"I hit a Hub cap.." Yeah..he failed to mention that Hub Cap was still attached to that truck wheel. Unbelievable what crap actually drives on the road.
I think I scared the people who last worked on my car in a different way. For context, I’m an SFX makeup artist for film/tv. I had just taken an animatronics workshop before and left all my stuff in the trunk. My dealership always washes and cleans the car after a service. Got my car back realizing I didn’t take my stuff out. Poor people probably popped the trunk and came face to face with a full sized latex clown head and a fiberglass skull with a bunch of wires and eyeballs. Oopsie. Clown jumpscare probably wasn’t something anyone was expecting that day.
That's what I was thinking too, had a few come in like that... Either that or the High pressure fuel pump is going since it is driven by the cam on those and get mighty noisy.
Yep EGR they click like that cos they can't reach there calibrated range due to carbon buildup internally, usually wants a decent clean and nothing more, but many just throw a new one in it
I still maintain that cars built 40-60 years ago were better quality with far superior materials like non-recycled steel that didn't rust out anywhere near as fast as they do today. Maintenance was also simpler that didn't require big dollar diagnostic equipment either. Just a few basic hand tools and a good understanding how things work generally got most people by. Man, I miss those days!!😢😢😢
I do not understand how many of these can even happen. What else is going wrong around these people that they just don't notice or care why it's happening. Much of Australia has very strict laws about these things & mechanics are not allowed to let dangerous cars on the road so things like this are rare here.
Majority of the time they don’t care and decline repairs, and when they come back because a catastrophic failure has occurred they try to blame it on us lmao
I really enjoyed the video, especially the part where the customer was given the opportunity to assist with the tap. Overall, it was a great video that left me wanting to know more.

18:05 Yes and no. If it's a simple leak, cheap radiator or hose that's bad to use stop leak for sure because it's gonna harm other car components. But if it's a leak which require dismounting many hours or overall very expensive repair on the old vehicle and otherwise it's totalled mechanically stop leak might be good option, can give car one,two or more years to go. Not every stuff like that is bad, it's how and when You use it.
Just a wild-ass guess at around 11:50: I'd start by looking at the A/C compressor clutch. That's just an off-the-top of my head clicking noise that comes and goes. Could be something else, but that's where I'd start looking.
12:54 I saw that very ford being test drivin while test driving a lexus for my dealership. It was smoking out the whole street while the tech he was driving it!

Routine maintenance, folks. Rotate the steering wheel, top off the horn fluid, check the blinker pressure. Not a big frickin' deal.
thats a mechanic shops "tune Up" job bro. dont out them like that

that was my immediate thought. you can see the little grooves where the rollers are supposed to be. that guy's motor is now either "fix it or fuck it"
11:37 that might be a faulty EGR Valve that is causing that noise by opening and closing quickly

My first guess as well. Maybe pistons took a shit in the compressor
The game is actually entitled, "What was in my oil pan, and how the f*ck did it get there?"
On the 2012 sonata if it's a hybrid it's most likely the hybrid generator making that noise. There's a nut that holds the pully that loosen up
and this is why we have MOT's in the UK haha

Every time I see these vids, appreciate even more living in a state where vehicles have to pass yearly safety inspection. 🙂
But does that stop anyone from just driving anyway? No its just a way to force good people to submit
Morality, responsibility, and sanity cannot be legislated. Laws will solve nothing.
@@NO-background-music-in-videos. actually it does, you can be pulled over and your vehicle impounded if it is unsafe.

Okay, play with the radiator, then ask if it's rod-knock.
