6201 Princess Elizabeth ret6urns to Liverpool Lime Street with The Cumbrian Mountain Express.
A lovely Loco under a fantastic train shed !!!
Also , to finish, a clip of the tour returning to Crewe, through Hartford, with class 37, 37385 Loch Arkaig in charge and Lizzie on the rear. This followed our train back through Hartford from Lime Street, a rather noisy journey, due to a large party on board celebrating a 30th birthday!!

Phil Clarke I know we’ve talked before ref a north wales 4 excursions in one day. But my dad whose now 79 lived in Liverpool in the early 60’s and I know he will wake up tomorrow and watch this and it will give him a lovely shiver as he got me into all this! what a great sight to see a steam engine standing at a platform of an enclosed station and the sound of her whistle when setting off just like the good old steam days
She was a great sight indeed, and that whistle echoing around the station was brilliant

haha I thought that as well last night. It was very lucky - had 46201 been just a minute late or the Pendolino a minute early then such a superb view would have been restricted.

A great and beautiful train, reminds me of the 70ies tv-series "The Famous Five" from Enid Blyton. I especially like the old diesel hydraulics of the BR. Best regards from south Germany

My old man was a fireman for LMS out of Fazakerley started as cleaner then took out fires and endec up fireman is it possible he fired this train ?

I can see myself at 3:01. I actualy went on that tour, wasnt planning to but when I found out 6201 would be on the front I immediately made a booking. Of all the people they had to let Matt Bedford be a part of the team, after what he did to me at Ribble he shouldnt be on the footplate.

Haha, I arranged ( if only ?? ) for it to stop for a few minutes at Ditton East Jn, for us to pass.
