    250/mo net is 3k per year. If you're putting down $7500 per truck, thats a 40% cash on cash return. Better than an average long term rental property of about 10-15%

    • @benmarr352
      @benmarr352 7 месяцев назад +1

      It's not quite so simple, the vehicles depreciate, the property (over the long term) follows or beats inflation. This you need to take out depreciation (it may be that the net amount received includes that but wasn't clear to me).

    Just so everyone knows…
    $45,000 vehicle that has a 24 month life on the platform…
    $250-$350 per month profit.
    If vehicle prices fall at all you are going to need to cough up a bunch of cash fairly quickly. If the tax laws change and we get a minimum tax you will need to come up with a bunch of cash quickly.
    From what he described the only way this works is if you don’t have debt on any of it or you borrow for something like 50 new vehicles and pay the debt off as quickly as possible.
    I know he said he is doing it with less but if you look at what a commercial loan payment would be and the life of the vehicles…. His scenario only works as long as used prices on vehicles stay irrationally high.
    Am I missing something?

    • @BabyYoda5555
      @BabyYoda5555 2 года назад +2

      I was thinking the same thing too. There’s no such thing as a truly passive business that requires 1 hour a week to maintain. Little effort and little risk will always earn you (at best) little reward.

    • @geraldfoley7732
      @geraldfoley7732 2 года назад +2

      You’re missing a LOT. You Trang the vehicle out for 2-3 years, take in significantly more than the payment, keep the rest. Then you sell the vehicle for %60 of what you paid for it, pocket the leftovers. The van lays for itself and then some then you sell it. It’s all upside!

    • @joenwc
      @joenwc Год назад +1

If you are not and accredited investor, you'll need to start with a minimum of 25 vehicles in order to have Fluid Truck manage your fleet. Good luck.

    Hi Aubrey thank you for all you r videos .also I want to thank mr Danny for all the information .I think for me 250 to 350 dollars a month per vehicle is so low even if it is passive income .because if you have for example 5 van each one will cost you 2019 and up around 35000 dollars × 5 =175000 dollar. I think investing that much to get 1800 to 3000 dollars a month is so low .

      Totally see your point, it's of course lower than more active income streams. But if you're someone who is looking for something 100% passive more as an investment than it's certainly an alternative.
      EDIT: Also want to note that Fluid is certainly not something that is for someone wanting to really take their income/wealth to the next level, Fluid will not ever take you from making $5k per month to $30k per month...Turo can. But, not everyone is looking for a grind that they have to spend an increasingly large amount of time working on. That's where Fluid can come in.

    Not a smart idea to have someone do maintenance work for you. There will always be high premium involved. All parties involved have to make money. I think it would be highly inefficient process in getting just an oil change. So many people have to talk to each other to get just an oil change. Fluid should follow Turo & get rid of providing services. Just be hands off platform. 200-300 a month? Not even worth creating account on it to try. Also the current model is not scalable for Fluid themselves. The number of agents required to deal with guests + hosts could be immense if this were to grow. Turo is trying to automate and cut interactions between agents & hosts. Like auto escalation of unpaid invoices

    Wonder what the month terms and interest rates are for those loans? Have to be something like 3-5 years for him to only be netting 250-350 per vehicle. Payments must be high. I financed a brand new 21 promaster in my LLC at 10% interest for 72 months and my payment was $850. I also wonder what percentage does fluid take and is that adjustable?

  • @junkmail1203
    @junkmail1203 2 года назад +10

    Wait is the math right?
    He has to personal guarantee an depreciating asset of $30k, to earn him $300 a month? That’s 1% per month, 12% a year.
    Not bad for passive income.
    And maybe able to sell the asset to recover at the end.
    And it’s scalable.
    Well I dunno, probably not for real estate investors. $50k down payment, buy a house, rent it out, and sell it in 5 years, would most likely beat the FVIP investment.

      The ROI isn't 1800 to 3000 per month, that's the profit per month after payments, insurance, tires, maintenance, etc.
      Per month his payments are likely 500-600x10(est. $5500), his insurance is probably $500 to $1000, and his maintenance probably averages $1000. A $5500 payment + $1000 maintenance + $1000 insurance + $2400 (av. of 1800-3000) profit= $9900, so if the vehicles were around 30k a piece the ROI is 37 months or so.
      I think he could cut the overhead in half and make more profit/ quicker ROI by buying 15-18k low mileage cargo vans instead of buying them new. They don't lose value as much as consumer vehicles, so you'll sell it when it's valued around 10k.

    • @DezLandPlayz
      @DezLandPlayz 2 года назад +1

      @@JosephLayden yea I was referring to his NET return on investment. Again, it's still way to much overhead!

    How much is the monthly payment for each vehicle? And how long is the payment term? And how much does each vehicle he bought cost on average? And finally, how much does he owe the bank for the 11 vehicles? This are very important questions.

    • @bangryman100
      @bangryman100 2 года назад

      Right. Because $250-$350 per month is barely covering the loan payment.
      If it is $250 per week then that can be $1000 per month, more or less.
      I don't know if I my Company would rent that much per month when I can just buy my own vehicles.

    $250 per month net profit after insurance, maintenance fee’s & all payouts for your over head is a terrible return on your money.
    $250 x 12 months = $3000.00
    $3000 x 10 years is $30,000.00
    Whats your initial investment for a truck/van? $45,000? Plus you can sell the vehicle after 10 years but still…there are way way better investments with better ROI (return on investment) on your money.

    Awesome information. I’m adding car mannagement to my aircraft management business. LLC has been around for a couple years so I think this would be a great opportunity.
