these are the people we share the road with.
Exactly thats the most dangerous "part" of them al😅
I usually drive at least 3 car behind to see anything weird on the car, if you follow a truck that needs alignment, you would know, those are the most scariest car to see driving the road
I share your concern. It's unsettling to see such behavior from fellow drivers on the road. Stay cautious and promote road safety.
Never ceases to amaze me , how people disregard safety and their cars condition
Do they wash their ass?
Shut up
It's because NOBODY IS TAUGHT ANYTHING ABOUT CARS
"Obviously it's fine, it's still moving"
I've said for years that there should be a MANDATORY basic auto care class in school
You don't have to know how to change the oil, but you DO have to know WHY it's important to change the oil!!
Like the other guy said, it’s a lack of knowledge or forethought. Yeah, I know common sense dictates… but as we all know sense isn’t very common anymore.
@@GetTheFO the simple question for an automotive idiot is "did it do that/make that sound, when you bought it?"
If not, something is wrong
I know a 50+ y/o woman that has 260k on her 2010 Sienna, owned since new.
She just had a tire, with a separated belt, replaced today, because "it felt funny yesterday"
PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE!!
11:45 "I think you got that right on the money bud." That has my cracking up.
Creators like you make You Tube AWESOME !!!!
these videos make my car look perfect
I can't wait for the day when the engineers come up with the coolant/oil mix that works for both systems. Imagine the money saved on repairs!
It's a conspiracy.
I think those have been around for a while. They used to call them air cooled.
In a way it already exists… air cooling instead of using water. In an air cooled unit since the air isn’t displacing as much heat as water cooling can those systems are more of an oil cooled system. Some smaller 25hp engines have an oil cooler in the oil system.
@@michaelbenoit248
Try lubricating the internals with fresh air 😂
Sadly water an oil never mix
"Customer states 'I hit some road debris.'" That windshield and metal piece make me wonder how they got there at all.
Ace Ventura style
@@Freezinggreece2 That, or they're better at driving than my left foot.
I bet the customer's car was towed, and the shackle from the car in front of them gave up.
@@Funky666 Maybe, but a wheel could've also flung it up at highway or interstate speed.
10:30 I had a gm dealer do that to me too. Except my front tire did come off and I was going 50. In a big duramax truck too. The other rim had lug nuts just laying in the cap that cover the lug holes they didn’t tighten any of the front lugs.
Ahhhh you don't need wheels to drive, clearly! 😅 glad you're safe, was probably terrifying when it happened
@@Freezinggreece2 lol it was pretty scary but smoother then I would have thought. My truck basicallly used my rotor as a wheel and I “rolled “ to a stop in the ditch. Steering wheel kind of went nuts. I was thankful no one was coming the other direction my tire came off driver side went flying passed me across the road and ended up like 500 yards into this field. If it hit a car oh man lol 35” tire with 20” rims.
May god save us all from these abused vehicles and the people that drive them.
5:30 that’s a fun feature. The speedometer indicates the turn.
At 8:50 When you can't afford gear oil and just put in oil based Paint instead.
7:39 that is the worlds thickest most German Accent ever. 😂
The Briggs and Stratton engine happens when someone adds something like rislone stop smoke to the oil thinking that they are going to help reduce oil burning and add the whole bottle. It happens fast too had a "buddy" sabotage my lawnmower that way took 2 uses of the mower and it started to make Alot of noise and I decided to drain the oil to see if it had metal in it .. took 29 gallons of diesel gas mixture and 3 weeks to get it flushed out of the engine it ran ok but burned Alot of oil afterwards though
I bet it did lol. Diesel probably broke up all the residual stuff helping with the oil pressure, I had the same thing happen with an older cord I bought to fix up. Used diesel to break up all the crap in the oil pan, found quite a number of leaks around the seal following that.
I would love to see these cars and trucks have a MOT test in the UK.
That's not freedom. That's why we drove you lot out.
Defective brakes and rotten chassis always gets me chills
Sometimes I wonder if people are really that ignorant about their car’s safety or if they really are aware but like to drive it that way for the thrills.
@16:40, ugh, I can smell those brakes.
Garaged in winter, minimal rust, well maintained.
Pretty darn sure the rust is the only thing holding some of these rat traps together.
I had a 1973 Datsun miniwagon that I followed the Grateful Dead in. I swear, at the end, it was the Deadhead stickers holding the thing together.
@@gridlore Just Truckin' it straight to the scrap yard.
Death traps*
I am extremely impressed by how these videos showcase the flawless appearance of my car.
Needed a good laugh this morning. Thanks guys😂😂😂
"Rockabye baby in the engine bay"😂😂
Chestnuts on an open muffler haha 😂😂😂😂
4:09 Coolant doesn't do that. Too many additives like from stop leaks is what does that.
