Steam Train At Lime Street Station - 16th July 2023

A special charter train at Lime street today, an ex-LMS Jubilee class called Leander built in 1936. Brought in by a diesel loco and pulled away by the Steam Loco heading for Holyhead

Another great video. If only they could design an electric/diesel train with the body of a steam locomotive. Add in authentic audio to replace the humming. It'd give some character to each train. Kids would love it. So would nostalgic adults. Imagine being on a train with an electrified Thomas the tank engine at the front. Headed for an important business meeting.
