Lovely course. The planes were Eurofighter Typhoons. I played there maybe 20 years or so ago and remember the hole where the planes were almost within spitting distance above your head. They were Tornado fighters then, and the noise was unreal. Felt it in your chest and made your body tremble!
Great video Andy! 3 of the finer things in life - a magnificent golf course, great whisky and wonderful views of the Moray Firth! I was lucky enough to be a member there for a few years from 1979 and this brings back great memories of the golf and of Lossiemouth itself, which is a beautiful and friendly place. The 18th hole is probably the best hole I have ever played - a demanding tee shot and an incredible approach shot into a long narrow green, taking care to miss ‘Hell’s’ bunker on the left - just stunning! Saw some wonderful aircraft in those days, particularly Lightning’s and Vulcan bombers, all added to the special appeal of Moray Golf Club and Lossiemouth!🏌️♂️⛳️🥃🏴 👏👏
Nice one mate , well presented ! ,I’ve played there once before - a thoroughly enjoyable experience with its location / views / old Tom design & that last hole setting 👌 I believe the fighter jets at Lossiemouth are the Typhoons 👍
As Always this completes my Sunday, nothing better than you playing golf and getting rewarded with getting two fingers of your favorite libation at the end.
Really enjoyed that video - love the less obvious courses you play One question - liked the red top you wore - what brand was that and what is the logo ?
Really glad you enjoyed it, it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. I’m a member there and would love to see more coverage on RUclips. Did you contact the club or did they contact you?
Anytime these on course VLOGs I immediately press the thumbs up button. First class quality. It inspires me to come across the pond from the U.S. to tour Scottish links. Are you still playing PXG irons? I am playing the Gen4 Ps. Absolute premium sticks. Cheers
Andy it’s ‘Tamdoo’ (Tamdhu), I prefer the Aberlour and like yourself up until just over 40 yrs ago my only experience of whisky was either Bell’s or Grouse despite being from Crieff (Glenturret Distillery). Met and married a girl from Aberlour in 1980 and my introduction to Speyside malts began ha ha. So glad you enjoyed the course just a shame you didn’t get to play off the whites and had a little more sun & breeze. Next time you’re up this way I can take you round both Old & New it’s a little tighter with smaller greens but still a great test. Great advert for our course and the area in general, cracking camera work 👏👏👏
The music, the scenery, & the shots of the fighter jets were terrific (The commentary wasn't bad either). However, it's now coming to the time of year where getting out for the golf is limited. It's the worst time of year for me anyway. Ah well, the whisky still tastes as good during Winter.
I assume that was the Aberlour 12 you were tasting. You should find a bottle of the Aberlour A'bunadh. A little more expensive, but it's one of my favorites.
Great video again I could have spent some time just watching those jets for a while , again fantastic course and surroundings glad you lost that red golf ball

Out of the golf RUclipsrs I watch your camera work is by far the most artistic. Well done.
That shot of the 2 jet flying over your head as you where about to hit your shot is simply: Class!

Amazing footage Andy , a beautiful part of the country .
Old Moray is a great links - nice video Andy, really gives someone a good idea of what it’s like
Great shot with the planes overhead. No doubt the engine noise was unnerving.
It really was!

Loved the video. If you liked Aberlour, you have to try Glenrothes
I've said it before that your so fortunate to be able to play the old courses designed by Old Tom Morris, James Braid, H.S. Colt just to name a few.
One of the very best I've played. 18th is wonderful
Great video again I could have spent some time just watching those jets for a while , again fantastic course and surroundings glad you lost that red golf ball

Thanks for the video Andy, faultless golf videos as always. Whisky tasting needs a bit of work though. Perhaps get a few tips from RUclips!