For us non-mechanics it would be great if you would give a bit more of an explanation as to what is happening. Some are obvious, but some we have no clue. I know you are the central point for people sending them in, but come on!! Help out the uninformed. Thanks!
12:30 I had a tire place do that to my 73 Chevy and I had to call a tow truck to help change my flat and he had to call a second truck that had a more powerful tool to help.
Was that dog food in the ac vents?! I'm surprised that they didn't complain about the ALPO smell!
Kibbles 'N Bits as air freshener? Yum, yum.
@@CommodoreFloopjack78 😂🤣😂
Every one of my cars gets mice in the AC vents. Bird seed, acorns, hickory nuts, etc. Not mention some part of my interior used to make a nest. 🤬 Can’t kill enough of those bastards!
It was mouse crap most likely!
0:18 customer states "klink klonk klink klonk klink klonk"
"I'm sorry, did you say you wanted your wheels balanced or unbalanced?"
listen, i’m not a car person by any means but there are some things i can just look at and say “that ain’t right” ☠️☠️
I have been a mechanic since 1976 and all this stuff that their freaking out about is normal to see every day
@Lurch I hear you, man
@@lurch789 if ya see something that makes ya white as a ghost, it's time to find the IA with some red tags haha
The difference is, in 1976, you might have turned to your buddy beside you and said, "Hey, check this out" and gone about your day. In 2023, your buddy beside you has become 476K people and counting.
As someone who's just learning, I like watching these because I feel like I'm benefiting from other people's experience. But I totally understand why someone with more experience might not be so impressed 😂
I’m so glad I work on airplanes. Seeing this stuff at work would insure I never slept right again.
HEY its al good its got the vice grip tune up on it
I love how the video shows the Lexus with 0 miles and engine ticking lol. I have my 2008 lexus isf and ticks with 288k miles on it. Always has it’s a normal thing on Lexus cars
8:54, can someone please explain what that is? whats wrong, some of these are incomprehensible to the layman
@1:20 - if you think a moment, you know exactly why those 'exhaust mods' are in that exact location.
I asked a mate that has been in the car repair business for 35 years if he has ever seen any thing like what is shown in these videos, he said no and doesn’t know what people do to there cars in America.
3:08 this is exactly why don't have a life insurance policy😂/😢
English guy here, does America not have a yearly safety inspection????
8:53 someone put stop leak in the diff
Damn, I feel bad going 300 miles over on my oil change. Must be nice being dumb.
12:38 now that's some high performance sh!t right there.
Why dont you have yearly inspections of all vehicles in the us?
Freedumb.
It depends on the state. Some states require annual safety inspections, but others do not.
6:27 What's the complaint there? I've fixed worse, Hell... I've DONE worse! 😂
Don’t any mechanics watch RUclips? When the camera is sideways the viewer can have way more enjoyment. Bless
Seem people aren't smart enough to figure out that human eyes are side side by side and work best with a horizontal image. They must watch on a phone in portrait orientation. I hate vertical video, even on my phone.
These poor vehicles.
Last I heard, if you allow the engine to move, it's able to apply the proper amount of torque and power to the ground. All good 👍
1:12 my favorite part. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ca-Chow!!!
10:19 i was driving with my family in my moms car and we didn't see it in time and our passenger side front wheel came off in a parking lot. luckly we heard the loud thunking noises and got off the highway in time. The lug nuts broke off the car was old. and recently this week the enegine rod shot through the engine of it so now we're looking for a new car for her. it was a Jeep Grand cherokee from 1999.
10:30 great way to lose some fingers or part of your arm, sticking it through the spokes of a rim that is holding up the weight of the truck on the last inch of 1 stud...
o i have had those swimming ignition coils on a transverse mounted V6 i bought a while back. Took me a long time in a very uncomfortable position to get all the oil out on the back facing cilinderbank..
0:45 oh no...an ocky strap suspension arm joint...it gets no better.
@8:38 I will step up and make a guess. How about that axel/differential/gear housing has been under water and has some leaky seals somewhere which would explain it being over filledn with water.
So let me get this right.
Your saying that milk isn't a good coolant?
@6:04, how u gonna be wearing crocs in the shop bruh🤣😭
You have to have an Episode called, "Turn down your radio and listen."
At 6:50 a pot hole that's not a pot hole, drive on a Victorian road in Australia, then you will get how pot holes cause even more damage.
had a friend with a GEO, saw exactly the same thing as the mechanic did 14 min in when we changed his plugs.
Looks great to me
Do you remember the mechanical fuel pumps on the older cars that ran off the cam. When it would go bad it filled the crankcase with gasoline sometimes destroyng the bearings but it was redesigned so when the diaphragm broke it leaked to the outside by a small hole not inside.
3:56 i see it before in Car Mechanic Simulator, that brake disk is in 1% lmao
YOU TUBE PLEASE STOP THE NO CURSING POLICY
So this is a vertical video compilation?
The car that went zero miles and was ticking, that is usually the fuel pump on the newer direct injection cars, mine has done that since day one
question to mechanics and car owners here, how ofte nshould you send your car for full inspection? once a year, once in 2 years? kindly asking, i don't own a car yet and saving for one
Depends on what state you're in. For example, I'm in TX, and an inspection is legally required every year. Other states don't require inspections at all.
Depends on your local regulations, but you should refer to your owners and or service manual and follow their recommendations for inspection and service intervals.
Imo it doesn't hurt to have it inspected during each oil change just to see how things are holding up with a simple visual inspection. Preventative maintenance and periodic inspections are cheaper than repairing a catastrophic failures. The more regularly its inspected the more likely it is to spot and fix a problem.
At a minimum as an owner you should check your fluid levels and tire pressure every two weeks to a month, or whenever you top off the fuel as most manuals will state.
I can not believe some of the things I'm shown in these video's, but there it is for all the world to see. Some of these customers are so close to winning a Darwin award. Be a mechanic they said, it will be fun they said.
16:56 to be honest now! That hoodstack is more normal in Sweden White disel engins like D24
May the divine protect us all from these mistreated vehicles and the individuals operating them.
cars cant get this bad in the uk by law have to have a yearly independent inspection to minimum standards 99% of people do thos and we have active ampr cameras everywhere roads, signs, petrol stations very few get away with it inless on false plate cloning a legal car
How do you drive a car until the wheel bearings are just gone? Don't they make a horrible sound as they go bad?
Those people are like 'well it's still drivable so i can "save" the money for now'.
That Briggs is when you mix old synthetic with gear oil
6:50 That looks like a Baltimore, MD pothole.
That's a new differential hack, use milk. 😂
The Dodge you have to recall, is now made by Fix It Again Tony, and has Alfa Romeo electrical reliability.
Born and raised in Houston Texas just off the Gulf I've seen a lot of Rusty things growing up and then I moved to Nebraska I don't see how have to vehicles are still on the road I have seen some things man people playing with their life's
If your car is shown on this series, you know you messed up 💀
18:25 Slipping AC-clutch, because of stuck AC-pump?
I've seen some 💩 in my life. But, these really blow my mind.
Who was the one that put peanut butter in the engine?
I can’t blame y’all I wouldn’t want to have to get in some of those nasty ass shitboxs either. Have to get somebody to spray me down with Lysol when I get out. LoL 😂
9:38 can someone explain what's wrong with the Lexus?
It makes that ticking noise right out of the factory
For a drivers licens excam, i guess a sensor is needed to approve it... how many sensors does now have alcohol and drugfueld problems knowing they somehow "passed" these people?...
14:00 looks like your cylinder 2 and 3 plugs are low on oil.
Do the insurance companies pay out when one of these death traps is involved in an accident ?
I have 2 Cars that make a Ticking sound when Started they have since they were new Couldnt figure out why and then found its the Fuel Injectors Opening and Closing
Gotta feel bad for some of these customers. Ignorance about vehicles and bad work from the prior mechanic can really screw people over
2:38 We all know what happened right?.. Iykyk
Is that elmers glue in the one? Like seriously looks like it
@ 4:10 . That is the first time i see oil react like that to coolant . Guess the saying is true murican muscle cant beat japanese know how , anyone here got a Subaru to how em how a real engine mixes oil with coolant ? :D
Don't even need a Subaru, my kawasaki was notorious for killing water pump seals in the clutch case. I'd get two rides out of it before it made the forbidden milkshake.
@@100GTAGUY well that is a motorcycle, but I know what you mean and I would gladly pay extra for external water pumps on bikes.
this is to much fun adding silly comments to this vid
@8:43 I didn't know dulux did engine oil
i wanna take my tahoe to see if it ends up in one of these compilations 😭😭😭
@8:29 Oy! Thats Elmahs glue innit gov? Musta got his change down at the Cock and Bull and Weasle and Pear and Other Bull and Sheep and Deer.
On the car with 0 miles, that is the EVAP purge solenoid, totally normal noise.
most of these videos remind me why car insurance costs so damn much. Some of these cars are one small bump from catastrophic failure.
7:17 YEETUS
What was thar white stuff?..😮
I wrenched with some good ol' boys in the So. for a while. they say, Want to get rid of a car that has a slip in transmission? White house paint will get you the pressure you need to get the thing sold! had to quit, always trying to pay me in beer or rusty cars!
My transmission wouldn’t shift into reverse or park…I had a quarter fall down in the shift though the console. 🤷🏻♂️
You should have seen what my sister's car looked like after a pothole cover flipped up, and bounced all under the car. What a mess.
